To have initially embraced that darkness Terra would have had to turn his back on light. If his heart does become hollow it might explain Terra’s lost of memories seeing how memories primarily lie in one’s heart. Despite having a hollowed heart, like Riku, Terra may have survived. If so he may have ended up in Radiant Garden. However like I stated before, his heart would be weak and hollow and void of memories.

Maleficent: Who else? Your heart is steeped in darkness. You can only see people who exist in that same darkness – people like me.

Lingering Sentiment is not ‘canon’ himself but his words do hold meaning. Like with Riku, Terra’s heart only recognized those in his memories who were steeped in darkness. Remnants of Terra’s memory of Master Xehanort were all that was left in his heart, or at least all he could remember being in the hollowed state he was in. His hate for Master Xehanort was engraved in his heart. It was all he had left.
Marluxia: You cannot win as long as she is in my hands. Naminé... Erase Sora's
memory!
Naminé: But...if I do that...
Marluxia: Yes. If you uproot the memories you planted...then Sora's heart will
collapse and all his memories will be torn asunder.
Goofy: Sora's heart...
Donald: Collapse?!
Marluxia: I'd prefer the Keyblade master unmarred...but even a riven heart can
be rebuilt with time. Sora will yet be my slave. Do it, Naminé!
Obliterate his memory!
But Marluxia says that "even a riven heart can be rebuilt with time." "Riven" meaning "collapsed." Marluxia didn't want to destroy Sora's heart to any extent- he just wanted to destroy the memories, which, as we see, is the definition of a collapsed heart. And a collapsed heart does not leave the owner.Well Marluxia wanted to have Sora's heart 'destroyed'
to the extent where he would be able to rebuild it to
the way he desired, Marluxia wouldn't want to completely
destroy Sora's heart. Not to mention even if Sora's
memories had been unchained, Sora would still retain
the light and darkness in his heart, meaning that though
his memory was hollow, his heart would not be hollow.
Darkness consumes everything though. It has consumed Disney villains, for instance, who lack the light you say would be the one thing to attract the darkness.Darkness spread rapidly to consume light,
the kind of light that a hollowed heart would
also have very little of. What I'm saying is
that a hollowed would have too little of both
light and dark to exist as anything more than
a heart.
Even if a "hollow" heart could exist for one instance, I can't see how anything would stop darkness from invading it. The heart is right there for it to engulf.
