I got my guide today as well and I do enjoy it very much. I have to say it's VERY well made and while the pages of the original KH1 guide outclass this one by far, it's a good guide that has mostly everything in it (from my quick flip-through) and it has a Re:CoM portion!!!!

I also kept my sticker and put it on the front cover (it's quite sticky so I wouldn't put it on a page since if you try to take it off down the road, I'm pretty sure its strong enough to rip the page). It's definitely the thickest KH guide to date but it has the added benefit of not only being hardcover but also being comprised of 2 games. If you REALLY want to be nitpicky, technically the largest KH guide is the LE KH2 guide with the hardcover and Jiminy's Journal inside (at least the US guides, IDK how thick the Ultimanias are since I've only seen them in photos).

The guide by BradyGames compiled all the information about command melding in a really huge table, showing you just how many combinations there are. Plus, we can also benefit from guides on all the many extras included in KH2FM, such as how to beat the new Mushroom Heartless and Absent Silhouettes.

So yeah, not only it would be excellent to have, it'd be a godsend.

The mushroom heartless aren't that bad. The game tells you how to beat them (IIRC).

You should. The LE guide has the second absolute worst binding I've ever seen for a strategy guide. Pretty soon, you'd to keep the pages together manually.

So the guide uses Xemnas to identify the Hollow Bastion secret boss. That was what I would like to know when it was first announced, whether it would refer to him as Xemnas or Unknown (or something similar).

For us who have played KH2 and see Xemnas dancing around with his ethereal blades, it's already obvious who the real identity of the man is. However, for those who haven't, it's kind of a spoiler, don't you think? But at least the fight doesn't really give away much information about what Xemnas was trying to accomplish by fighting Sora, and newcomers to the series would probably just see him as a simple secret boss battle like Kurt Zisa and Phantom, albeit with nonsensical (as of yet) speech thrown into the picture.

Honestly, if I was a new player to the series and I had the guide book and saw his name I would go "Oh, he has a name. Just like Kurt Zisa and The Phantom. Cool" and then be on my way. Not until I get to Re:CoM would I question the appearance and go "wait, they are dressed like that man. But none of their names are Xemnas...".
I feel like you guys are kinda overreaching with this.

I ordered it online from ozgameshop since it was only $30. No way to tell what their release date is though

Anh, I posted my long, tedious review of the strat book on Amazon. I honestly expected more. In one word, I'd say this guide is: meh. It had a boring design.

Yeah, it did start out that way I guess, but I'm just not assuming anything regarding who buys/doesn't buy this guide.

Anyway, the book is flawed and the layout is somewhat dull. I'll just leave it at that.
