Name: Like hell I'm telling you!
Nickname: Blaster
Physical Age: 19; because of a deal he made, it’s he’s the actual age he’s supposed to be.
Gender: Male
Reason for becoming a Collector: How many times does he have to say this? He doesn’t WANT to be a damned Collector! Thanks to a friggin’ slip of the tongue he’s stuck on the wrong side of this whole screwed up thing; if it wasn’t for the deal he’d made, he would have turned himself into Static already!
Personality: Seems like his status as a Collector has taken all of his worst traits and magnified them. He’s impulsive, brash, cocky and has a hellacious mouth on him. While reckless, he’s also highly intelligent, giving his actions a great deal of thought at times. He barely keeps his temper in check, and nearly always has a cutting remark primed and ready for the comeback. He looks for just about any reason for a fight, and while he might not throw the first punch, he’ll use catcalls and jeers until the one he’s harassing snaps and takes a swing at him, and then it’s on. This attitude is reserved for the Fragmented and other Collectors. Authority figures? His attitude still shows in his body language, though none of it reaches his voice; he’s very respectful, following his orders right down to the letter. He’s a very dedicated, hardworking man, completing his missions to the fullest. However, while he may keep his mouth in check and his attitude “under” control around the brass, you still get the definite impression of him flipping you the bird even as he’s following orders.
Despite all of this, there’s only an occasional time when he’ll attack without provocation. He calls it “The Rage”: a dark, festering hurricane of the blackest anger and violent hatred he’s ever known. When this happens, he loses nearly all sense of his humanity, gaining an animalistic edge to his senses and turning his instincts primal and lethal. He knows the source of this destructive nature, but he doesn’t know the cause. While he may have ways of keeping it somewhat under control, fear’s eating him alive that it’s gonna blow his chance to get out, which makes him even more pissed, burying what remains of his gentle side until you’re lucky to even catch a glimpse of the guy he use to be.
Appearance: Things have changed for Blaster since he became a Collect0r. 6’2” and lightly tanned, he has the lean, powerful build of a wild cat. He’s got dark hair that’s styled in messy spikes with a few strands of light blonde thrown in the mix. And before you ask, yes, that’s his natural hair color; he did NOT dye those strands. His bangs hang in front of his face, shadowing startling blue-violet eyes. His eyes are intensified even further by the tattoos that ring them and streak down the sides of his face, looking just like the tear marks around a big cat’s eyes. He has one more tat under his right eye that’s a dead ringer for the stripes of a certain predator. He usually wears dark wash distressed jeans, black boots and a long black jacket over a white tee. The tee used to be full length, but it’s gotten kinda shredded at the bottom, so a couple inches of skin and the edge of another tattoo are visible. He wears black, fingerless gloves and a silver cross pendent. His looks, strength and gait all give him the appearance of a tiger on the prowl. Other than that, there’s a very fine, delicate gold chain he wears besides the cross; this chain looks almost like something a girl would wear. What could be hiding at the other end?
Abilities/Weapons: He’s a brawler, so his style is up in your face, relentless assault. He supplements his stickers with a flurry of brutal punches and kicks, using his own body as a weapon. Don’t let that make you think he’s reckless though; he’s devious, using his environment to his advantage and always looking for even the smallest opening in his opponent’s defenses. Never let your guard down for even the smallest half an instant, or you’re screwed.
Iron Fist: Though Blaster's preferred fight is a wild, full out brawl, he's also supreme in a more tactical battle as well. He knows several different techniques from different disciplines and styles of martial arts. He uses his advance knowledge to chain varied combos, karate flowing into tai-kwan-do to judo, using the unpredictability of his strikes to his advantage.
Demon: Two words: Lightning bruiser. Blaster has a lean but muscular build, lending him a surprisingly high speed to his strikes; he's trained with weighted clothes, an old favorite of martial artists, so there's that to take into account too. Watch your back and keep a close eye on him when he really gets going; or should I say, good luck trying to see what he's up to when the weights come off?
The Rage: Blaster's most lethal technique, for the Fragmented and fellow Collectors alike. He enters a state of berserk power, gaining an animal edge to his perception and his strength, even in the way he
moves. The sticker for the Rage has manifested as the tear streak tattoos around his eyes; while these tats are the only tells of it when it's dormant, there are a few signs for when the Rage starts taking over. A tail might appear, his fingernails become more claw-like, or his eyes will change to a yellow color with cat pupils. The signs are never together all at once; it’s one, big maybe two.
Here’s hoping the full change never takes place.
Yeah, between his status as a rather new collector and his opinions on battle anyway, he's kind of bare bones, by don't take the minimalistic nature of his techniques as his being less capable; it just means that he's hiding the really big guns up his sleeve for what he considers to be a real situation. Other than that, it's the typical memory collection and Static manipulation.
Bio: Blaster knows far more about this shit than he’s ever wanted to. How, you ask? He’s been on both sides of this whole damn affair: from running the hell away from the Collectors as he scrambled to recover his memories; to his mouth getting him in trouble and winding up as one of those collecting bastards himself.
He also knows of an incident that turned him into a monster even among these freaks. He was given the "honor" of being chosen to test an experimental sticker for the Collectors in return for his freedom. All he had to do was master the power of the sticker, before the Rage mastered him, and he had a year to do it in. Simple, right? Well, it might of been, if he hadn't told the leader of the group to rot in a very hot local. Because of that, he's pretty much
positive this thing's become a lot harder than it should have been, though he's not about to call the cheating bastard out on it again; he might be rash, but he's not stupid. He's figuring that, after pissing off Mirror, and "accidentally" killing the two Collectors he'd been partnered with, it
might be a good idea to just do his job.
Blaster doesn’t let himself get close to anyone, so unless you’ve been around him for the year he’s been Collecting, you aren’t going to get to know shit about his past.
Other: Since becoming “infected”, Blaster’s taken up a smoking habit. No, it’s not because he’s looking for nicotine high; it’s all about keeping the Rage under control. The cigarettes have cloves and other things in the mixture, allowing him to keep some degree of calm. In truth, he hates the damn things, but it’s the only way he’s found to keep the Rage under control, so he almost always reaches for one when he feels his grip slipping. Granted, he hasn’t been able to keep on top of the Rage every time, but the cigarettes keep it from happening too often, so he puts up with the nicotine and cloves.
