Ive found that many people are disturbed with the fact that Sora and Riku are close friends and saying that they are gay. What i dont get is why it matters so much. Many people are homo/bisexual and we dont even notice, so why when the possibility appears in a video game do people go nuts about it? Does it really matter wether Sora and Riku like guys or girls?

I guess most people are just curious. I won't condemn them for anything or whatever, but if certain games leave certain character's sexual orientation ambiguous, than ppl are just going to want to know for sure. I don't see anything wrong in just wanting to know...

Well, it might be. I guess it depends on who's playing. Maybe some ppl will see Sora and Riku and think they're gay, and they'll say "wth, I thought Sora loved Kairi?". Then, it could change their perspectives on that. "If Sora showed feelings for Kairi before, why is he gay then?"

Of course, I find rather silly that ppl would think this in the first place.

thank you, i think that if the game is going to have any romance of any kind that the orientations should be made clear, but since KH really hasnt had any romance in it yet, i dont really see why it is so important. plus we dont know enough about the characters to know what all they did when they where younger and how they really feel about eachother

Yes, that's true. They're romantic sides are only implied throughout the game. We don't have any concrete proof to judge yet.

Plus, they're only like, 15.

To me, it would change so much about the game because I'm SoraxKairi all the way and I'd be like "WTF!" If Sora turned out to be gay, It would upset me so much I might just quit playing (I'm a sucker for the romance, it reminds me of what never happens in reality lol :p)

mayb people r just tryin' 2 see how much fun they can get out of it. There was one pic i came across on photobucket wit Riku as the Mad Hatter and Sora as Alice, I think it's cute. The pic, not the coupling.

Um, it doesn't matter. some people are dumb. Clearly, relationships have absolutely nothing to do with the game.

I really don't see how this is important. If Sora and Riku were gay, I don't think it would affect the storyline. Okay maybe a few people would be like "WTF? Sora + KAIRI FTW" but that would be in their head. Not flaming anyone. Sora and Riku probably weren't designed to be gay, because so far it hasn't actually been confirmed, and that just wouldn't make any difference in the story. Unless KH is going through HUGE changes.....(add spooky music)

While homo-ess isn't a bad thing, it's still controversial and a bit iffy with alot of people.
When we see a boy and and girl together as childhood friends, people would say things like "aww, they are gonna grow up and get married etc. etc." when you see two boys or two girls as friends, people think "they're just friends"
Nowadays, it's changing a bit. We can now see two boys as childhood friends that may grow up and get married too or something...

This freaks alot of people out. They don't want to see this possibility, and any hints toward it you get a "THEY ARE JUST FRIENDS! GAWD!" It's funny cause it sounds like they are in denial.

Go watch One Stormy Night. People say the same thing about that like they do with Riku and Sora stuff. *draws Sora as a goat* (That movie made bleed from the adorable, borderline gay-ness )

15 is the age of hormones isn't it? Kids start to get questionable about sexuality, want to explore, curiosity, then not wanting to tell others and fear of un-acceptance~Har har. I remember I went through that crap around that age. (Cept it wasn't much of a problem for me) I blame Sailor Moon and Devil Hunter Yoko.

I love subjects like these that get people all flustered. I swear I was born half troll...

Of course, Sora and Riku were originally designed to be gay. But Disney weren't too impressed with that idea so Kairi was created.

No they were not. Stop telling that lie. It was originally supposed to be Mickey, Donald, and Goofy, but Disney told Square no. So they made the trio. Wherever you get that info, tell them they're liars.
