Sorry but taking it up to the community board will not work. Although it very violates the first amendment, there was a supreme court case just like this in the 1900s. The case name I have forgotten but students were around school wearing a black armband representing their disbelief in war. There were no segregated meetings, no plans, just black armbands. The Principle took up the armbands and went to court. It followed up to the supreme court and the court ruled into the favor of the principle.

"Stare Decisis" is a latin meaning saying "let the decision stand". Since the principle won, it is most likely in this case it will go against the students again according to the constitution courts. They will defintely not turn this over and you will be even worsened by this case and everyone is punished even more.




My choice, leave it alone. It will get you into more trouble then there already is.

Principle in my school searched myspace for pictures of alchohol, every person he found has gotten suspended for 3 days. He has found 18 so far. It's ****ed up, the first person went to court but got shot down quick by the judge.

The freedom of speech is limited to a certain extent, you must learn that.

The Court overruled the principal, but still allowed the schools to limit free speech. And yes, there is a difference between that and just defending the principal.

That's weird the EXACT same thing happened at my school. This kid named John (i'm not saying his last name) wrote that he wished our principal would die, the administration found it and he was suspended for 10 days. Some of his friends where putting up "Save John" posters and got suspended because of it. He is being tried as an adult.

my school is about the equivalant of any school the one thing i thought something was funny there was when a group of kids set up a chinesse fund and they're not exactly lying they said it was a chinesse fund no one questioned them. eventually the principle came and found that like $50 or something had been donated he finally asked them what it was for and they explained to him that they were raising money for Chinesse food across the the street so they could get a bite to eat. my dear lord the people at my school are generous but retarded. oh and by the way Jinx answer this for me what school isn't full of crap?

Wow I didn't even know it had already gotten so big oh yeah I joined that site just for the heck of it to see what they say about once I got back on monday to school if they suspended me my family will probably be angry as hell

Is it just me? Or do all schools in Georgia suck? I go to Newton High, and they are completely insane. They say next year, we have to wear the mesh bookbags (the see through/ netted ones) due to weapons and stuff, the guys have to tuk in their shirts, we can't wear heavy coats, and they SAY cell phones will be completely forbidden next year. It's crap, and they need to stop. Not to mention the freshmen hall smells like piss. But I totally don't get the whole Xanga thing..last time I checked you needed a password to get access to a certain person's pro, and that is invasion of privacy. If he did it at home, it's none of the school's business what so ever. Screw Georgia schools, they blow things way out of proportion and they can suck donkey face. >.O

I hope your friend gets the benefit, because what they are doing to him is an utter brainless act, and a complete waste of time. My support goes to you guys

I wouldn't call it that the teacher "digs" around. However, if Juan typed it out at home, then it's nothing of the teacher's business. She really has no right to have anything to say about the blog. Even if she just happens to "accidentally" find it, it doesn't conern the "teacher" character. I, personally, don't see the blog Juan posted as a threat, it's nothing serious.

If you say you wish someone dead then that automatically becomes a threat since wishes like that can become reality. It would be like walking into the school with a peice of paper of people you wish where dead (Hit list).
