I already started Episode 2 and they'll handling Trucy better than they did in DD and AJ (and AJ was really when she was an okay character). Other than that, I liked AJ, but the problem with that one is that you have a main character that's put aside in order to resolve the conflict between two of the other main characters.

But yeah, as I now, I REALLY recommending buying this game!

A few pages ago I made a guess at the real killer given the limited information we had, but I'm happy I was wrong. Bonny is 2adorable; but once you figured out she had a twin the idea of her being the culprit flew out the window. Plus that Robert Downy Jr/Johnny Depp looking diddlyer was shady as shit from the get go. Prosecutor is pretty unlikable so far. Most of the others had a redeeming quality right off the bat (Edgeworth was suave as hell, franziska's whip antics were humorous at many points, Godot was a coffee junkie, etc) but this guy's whole shtick is "I'm a monk, you're a disgusting sinner and I'm holier than thou. U goin' to hell." I hope he gets better soon since we literally opened in court with him insulting you and the judge just brushed it off with a "eehhh he's from a place that hates lawyers. Deal w/ it, ya pansy." Just once I'd like to see the defense slam the prosecution for being assholes even if they get their comeuppance at the end in a victory pay off. "I'm going to hell? diddly you, you're under contempt of court." Video games. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Sorry, can't read that. :< Haven't cleared that Episode yet. Though I'm excited! Seeing as how I want to know who the victim is, why was he killed and I have my suspicions on an specific individual... Other than that, I also want to see more of Trucy, since she's really fleshed out in this game. And it's also the Turnabout where the new prosecutor stars, too! xD~

I finished Episode 2 yesterday, so I can F I N A L L Y react!

I stayed spoiler virgin for Spirits of Justice, so I only knew what the DEMO showed me, LOL. But after watching Bonny's "change in heart" with the Ratings Rajah, I knew something was fishy. But then the revelation came.

Also, I SURE AS HELL HOPE they don't make Roger Retinz just a failed Gramarye. LOOK AT THIS BACK STORY! He disappeared from Troupe Gramarye after an accident! It's the same backstory for Apollo's father!

But I doubt this is the case, seeing as how Thalassa was 16 when she first had Apollo (her age: 40, minus Apollo's: 24 = 16). Roger is 35, meaning he'd be 11!!!!! xD

And I find it too coincidental that they'd reuse the Gramarye plot-line just for one Episode. They even used Trucy's succession from her grandfather as a motive. They even mention Lamiroir and Apollo wonders how she is.

But judging how the game's overarching plot will be centered on Apollo's relationship with Nahyuta and the Rebels of Khura'in, I doubt the Gramarye plot line will see a closure in this game (hopefully I'm wrong, since I'm halfway through Episode 3 and I think this game has two more Episodes to go).

I mean, when in hell will Phoenix tell Trucy and Apollo that they're siblings...?! This is something that needs to FINALLY be addressed, for Heaven's sake! Apollo is sharing the spotlight with the franchise's protagonist: Phoenix! For all we know, Apollo might end up being the series' new front face (which I doubt, but Ace Attorney needs to go on from Phoenix).

Besides the point, I pretty much agree with you about Prosecutor Padhmadi. I just want to punch the 3DS' screen whenever he speaks. xD I also get that feeling in general when in Khura'in. Maybe it's intended to be that way. To feel rage over the prosecution and Khura'in. Also, it's been a series staple for the court system to favor the prosecution. What with the guillable judge and all. But I concur, Nahyuta is just so damn hard to like. The only thing I like about him is his design, his theme, his reactions, breakdown and theme song. I don't like his objection voice clip because it sounds a tad similar to Simon Blackquill's. Another reason why I don't like him is because we've gotten yet another Eastern themed prosecutor. Though that's just me. Blackquill is the samurai, and Padhmadi is the monk. And if you take your time to observe, they're polar opposites. Simon is mostly black, while Nahyuta is mostly white. Blackquill's reaction's are mostly rough, while Padhmadi's are mostly tranquil, but aggressive when they need to.

Speaking of something I don't like, but this is pertaining to Dual Destinies: the failure of properly writing the theme of the Dark Age of the Law. I find it funny that the game before and the game after DD did the Dark Age theme better. Apollo Justice had you as the apprentice of a murderous attorney. Then you pass unto the mantle of a disbarred attorney under allegations of forgery. Then you discover that he was set into a trap by your former mentor, which is now a murderous and evidence forging egomaniac.

Then comes Spirit of Justice where it mentions that Trucy's case will be handled by an international prosecutor because the Chief Prosecutor is cleaning the office of corrupt prosecutors.

I mean, just look at that! Those two games handled the Dark Age theme better than the game centered on it! Hell, even the first Ace Attorney game did it good with Edgeworth's and von Karma's supposed back street dealings, briberies and talk of a perfect record! Don't even get me started on how Franziska craftily showed the court a photo of Maya channeling Mia, but didn't submit it because it was illegal evidence. And when she willingly withhold information from the court in Case 3 of the second game.

What I'm trying to say is: DD was centered on the Dark Age of the Law. But it just felt although it was a theme that was unexplored, and more of a word repeated throughout the game just for the sake of saying. I mean, what was dark about the game? A court room exploding and becoming a crime scene? Okay, I'll grant that and say it was an excellent intro for the game and theme. A convict prosecutor on charges of murder handling a case? Pfft! That's just the series being over the top as always. Now see, the murder on Themis Legal Academy was metaphorical for the overarching plot of the fifth game, but it was just so damn simple that it's message wasn't very powerful. Then we finally touch Blackquill's case. I think the darkest moment of the game was when Trucy was kidnapped, yet it wasn't as powerful as Maya's kidnap in the second game because Trucy wasn't as relevant as a character as in AJ, nor now in SOJ.

But overall, this is a MEGA improvement from Dual Destinies. Goes to show that, even though Shu Takumi has retired from making main-line Ace Attorney games, the series is in good hands.

So i'm about halfway through case 4 so far and I love this game so much.
Case 1s villain is just amazing, his animations really impresed me . I think its one of the better 1st cases.
Case 2 is great too and it really made me like Trucy.
Case 3 is probably the best case in the series, some really emotional and exciting moments.
Case 4 is kind of annoying me right now, but Simon makes up for it

Also, I finished the game. Sad to say so, since this was an amazing experience and can't wait for GS7... ;~;

I completely forgot about AA6. Downloaded it about 24 hours ago. Just started Case 3, I was about to play it until I realised I never played the DLC case for AA5. So I'm gonna go back and play that one real quick before I continue with AA6.

Episode 4 is classic Ace Attorney filler.

Hmm, strange. Usually Ep 3 is the filler case.

Hmm, strange. Usually Ep 3 is the filler case.

I know, but in this case, it's Episode 4. And it makes sense, seeing as how we departed from Khura'in (Ep.1), to the States (Ep.2), so we'd need a case to further explore Khura'in (Ep.3). It also makes sense to have Ep.4 be filler because we need a break from all this inflow of Khura'in, because the fifth episode is pretty long and revolves around Khura'in's elements.

I wouldn't say I breezed through them. I just started playing in the morning, and finished pretty close to midnight. After that I was pretty exhausted. I felt like I had some catching up today, so instead of examining everything thing during investigations (regardless of whether or not it was important to the case) I moved on as soon as they told me I obtained all the evidence. Plus, I didn't bother to press every statement during the Cross Examinations like I usually do. If I knew where evidence need to me presented, I did that immediately. Although that may have hindered more than helped, because I landed quite a few penalties going about it that way. I forget that sometimes you need to press all statements without presenting evidence to progress the game. Or even just press a single statement to reveal new information to be added to the testimony.

I was gonna take it slow with episode 3, but now I need to hurry up and finish the DLC episode for AA5. The bad thing is, I kind of burned myself out because of the way I played the first two episodes of AA6. So I think I'll spend the entire day just doing the DLC episode. Maybe I'll save some for tomorrow if it proves to be a long episode.

Yeah. Sometimes I would first press a statement I know I have the correct piece of evidence for just in case the Pressing has a present sequence in it.

Episode 3 is one of the series' most emotionally packed case.

Sadly, I also don't get the pun in his name (assuming there is, seeing as how most rival prosecutors don't have a pun in 'em: Miles Edgeworth, Manfred von Karma, Franziska von Karma, Godot, Klavier Gavin, Simon Blackquill). The only prosecutors with a pun in 'em are Winston Payne (winced in pain), Jacques Portsman (jacqueS PORTSMAN, S PORTSMAN, SPORTSMAN), Gaspen Payne (gasp in pain, perhaps?) and presumably the prosecutor from GK2 has a pun centered on "the best" in it.
