That's what I find surprising considering the fact that I hear people all the time saying real guitarists can't play Guitar Hero.

not true. my friend play's the guitar like an incredible beast, and does the same thing on guitar hero. in fact, that's what he uses for songs to learn.
i'm the exact opposite.
