By the way, Gerard, YES, I can blame you, because you wrote the lemonade in the first place and you publicly announced its existence and you offered to send it to us.

Asuka is just a weak-kneed dumb-blond-with-brunette-hair who doesn't know what to do with her insecurities, so she dumps them on Gerard and then screws him as another way to unload her emotional baggage. *takes deep breath* I don't want to kill her though. No, that would be too nice. But I think a better way to punish her would be to make her sit on top of a pile of broken glass for two weeks and have nothing to drink but kava. EVERY SINGLE DAY! AND IF SHE DOESN'T SMILE WHILE SHE DRINKS, SHE HAS TO DRINK MORE!!!!
And for Gerard....
Do the same thing. But instead of broken glass, we dress him up in a purple fairy princess costume and hang him in a closet. And take pictures. And THEN make him drink kava.
Don't worry, C_U. If the kava's strong enough, your tongue numbs. MUAHAHAHA!

ANYWAY. I guess there are painful side-effects to everything, TOHF. The people get to see my awesome attitude at work, but you have to hang around to see it. So they have to look at your ugly virtual face.

Kava is the nastiest thing you could ever have the misfortune to drink. And it just so happens, my consumption of it was mandatory! In Fiji, we had to go to about five welcoming, or kava, ceremonies. Drinking kava was part of the ceremony. We couldn't not drink it. You know, the whole "ambassadorial" thing. Gotta drink it, and ya can't throw up afterwards. >_> It looks like grey pond-water, and it tastes ... I can't even describe it. It's made from a pepper plant. WHOSE IDEA WAS THAT?!
And if you don't smile while drinking it, you have to have more, until you smile. ._o At the cultural center, it was so strong, it numbed my tongue and left a bad taste in my mouth for nigh on two hours. ((This was when I thought up The Red Knight. WEIRD!))
Oh, and, KY, I think I remember something about kava being a non-alcaholic ... alcohal. Something like that. Like it'll get you drunk or whatever, without the alcohal. I'm not sure.

The Last Chapter: Promise (Matchbook Romance)
Gerard hugged Asuka one last time. She cried on his shoulder and Gerard smiled back at her. He held his luggage in his fists. Some souveneirs from the trip and the cane Asuka gave him before. Tatsuki sat on the docking bay ramp as he watched Gerard run up the ramp. She hummed a tune softly and stood up. "Welcome back Gerard," Tatsuki smiled as she hugged him.
"It's nice to be back," Gerard smiled. He looked back at Asuka and blew a kiss to her with a wink. Asuka giggled. Gerard continued into the ship and was welcomed by several crew members. He stood in front of the door to his room.
"H-hi!" Marielle said timidly. Gerard turned and smiled at her.
"Hi Marielle. I missed you,"
"I missed you too. Umm... I kept your room the way it was before,"
"Thanks! But it wasn't necessary,"
"I sorta...Wanted to,"
"Aww... Thanks anyway," Gerard said. He hugged Marielle and picked up his bags. Marielle continued down the hallway. Gerard jumped onto his bed and looked out his window. The queen and the triplets were waving to him. Gerard smiled and waved back.
Gerard fell back on his bed and took a deep breath. Finally. I'm going home he thought happily. He kicked his shoes off and put his hands behind his head. He got the chance to relax. He ended up relaxing himself to sleep.
The ship started on it's way and broke orbit to get into space. As it zoomed through the mighty vaccuum of the unexplored, Gerard slept peacefully, with dreams of home and the one he loves.
Slowly, Gerard began to awaken. His eyes droopy, he fell off his bed and stood up. He got up and his closet burst open. He was suddenly trampled by a wave of females. Asuka and the triplets had landed on top of him. Gerard struggled to get up. "WHAT'S GOING ON?!" He yelled confused.
The triplets got off. Asuka rolled off as well and landed on the floor. Gerard helped Asuka up and they sat on the bed. Asuka curled up and Gerard stretched out next to her. "What's happening?" Gerard asked.
"Well... I'm coming with you,"
"Why?"
"Well, I just want to. I know you have Rikku, don't worry. The place you live is so beautiful,"
"It is. In the morning, the smell of the crisp ocean air enters your body. It feels like breathing in life. The sun shines brightly on your face. The wind blows gently towards you. It feels like a hug. The trees dance as you walk by, as if they were dancing to the beat of your feet walking on the pavement. And she's there,"
"Rikku?"
"Yeah..."
The ship started slowing down. Tatsuki called over the speakers. "Gerard, you're home." Gerard was overjoyed. He ran to the door, but looked at Asuka. She was smiling, but Gerard felt a little weird. He held his hand out and Asuka stood up and held it. The two ran out of the docking bay and stood on the shores of Besaid Island. "Home," Gerard said quietly.
"AH HAH!" a familiar voice yelled. Gerard was caught in a net from the head down to his waist.
"Looks like we got him, boss," Sora said standing in front of Gerard.
"Yep! Our first ghost!" Myra said happily. "C'mon Kaze!" Myra said as she pulled the leash that held Kaze by the neck. Krojee, Taylor, Aozora, and Piku knocked him down and tied Gerard up.
"Take that ghost!" Piku said happily.
"I'm not a ghost damnit!" Gerard yelled. Asuka giggled at the group.
"Who are you? ARE YOU HIS HOMEWRECKING, KAVA DRINKING, MUFFIN-STUFFING, PASTRY-FILLING, PENGUIN-SUCKING, UGLY, DISGUSTING, HOMEWRECKING AGAIN, HOMEWRECKING, HOMEWRECKING, STUPID, CHEESEY, UGLY, USING, ROBOTIC HAIRY MAN-BEAST GHOST GIRLFRIEND? YOU CAN'T BE! THERE'S A GIRL CRYING EVERYDAY BECAUSE THIS GHOST HAUNTS HER!" Piku yelled. Asuka pinched her cheeks.
"It's cute how you get so angry at someone you don't know," Asuka smiled. Piku blew up.
"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING! NO PINCY THE CHEEKY!" Piku yelled. She jumped on her and started pulling her hair. Sora untied Gerard.
"Is it really you Gerard?" Sora asked.
"Well, you can't capture ghosts with nets can you?" Gerard smiled. They gave each other a high five and Kaze gave him one too. "Have you guys been taking care of Rikku?"
"Well, here's a recap of the past year,"
"I've been gone for a year?!" Gerard asked.
"Oh yeah. A very long one. You see, when you left, Rikku broke down. They sent a search party for the fugitive, you, but no trace could be found. Then Gippal and Rikku started dating again. We tried our best, but they just kept going out. Piku was the leader of our operations," Sora explained pointing at Piku who was wrestling with Asuka. Piku threw a punch at Asuka's face.
"OH NO YOU DI'INT!" Asuka yelled. The triplets ran down the docking bay and started helping Asuka, but Piku kept up the four of them.
"Anyway," Kaze said, "We tried to stop Gippal from proposing to Rikku, but we couldn't. The two were going to get married. Then the High Summoner threw you a funeral. There, Rikku announced her love for you and declined Gippal a marriage. He was sure steamed. Anywho, yeah. She's a bit dull these days. Not the bright eyes you remembered."
"Oh really," Gerard smiled.
Over the horizon, a scarf blown in the wind. It hung around the neck of the most beautiful person that Gerard had ever seen. Gerard ran to Rikku. Rikku ran to Gerard. She jumped into his arms and cried. Gerard wrapped his arms around her and the two kissed. "It really is you," Rikku cried softly.
"Of course," Gerard said.
