Could it be possible that Roxas went back in time to protect the key holes from darkness or to spread the darkness before Sora was able to do anything, and he just created the name Van?

That's unlikely. I don't think he'd do that since he's part of the Organization and probably didn't do any timetraveling while he was in it and he was wondering why he could wield the Keyblade himself so I don't think he'd have any idea what to do with the Keyholes. Plus Roxas controls the power of light and the only dark thing he can do is teleport.
