You know what the problem with expensive earbuds is? They don't do anything to improve the audio quality of the clip itself. With a poorly-compressed Youtube-quality audio clip, the only thing those earphones would add is an increased ability to hear compression artifacts. =P

And I don't understand how you can say Aqua's "holding back" if you're not criticizing Terra for the same thing. =/ He's restraining his voice so much that he sounds like a completely different person. But I guess that's not as important as something you can't hear without special earphones.




How many times do I have to say this:

Mark Hamill did not voice Luke in The Force Unleashed.

And I guess that's fair. I guess I'd just prefer some kind of more direct comparison than "he's good at changing his voice, so..."

Okay. If he didn't he didn't as pointed out by other sources I was wrong.

Does it sound somewhat close to his normal voice? Kind of. Does it mean it is? No. Simple as that.

i had sensitive ear phones. the really expensive kind, where you can hear things almost up to blu ray level (as if you were watching TV). i was able to hear alot of flaws on all the characters.

when she says "fire" it's on enthuisiastic, and when she attacks seconds before one of her battle screams end you can hear that she's holding back.

............wow. Are you really going to be noticing those things when you're just playing, though? Cause there's a difference between turning the sound up and listening for little errors in a video on purpose, and hearing background 'huh! yah!' when you're concentrating on actually playing it yourself. I seriously don't think it's a big deal.

The thing that will make or break the voice acting imo is the way they speak dialogue. If they go all stop-start and twist the melodies of their sentences to fit the mouth flaps, or speak flatly, that's what irritates me.



Like that. Stop start, stop start, no natural melodies...

And you can't tell if a VA is like that from friggen battle cries that sound like they're holding back seconds before they end or whatever.

Okay this whole "I have good headphones so I know what I'm talking about" thing is really retarded. If it requires you to have good headphones to notice flaws in a voice then it means there's nothing really wrong with the voice. If you were going to nitpick at EVERY SINGLE dialogue in EVERY SINGLE movie or game you can find flaws in any dialogue. It won't make a difference with someone with decent headphones to one with good headphones or one that has no headphones.

And you can't say "this is official" for 2 reasons:
1. You can't judge based on grunts. I don't care how good your headphones are, you can't tell if a voice actor is gonna suck or not, it just doesn't work like that.
2. It's all opinion based. Just because one person says it'll be terrible doesn't mean the other won't.

I for one think his voice is good. And if you're going to throw that whole retarded "good headphones" thing again then I can tell you I have a blu-ray player with surround sound that can play youtube videos, saw the clip on the TV with the surround sound on and I thought the voice was good.

The f**k? I really hopefully your trolling, and not being honest here. There is a diference between being a funny troll, and just plain being a complete jerk.

It's GRUNTS for gods sake. It doesn't matter if you have the best amplifier to those good earphones of yours to say that the VA's are bad, it's GRUNTS, not an entire monologue or an actual sentence, just BATTLE CRIES, and GRUNTS. For the love of god I remember how damn annoying people were with Jesse McCartney as Roxas at first then he finally talked all the way then people have made it a creed/coda/law that he's to voice him.

Literally I could have the best headphones on the planet, go listen to Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core, Kingdom Hearts 2, BlazBlue, Persona, or Tales of Vesperia and still come out, and say "That there good" based on not just stupid grunts, and battle cries, or that there none for having some of the best dubs, but from actually listening to a damn sentence watching a trailer that could take less than 5 minutes of your time, and give a full assessment to then. Not just put my headphones in listen to some youtube video, and say from a "Ha! Hiyah!" "Take That!" and say "This won't be good" and be blatant over it.

No it just proves that I can't read sarcasm, I can only hear it. People write stupid comments like that all the time and try to be serious so really I can never find out when someone's being sarcastic or not unless I hear them speak sarcastically. But whatever...

As Sky says just putting a typical "Sarcasm"could've easily stopped that mess from happening. Not all of us are that comical to consider some thing like that a joke until it becomes transparent.
