I don't care for Kairi, but I like her better than Xion. Kairi at least kind of stands as a symbol (for lack of a better word) and she could be easily improved. Xion is, in my mind, just a lame Mary Sue.

I would expect Xion to receive a title; she is an official member as far as we know. Sure, she's different, but then again, so was Roxas. But who knows what they'll do with her?

Iono, for a character that could be easily improved, they haven't done much with her over three games.
I prefer a plot device that seems to care about her friends as opposed to someone who even jokes about dumping one of her best childhood friends behind.

True, but Saix isn't the Superior, and Xemnas called her a member. Besides, I think the only reason for why Saix would say that was if she was a member or was being seriously considered as one. Otherwise, why bother complaining?
