Alright everyone. I know we have nothing to go by with DS but I sorta been thinking about this far-fetched idea… I know the Terra=Xehanort thing is popular but I don’t want to accept it just yet.

I believe DS to be current day Xehanort. I believe DS was supposed to be a clone of Master Xehanort made by Master Xehanort’s own being. (like taking your dna and making a child that looks exactly how you did at it’s age..but in a more KH theme). I began thinking this when I saw the KHII final mix secret ending when DS came out of Master Xehanort (appearing as the Master at first) then turning into a younger more muscular being. This is also the reason why our current day Xehanort has the same name as the Master…because it’s technically his name as well. What also made think DS is current day Xehanort is when Nomura said that after we play BBS we’ll see that the events of KH and KHII were not a coincidence but “inevitable”. Alright picture this. Master Xehanort created a clone of himself to carry on in obtaining Kingdom Hearts if the Master were to die or to fail. Keep that in mind. Now let’s say when Master Xehanort is so close to obtaining it he finds out he has been wrong (about what I don’t know yet) and he can’t use KH for his selfish reasons. Though he has realized his mistake his clone is already following in his foot steps to obtain KH…being consumed by darkness. Which brings us to Xehanort telling Terra/Ven/Aqua whoever “That man is already consumed by darkness.” and the “…correct my mistake.” lines. Somehow Ven/Terra/Aqua defeats DS but they are unable to stop the growing Xehanort but can manage to wipe his memory and put him back in square one. Starting over on his plans to take KH. That’s why when he is found in HB by AtW he can only remember his name and that he has a taste for darkness.

The thing that hinders my idea/theory (to my knowledge) is current day Xehanort isn’t(or hasn’t been seen) able to wield. This is what I think could patch up the hole. What if DS obtains his keyblade around the same age (appearance of age) that Master Xehanort obtained his? Like MX got it at age 23 so there for DS gets it when he is 23 (appears to be 23….and I’m just picking 23 to show age…it’s not an actual canon age). Therefore when he loses his memory and is put back in “square one” sort of speak he hasn’t reached the age where he will obtain the keyblade, therefore non is seen.

Alright everyone. I know we have nothing to go by with DS but I sorta been thinking about this far-fetched idea… I know the Terra=Xehanort thing is popular but I don’t want to accept it just yet.
Or a fan-fiction idea.

I believe DS to be current day Xehanort.
I do too but can you back this up.

This is also the reason why our current day Xehanort has the same name as the Master…because it’s technically his name as well.
Well all xehanort knew was the name xehanort so he was named as such.

What also made think DS is current day Xehanort is when Nomura said that after we play BBS we’ll see that the events of KH and KHII were not a coincidence but “inevitable”. Alright picture this. Well he was playing with TAV so i dont expect that he really lost.
Keep that in mind. Now let’s say when Master Xehanort is so close to obtaining it he finds out he has been wrong (about what I don’t know yet) and he can’t use KH for his selfish reasons. Xemnas and Ansem SoD had no problem using KH. He is respondable for what happened to the DS unless hes lieing.
Your saying that they defeat the DS but MX is found in Radiant Garden. More like a taste for knowledge.

Thats not the only thing.
Still you didnt consider the DS's height which doesnt match the height of xehanort.

I believe DS to be current day Xehanort.

Not very likely...

I believe DS was supposed to be a clone of Master Xehanort made by Master Xehanort’s own being. (like taking your dna and making a child that looks exactly how you did at it’s age..but in a more KH theme).

Eh...

This is also the reason why our current day Xehanort has the same name as the Master…because it’s technically his name as well.

Or it could just be MX.

If MX was being truthful, he would have stopped DS himself. He's more than powerful enough.

Somehow Ven/Terra/Aqua defeats DS but they are unable to stop the growing Xehanort but can manage to wipe his memory and put him back in square one. Starting over on his plans to take KH.

The this brings up the age/height problem that greatly hinders this theory:

Xehanort what what, in his twenties during Mickey's flashback?
Since that scene takes place roughly a couple of months after BBS, DS would have to be near this age.

Now, DS stands roughly a head size shorter than Xehanort. Sure, DS could have a growth spurt and catch up with Xehanort, if he was a teenager.

If DS was Xehanort, he would have to be (or be near) his twenties during BBS. If that were so, he would be rather old for a growth spurt, don't you think?

The thing that hinders my idea/theory (to my knowledge) is current day Xehanort isn’t(or hasn’t been seen) able to wield.

That's the least thing that hinders this theory... =/
Anyways, the best reason as to why Xehanort cannot wield a keyblade would be because he lost his memory, thus he would not remember that he could wield (or loose the ability to wield altogether).

I actually like this theory. It makes a lot of sense and would also explain the meaning behind the anagram of another in Xehanort's name. The game itself will be too complex for any theory to be truly right, but this one's good as far as I'm concerned.

You're in denial.

I believe DS to be current day Xehanort. I believe DS was supposed to be a clone of Master Xehanort made by Master Xehanort’s own being. (like taking your dna and making a child that looks exactly how you did at it’s age..but in a more KH theme).

Eh. I'm iffy about the whole 'cloning' thing. It just doesn't seem like something MX would really do, imo. I don't really see him as much of a scientist type, such as Vexen.

I began thinking this when I saw the KHII final mix secret ending when DS came out of Master Xehanort (appearing as the Master at first) then turning into a younger more muscular being. This is also the reason why our current day Xehanort has the same name as the Master…because it’s technically his name as well.

Or, like KBL mentioned, when the present day Xehanort that we all know and love awoke in Radiant Garden, the only thing he could remember was the name 'Xehanort' so he took it as his own.

Still iffy about the whole 'cloning' thing since that doesn't seem to fit into the KH theme.

Or, you know, he could be lying to them. Bad guys do that, you know.

I doubt that after getting their asses handed to them in the trailer, that TAV could take down DS. That doesn't make any sense to me.

Also, like OmniChaos said, if DS really was a threat to MX, he surely could have taken him on himself. After all, MX defeated TAV with one hand behind his back. Surely he could be able to take on DS himself.

The thing that hinders my idea/theory (to my knowledge) is current day Xehanort isn’t(or hasn’t been seen) able to wield.

The only thing? What about the height factor? DS is about a head shorter than current day Xehanort is. Unless he somehow grew literally overnight after the battle, there's no way he could be as tall as Xehanort is in that flashback we see in KH2 which is just mere months after BBS ends.

I doubt age has anything to do with being able to wield. When you are chosen by the Keyblade, then you're able to wield. It doesn't matter how young or old you are.

It's more likely that Xehanort, having no memories of his past, forgot the ability to wield and hasn't had his Awakening yet, should he have one.

Eh. My only argument against this is that in KH, we haven't had any implications to even suggest the existence of clones. We've had characters messed with hearts, we've had characters mess with darkness, but we've never had any characters mess with DNA or cloning at all. And it just doesn't seem to fit in KH, imo.

Eh... Vexen and Riku Replica?

i posted a theory relatively close to this yesturday, just not as much detail and and not exactly the same.
i still prefer the MX = Terra theory, but this is my second favorite. nice job

Oh... right. Meh, forget about that then.

I still doubt that DS is a clone of MX though. It just doesn't feel right to me.

This is the only other theory about Xehanort. :/

Why are we assuming that it's only a couple of months, rather than a full year? Remember, no matter which one is Xehanort, the ending of BBS will be around when Ansem saves him - and he really should have been around for more than a few months to have time to do all of his experiments and such. The scene with Mickey isn't long before Xehanort opens the door, if you go by the Ansem Reports.

In any case, Terra looks significantly younger than Xehanort, too.

Because time has to be provided for everything that takes place after that flashback to happen.

Not really...

Either way, be it a few months or a year, it's still not possible for DS to grow a full head taller in that period of time. Biologically speaking, he is past the age that his body would grow any more.

Not that much younger. They look around the same age to me.

I might have missed an actual age somewhere, but how old was Xehanort when Ansem took him in?

Males also tend to keep growing into their early 20s, so he'd have to be at least 25 to safely say he couldn't grow substantially anymore. And really, Xehanort's Heartless / Xemnas didn't look around 35 to me. (That's some amazing looking 35 years old, then~)

What makes you think Heartless and Nobodies age (well, Namine aged, but she's a very, very special case, so)?

If it's any indication, all the Xehanorts have the exact same height.

Xemnas is more muscular and has a deeper voice than Apprentice Xehanort,
which is an indication that Xemnas aged over those ten years.

They never say Xehanort's actual age. But you can tell at least from his appearance that he's at least in his early 20's.

Still. Even if they do keep growing into their early 20's, there is no way that I see fit for a male around 16 to grow a full head in height in only a couple of months. A few inches, yes, but I don't see him growing that tall and his body structure growing to fit him at that age. Unless, of course, he has a growth spurt overnight which would really be the only way that I could see DS becoming as tall as Ter- Xehanort.

Its not months its 10 years he'd have to grow if he is Xehornort so it is possibly he could grow a whole head

He didn't get any taller than he was in Mickey's flashback, all of the Xehanorts have the exact same height, so no, he had little less than a year at most.

No, it's months...
The flashback we saw Xehanort in took place a couple of months (most likely 3-6) after BBS.
