I like the further detail in Angela. One small thing; an unbreakable knife? How can we justify that in the Heroes mythology? I like the creativity, but if you can edit that to something a little bit more Heroes-esque, that'd be good. She doesn't have to have powers (although I did think the laser-vision thing was cool) but anything just more in the tone of Heroes would be good.

I'm in the process of throwing in my own character in a moment or too. At this point, we're about ready to start; but I will allow for more people to submit characters

To be honest, I never watched Heroes that much. Never got really interested in it.
I guess I can change the "unbreakable" to "nearly unbreakable"
Could be made from a very strong alloy.
I know there's one that can withstand like 300,000psi, or something around there, when made right.

Name: Grant Clarence Miles

Age: 24

Gender:Male

Appearance: Grant is tall and slim, standing at 6’3” with a head of strong black hair. He is handsome in a somewhat exotic way, having definitely mixed-asian look about him. He is slim, yet toned and muscular, fit, cut in a subtle way. When he walks it, it is with definitive confidence, and a mischievous grin. However, he bears an uncanny air of subtle contentment; that everything is simply alright. His hair is jet black, cut slightly short and often spiked a bit in the front. His eyes are a deep brown, almost black in their dark chocolate color. He is a sandy gold color, not quite tan, but retaining a simple healthy color. He often wears black; lots and lots of black.

Personality: There was a bit of a shift in Grant’s personality. In high school, the most clear personality trait of Grant was his niceness. He tried everyday to be a good person; to live a Christian life. Even as a senior in high school, with his experiences in the drug-filled, sex-crazed, look out for yourself society, he attempted to be the honorable, good man. He could come off as tired, and emotionless, although in reality, he simply does not feel the need to constantly talk. While decent at smalltalk, and possessing a good sense of humor, Grant is not always confidant when it comes to beautiful women. He often falls into the 'nice guy' category, and while his life as a Christian makes him invaluable as a friend, it often cut him off of the dating ladder. However that cool, calm demeanor hides much repressed passion and emotion. His greatest fear is disappointing others; he works hard to please those around him. Intelligent, hard-working, but with a distaste for history and dates, he tried hard in school only to get into college, to support his financially struggling family.

Upon graduating college, Grant entered seminary. His development from high-school kid into man had taken place. Grant is an interesting fellow. A natural ladies man, he plays the role of the gentleman well. Kind, yet teasing, smart, yet witty, he holds an air of relaxed coolness. He is often considered wise, holding a strange air of understanding that permeates every aspect of his life. Generally well-liked, he radiates calm, cool, understanding, like a fountain releases water. While deeply interested in religion, particularly Christianity of which he believes, he has come to a turning point in his faith, which reflects on his character. An eloquent speaker, Grant is fantastic with rhetoric, and often times can convince even the most stalwart of brutes to calm down and think. Despite this however, he harbors deeper secrets than he’d like to reveal…

Occupation: Student Preacher

Ability: Enlightenment- Grant has the ability to understand things. Conclusions that might take a normal person years to understand, Grant puts together in a few seconds. This clarity and understanding is almost like a sixth sense, allowing Grant to discern various things about a situation in a moment’s notice. Upon meeting a person, Grant might understand why there were there, what they are currently doing, and how they ended up there. While he cannot predict the future, nor read minds, he somehow is capable of understanding immensely complicated conclusions based on mere observation.

Location: Newark, New Jersey

History: Born in Manhattan, Grant moved to our lovely city when he was 7 years old. He was raised by a very Christian family; his father was a pastor, his mother owned a restaurant, and from the moment he could read, was attending Sunday School, and learning about the values taught by Jesus Christ. With a semi-conservative father, and a more liberal Asian mother, Grant entered school as a bit of a weird nerd. He loved science, a love which would grow with him as time went on. He entered Taekwondo when he was 9, and is now a fourth degree black belt. Upon entering middle school, while he was still a bit awkward and nerdy, his nicety was recognized, and he earned a position in the school, one which carried onto High School. In his Senior Year in high school, he developed a bit more; he became more physically capable, and slowly, became more confident.

He moved to Newark after college, where he entered seminary. His training in theology came second only to his training in martial arts; at this point, Grant had been training in Tae Kwon Do, Krav Maga, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiujitsu, and a bit of MMA. Martial arts to Grant was like physical meditation; a way to control one’s body and connect with the capabilities of the human frame. He is now studying to become a full preacher. He has yet to realize that he possesses any superhuman ability, but he is slowly becoming aware that something about his perception is different then most peoples.

Name:Yuuka Ookiyama/Anji (stage name)

Age: 25

Gender: Female

Appearance: Essentialy? she has been made up to look like anyother Japanese popstar. Long black hair, perfect teeth, wide eyes, and a "hot" body. she wears skimpy clothes. This look, to her disapproval, has weaved its way into her regular wardrobe. She would rather be sen in whatver was comfortable at the time.

Personality: Whilst her pop alter ego is "innocent" and "bubbly" Yuuka's real personalit is quite opposite. she can be quite snarky and sarcastic, often having an inner monologue of the conversations she is happening (i.e whist "Anji" is talking cutesy, Yuuka will be speaking sarcastically). She is also, despite the assumption that all popstars are chaste, extremely flirty, although dignified.

Occupation: Popstar

Ability: Olfactory Endowment - She can give an object or person a certain scent . She cannot control how strong or what smell initially but will eventually be able to control it.

Location: Osaka, Japan

History:Yuuka has always been in the spotlight. Her parents were both famous in there heyday, and because of this she has always felt lots of pressue to perform, and perform well. When she turned 17 she, at much nudging by her parents, joined popular singing group GirlSensation! Before long, she beame the most popular singer in the group signng her to lucrativemovie deals, solo albums, and all the rest.

The truth was though, that she never cared much for any of it. Her favourite kind of music is death metal. If she could have her own way, she would have never joined the group, which her father forced her to do. At the start of the fic she is in Osaka, recording a next album. (She generally resides in Tokyo.) She hasn't yet discovered her power.

Personality: She is always in a good mood because she let’s no one get her down. She is family oriented and is a daddy’s girl. She knows that she is very attractive and sometimes uses that to get her way and is seen as flirtatious. She is all about getting her life the way she wants it so she doesnt look for a boyfriend or anything. Her mintality is study now...party later.

Occupation: College Student (junior Year), works at Hooters

Ability: Gasous Breath (the ability to breathe out other forms of gas besides carbon dioxide....such as poisonous gas, acidic gas, sleeping gas, regular fog, even pure oxygen, and anything inbetween)

Location: Miami, Florida

History: Zahara is not aware of her ability yet. She is the oldest of 3 girls. She just wants to get college over with so she can start real life as college life is full of drama. Her father has always told her that she was special and she feels the same way but she doesnt know why.

Name: Lila Wrothe (Lie - la) (Roth)

Age:21

Gender:Female

Appearance: Shoulder length blonde hair, usually with blue streaks, about 5'6, average weight, the pale skin of a porcelain doll, ussually overdoes the eyeliner and eye shadow, wears stylish bright clothes, usually not too revealing. Very attractive in general

Personality: Very timid and shy around others, very bad self esteem despite comments from guys, though she finds it awkward. She willl blow up on anyone if they mess with her or her small group of friends, despite her shy nature. Sh often paints and writes at her apartment, and occasionally pick up the guitar, despite be horrible at it. She is a smoker and easily cracks under pressure - which often resorts to her drinking.

Occupation: Cashier at walmart, various stuff at mcdonalds part time, though occasionally a freelance writer for websites and the local paper (she also has an interview coming up to become a journalist for a magazine...I do not believe it will end well XD)

Ability: Lila has the ability to feel others emotions as her own, which could lead to disasterous results in a crowd, if the ability were perfectly mastered, she could also home in on others peoples locations, going by their emotions, summoning emotions for different uses (see NOTES) and to an extent, control others peoples emotions. And perhaps other mind-related powers such as telekinesis with massive training.

Location: Columbus, Ohio

History: Lila has never been in the spotlight, not that she minds, even when she was a child, her parents were too busy working to have a place to live to pay much attention to her. Her closest companion was the old lady next door, who often baby-sat her, that is, until she had passed from natural causes. After that, Lila was more or less on her own, in high school, she made a small group of friends, including a emo boy she eventually fell for, but still remains friends as of now, other than that, she was mostly invisible in high school, other than parties, NO ONE can party like Lila! One day, in her senior year, Lila unexplainibly burst into tears in the middle of class, she felt as if all had lost, she felt as if the world had fcuked her over, as if she had lost someone - all for no reason - she immediatly ran to the restroom, where another girl wept, as she tried to comfort the girl, the girl confessed "my mother just died in a car accident". This was the first of many incidents involving strong emotions, some good, some bad, and some she had never experienced before

NOTES: When she firsts obtains her ability, she can only feel very strong emotions, but as it develops, eventually, the smallest feeling a mile away will be intense, she could descend into madness unless she learns to control her ability

Her personality if often the polar opposite when intoxicated.

She could also benifit from emotions such as fear,adrenaline and anger, as it could make her faster, stronger, etc, you could really go crazy with the ability.

Appearance: American/Japanese. Tall, well built, spiked black hair and Icy eyes. Knows his way around martial arts fairly well, hes very mysterious, hangs out in the corners always observing. Not somebody you want to mess with.
Personality: Quiet, always has an intelligent answer for a question, often cloaked in riddle to throw his enemys or friends off. Gravitates towords being alone, but when his very small group of friends are in trouble he is loyal and will not back down.
Occupation: Nobody knows what he does, because he always dissapears in the blink of an eye.
Ability: Can warp shadows to do his bidding, can make shadows become "real", signiture move of sorts would be to bend the shadows into copies of himself each with a different gifts, called shadow gifts, they can do what others can but the powers are only usable once, making the copies vulnerable after the spend their attack. He can also travel through shadow, vulnerable when no shadows are around. Eventually discover that he has a flip side to his ability, he can bend light as well.

History: Got into a fight in the park one night, he was about to be killed when suddenly there were 6 of him standing there. One with Fire in his hands, the others all had a different ability, the assailant was of course killed, being that the power of Xavior's could not be ultimatlely controlled. He flees into the south side of chicago where he learns to control his powers through fighting gangs. Although later he abuses his powers making his side, hero or villian, questionable.

Her skin is lightly tanned and her hair is the color of caramel with black streaks which goes over her shoulder in a loose braid tied with a torn piece of red cloth. Wears a light,blue undershirt with two blue underneath and four golden bracelets and black jeans.

Personality:
On the outside, she can be described as lonely,sad, and shy. But her eyes tell a different story. Inside, she's completely different. When someone triggers her other side, Olivia is outgoing, funny, and flirty. It's a disease she has that is called "Split Personalities". When her shy side is out, she's "Olivia", but when her other side comes out, she calls herself "Vivi", for an unknown reason. When no one is around, Olivia sings in a beautiful voice and draws in her sketchbook.

Occupation:
Part time Baby-sitter and full time artist. Goes under her other name,Vivi.

Ability:
Depending on the personality and person she takes on, Olivia/Vivi can bring out the bad side out of anyone and in that period of time, make that person do whatever she wants. If she is "Vivi", she can control the person for a much longer period of time. But when she's herself,Olivia, she can only do it for so long before she passes out.

History:
Olivia Harrison was born to an alcholic mother and a father who did jack about her mother's actions. Three years after Olivia was born, her father moved out and into an apartment in Las Vegas. Her mother beat her and made her work regulary, forcing Olivia too take care of herself. When she was five years old, she created a pretend friend she called "Vivi," who was a better person then she. She did everything that Olivia couldn't,like go outside and play with friends-like she had any- or go to school. Vivi soon became an important part of Olivia's young life.

When Olivia grew to her 10th year, she packed a couple bags and ran away from her hometown of San Fransisco and managed to get all the way to LA,where she lived until her 20th year. She had grew up with her pretend friend Vivi and used her for every situation Olivia herself couldn't handle.

Sorry Aldrain, I don't know if it's gonna work for the story I have going right now. I've got a good set of characters right now, and I don't know how I can work that specific one in. It's just too impersonal; very caricature of mysterious guy, and not enough of a human character I can work with. Hope that makes sense
