Again no, don't expect Nomura and his team to start using elements from Tangled the Series as the show was developed by Disney Television Animation and not Walt Disney Animation Studios which developed the movie Tangled (regardless if a few of the people from the film are involved in the TV series).

On top of that, I just can't envision coming back to the world and having the visuals of the world switch to the style of the TV series over the original movie, plus the difficulties on creating the characters that were introduced in the show (e.g. Cassandra, Varian, etc..) in the CGI style of the movie which would be very difficult, cause most of the characters introduced in the Television series have never had CG models.

Frankly, I don't think that Kingdom of Corona, Monstropolis and San Fransokyo will ever return for the next KH games including KH4 wjen compares to Toy Box and Arendelle which seem to be the ONLY KH3 Disney worlds returning to KH4.

With Tangled the Series and Big Hero 6 the Series it's a different story, because the shows they were based on were from a Computer Generated Disney movie and the characters that were introduced in the show (Cassandra, Varian, Lance, Obake, Di Amara, Karmi, etc..) are 2D characters who haven't made appearances as CG characters, which makes it difficult to create CG versions of the characters in the show in the same style as the original films, cause again the shows were developed at Disney Television Animation (which made the Television shows of Tangled and Big Hero 6) not Walt Disney Animation Studios and I don't think the latter studio will have time to create CG Maquettes of the characters from the shows in the same CG as the films, plus Nomura and Square Enix rarely pay attention to Disney Television Animation as they only mostly close to Walt Disney Animation Studios and Walt Disney Studios which does the live-action films (Pirates of the Caribbean, Tron) and more recently Pixar Animation Studios.

Ok, after seeing the latest episode of Tangled, I can honestly say, without any shadow of a doubt, this seriously NEEDS to be the plot of Corona if it were to come back. The potential is just through the roof. Hopefully Nomura and the team are somewhat open to the idea of TV show plot lines in the future, cause man this would just work.

Now we’re throwing insults at each other by calling me “thin?” I'm trying to understand your side of this, but I do not see it, you keep repeating the same thing. Let me see if I can or can not break this down and see if I can understand along the way.

We have a end goal here, and that is turning Cassandra, Varian, etc, into 3D models. I keep reading it'll be difficult, but it would not be impossible. Sure they were not in the original film, but that does not mean they can be recreated in 3D. Disney has made toys of these characters in 3D, and while they are not of high quality...they still show a hint of what these characters could look like in 3D with somewhat a resemblance to the original style. They can turn those characters into 3D models with the same style as the film if they wanted to, that is what concept artists are for also, to help plan and design on that front. It will take creativity, but it can be done. After all, Disney turned the CGI characters into 2D for the show which, albeit may be easier, the other way around is still doable.

And on your last note, I feel Corona should come back since Rapunzel is a new Princess of Heart and as stated earlier by other users, the plot for the show easily works within the core values of Kingdom Hearts.

And if my cows came home that would be fantastic as I am low on my dairy products.

If worlds were to have 2 visits like in KH2, then this practically writes itself. SDG arrive and help Rapunzel and gang rescue the Queen and stop Varian, with a Automaton mini-boss and Varian being the final one. Along the way they get to know Cassandra, and maybe Sora pick up on some darkness in her heart.

Second visit, SDG return to find Cassandra consumed by darkness and Varian having been redeemed. Then of course defeat Cassandra, yada yada, Zhan Tiri somewhere in there (whole show needs to be done before I can truly imagine and refine this), but man the potential and messages are there. To show two of Rapunzel's friends falling to darkness and helping them see the light again, even more proving Rapunzel is a pure Princess of Heart. Oh man, it's too good.

Man, you are getting worked up over nothing. If you pardon me, a lot of your side of this is saying “I don’t think it will happen because I can’t imagine it.” Well that’s fine, but we’re talking about as a whole if it could work, and it can work if the work is put in.
Short and to the point, if Nomura, Square, Disney, whatever want to do it, it’ll happen, and it should. Studios and styles are insignificant to the overall picture here.

Nice catch both of you. I honestly forgot about some of this. Oh man, that means there could be a small small chance that this could in fact be worked in...maybe. I'm not going to go and get my hopes up too much, but the idea shows more merit, especially when in comparison to other Disney TV shows based off films, Tangled has LOADS of potential.

You're absolutely entitled to believe that it's unlikely that any elements from the Tangled tv show will make it into Kingdom Hearts, and it's certainly interesting to me and valid on your end to explain the reasoning behind your belief.

However, every point you've used as indisputable proof as to why Tangled tv elements can't appear in KH has been debunked by already existing precedence in the Kingdom Hearts series.

You could absolutely be right that we'll never see Tangled tv in KH, but even if so, you're already wrong about why.

I've still never seen the Tangled movie, and obviously also not the show, but KH3 certainly presented an interesting story for Tangled with some exciting characters to me, and I actually do now intend to get around to watching the movie at some point as a result.

If a bunch of people here say the tv show would be easily adaptable to KH, then I'll take you on good faith, and hope that we see a return of Corona. I'm certainly open to seeing more of Rapunzel and Flynn in KH. The environment was also exciting enough to me that I'd like to explore more angles of the kingdom. So, as long as there's a good story to tell that fits with the themes of KH, here's to hoping.

Trust me when I say, if you liked the world without having seen the movie, then mother of all that is great, you’re going to LOVE it if the show is incorporated into it. The new characters, locations, story is all so sublime. I enjoyed the movie a lot, but I absolutely adore this series. Highly recommend you give both a watch whenever you have the time!

This is exactly what I was going to say to Soaked_Pancakes. I actually like the series a great deal more than the movie. It really made me like Flynn, when he's mostly just a smart alek in the movie.

Absolutely agree there. Forgive me if I’m wrong, but I can’t think of another Disney TV series based off a film that continues to grow the characters established in the film, add new ones in, and just build off into something truly spectacular. (I haven’t seen the BH6 show, so that’s one on the bucket list.)

You know, the more I think about it as well, the more that I just feel that if Corona returns, it’ll follow this plot. It’s honestly written for KH!! To have friends fall to darkness, to be brought back to the light, realize their errors and be redeemed. That’s a theme that KH could easily cash in on

So, being the new member here, I'll post the worlds that I think should revisited, and what they offer:

*Hundred Acre Wood, but narratively reworked. BBS and KH3 made the cameos of Pooh and friends feel like a Disney mandated contractual obligation and nothing of real value was offered. I love seeing Pooh again, as his was one of my favorite series' growing up. I'll always have a very special place in my heart for that world and those characters and would to see Disney honor the property more strongly (they really haven't done anything particularly good with the property for like 15 years now). So because of that, the forced and very poor representation of Pooh in his last two KH appearances was kinda hurtful to me. I don't want to keep seeing him stuffed in there if Nomura can't conceive a story for him to teach Sora some kind of lesson. And maybe, since the dynamic of Sora and Pooh seems to have already gone as far as it possibly could, maybe it shouldn't be Sora who visits the 100 Acre Wood this time...

Pooh's world in KH exists solely as a magical book that's been written by someone else. Therefore, Pooh & co. aren't technically real, in-universe. And yet, through the power of heart, they live happy lives. What other major character could relate to this? Xion! Her very existence is a natural abnormality and has been "written" into existence through memories and data that have since grown into their own uncertain being. What if we have Xion stumble into the world of the 100 Acre Woods and she travels across the forest with Pooh, completing odd jobs with his friends to earn a sense of accomplishment in the self. Pooh senses that Xion doubts her purpose in the world and feels unbelonging. He reminds her that even without their own destined purpose, he and his friends live fulfilling lives by merely doing what their heart craves. Pooh always desires honey, and as such, he always procures some. Through Pooh, Xion learns to develop her own self interests and pursue them to an end.

Xion can also meet Christopher Robin as an adult citizen of Radiant Garden who is Pooh's "author," and insists to her that he wrote the story of Pooh to be infinite and endless, so that Pooh can go on his own adventures, much like she should.

*Neverland with Namine. Through some kind of chicanery, Peter Pan, Wendy, and the Lost Boys should be absent. Namine should be struggling with taking pride in herself, as she recognizes that at the behest of the likes of Marluxia and Ansem the Wise, she's committed regretful wrongdoings unto others, and hurt Sora, et al. She consistently degrades herself by identifying herself and her abilities as being witch-like (the term having ugly and villainous connotations in many Disney properties). After ending up in Neverland and befriending the sassy and magically-endowed fairy, Tinker Bell, Namine learns that the only one applying these negative labels to her now is herself, and she can relate to both the fear and persistence that Tinker Bell expresses while navigating a more fantastical iteration of Neverland. Namine discovers the idealistic beauty in Tinker Bell and decides to give herself a makeover to further relate to hero-identifying fairy. Tangled the Series would be a fantastic addition to Kingdom Hearts. While watching yesterday's one hour episode, I was desperate for this entire storyline to be included in a Kingdom Hearts game. I was even thinking "you know, I'd take less worlds if it meant longer and more meatier plotlines."

100% agree, the more I think about it, the more everything feels like it falls into place for it to make an appearance in the future.
Now that I am back on this KH hype train due to Nomura confirming two games, here are the 3 worlds I think would work out great in KH4.

Princess and the Frog - I have been clamoring for this world since the film's release in 2009. The aesthetic, characters, setting, and even music style would easily blend right into KH. Dr. Facilier alone is a villain that feels like he was made for KH at some point, with the way he works with the shadows, replace that with heartless and boom, done. A boss fight with him would be spectacular and the possibilities for such are endless. He could attack with his staff and throw cards for minimal damage, and summon a large heartless to fight alongside or use his voodoo magic to create hallucinations of himself or large projections of him. Here's hoping it does eventually make its way into a game, specifically a numbered title.

Incredibles - I would not be surprised if BH6 was to return but, if not, Incredibles would work just as well. The massive city would work to give a realistic setting in terms of a metropolitan area and the Parrs would all be magnificent party members. I can just imagine everyone going nuts on the field of battle taking out heartless using their unique abilities, with Sora even helping in with command abilities and whatnot. Syndrome would also be a wonderful villain and a boss would also be much loved. Flying around using his anti-gravity laser and throwing the heroes around like ragdolls would be one potential attack, maybe even summoning an Omnidroid every now and then. I won't be too upset if it does not appear, but it's a world I think would work and is requested regularly.

Tangled: The Series - After much thought and imagination, I can honestly say without any doubt that this would be a wonderful continuation of the Kingdom of Corona world, and add even more locations, development, and boss fights. It would even allow the team to reuse Rapunzel as a party member now that her hair is back. Spoilers for show (just to be safe):

Varian and Cassandra both would make for some absolutely SUPERB fights, mainly Cassandra. Varian would just stay in his giant mech he created and probably work somewhere similar to how Marshmallow worked somewhat. Reaction command would be help Rapunzel control the rocks to stun him and then slash away at his mech. Cassandra...oh man Cassandra. Her basic attacks could be her sword, with her controlling the rocks to hinder Sora and maybe add some parkour to reach her in her throne room. Reaction command could be Rapunzel using her new sundrop abilities to destroy all rocks and stun Cassandra. They could go completely nuts with her if they wanted to, and they should. Considering Zhan Tiri is now free, she would make for the final boss for the world, bus Cass would be an epic mid-boss at the very least.

As of this moment the whole show has not aired, so I don't know how much of my thoughts will change, but as of this moment, this just seems right.

1) The new Pixar film, Onward looks like a fantastic fit for a world in terms of exploration, magic and a new look for Sora and the gang. Check out the trailer if you haven't seen it:

2) Toy Story 4. Mainly because its theme of "growing up and moving on" could be appropriate to the upcoming battle between Sora and the Foretellers (Past vs. the Future) in KH4. The carnival would be a terrific open world for Sora to team with Woody and Bo Peep.

3) Pocahontas! Surprised this Disney animated classic hasn't been included in any games yet. Avoiding the cultural and historical sensitivity from the film with a Heartless subplot, I think the setting is beautiful and Pocahontas could be a magic-adept party member.
