He took Fay and ran with the others towards the exit of the temple. "Sorry Fay, darling, but we have to go, and orders are orders. I am responsible for the brunt of you and I will NOT let anything happen. " He still continued to carry the creature that was Meilin in his arms as he went back past the dome that housed Rose.

"Okay, you can come out now."

The dome faded, and Zeke lurched for a second. He still had to excercise his powers in order to gain control of them fully, and be able to use more of them. With that, he headed out the exit, only hoping that Rick and Ryan would be okay...

He sat Fay down on the grass outside the temple and the others as well, as he looked back at the temple. "Come on guys.."

From the thickets around the temple several shapes detached themselves and moved in on Zeke and the others. Within seconds the group of fourteen camoflaged men had encircled the young gods as they watched the pitched battle in the skies above them.

Before any of them could react the cold steel of gun barrels was pressed into the neck with authority. "Do not attempt escape. We are aware of your abilities, and have taken due caution. There are armor piercing rounds, my friend. Be calm and do not struggle," said the man holding Zeke. He spoke in an accent, but his english was perfect.

Zeke, Meilin, Fay, Strife, and Rose were quickly bound, forced to their knees, but strangely enough allowed to watch the battle. The men tensed as Ryan flew overhead on his chariot followed closely by Python, but neither combatant took notice of what occured beneath them.

A deep rubble ran through the island as Python fell from the sky, smashing into the temple with a brutal finality. As Python's immense corpse slid from the temple into the ocean Ryan was thrown into the open air and fell into the the Mediterranean sea.

The man keeping watch over Zeke raised a mobile phone to his mouth. "Odele, tell Kahndaq to retrieve the boy, meet at watch point Theta," he said calmly. Without waiting for a reply the man who was obviously incharge slid the phone back into his robes. "You keep your friends in order and no harm will come to any of you. My name is Gabriel, I have many questions for you, and mark my words you will give me my answers. A helicopter will arrive in two minutes. Your friend will be aboard waiting for you."

Grabbing into Zeke's bound wrists Gabriel walked him over to a clear area and forced him to his knees along with the others. Only a minute passed before the steady 'thump thump' of a helicopter's rotors could be heard. Thirty seconds later Zeke and the others were load unceremoniously into the back of a very ancient looking Chinook helicopter. A soaking wet Ryan laid across two seats and with young greek woman looking after him. Gabriel along with two others climbed into the chinook behind them. Gabriel climbed into the cockpit and strapped himself in. A quick nod to the pilot and they were off, leaving Rick buried under the ruins of the temple.

Rose struggled against the rough hands that tied her arms tightly behind her back. Her eyes moved towards the remains of the temple where Rick lay burried somewhere. This was not how Rick died, she knew this for sure having seen a glimpse of his future, but even so they couldn't leave him alone. He was to meet a worse fate further down the line after a time in which the others were not present with him. The man behind her pushed down on her shoulders with great strength, causing for her legs to buckle underneath her. Trying to go against his wants she tried to stand up but he shoved her head down.

"You don't understand we can't leave him here!" She turned her head towards the sky as the sound of the helicopter's propellers filled the air. As it landed near the group the men hauled each of them to their feet. This was her only chance to try to find Rick, breaking free of the man's grip she started to run towardsthe ruins. THough she knew it would only be a futile effort she had to try to get to him, he couldn't face his future alone. Her guardian quickly caught up with her though and caught her by the hair. Dragging her back towards the helicopter he shoved her back in with the others. After a moment of struggle she managed to position herself with her back against the door as she gazed at the others for a moment. "I'm sorry I brought you here. . . "

Rose said nothing after take off, her eyes not leaving the ground in front of her. Fear ran through her as she wondered who exactly these people were and their intentions for her new companions. A cold room, her arms bound behind her as she sat quietly in a chair. Wires ran from her temples, attaching to the machines that lined the walls of the room. Her eyes closed for a moment as she tried to remove the thoughts from her mind. She had left the lab for a reason, she had promised herself she would never return to a place like that again.

The helicopter gave a sudden jerk, causing Rose to topple to her side, as it came down upon the ground. Looking to the others she heard the clank of the door and tried to move away from it as it opened. A man grabbed her firmly by the shoulders forcing her out and onto her feet as others did to everyone else. Looking up at the sky she noticed it was still daylight though night was approaching quickly. "Where are we going?" She snarled as they all began to be led through a series of alleyways. No response came until they reached a staircase along the side of a building.

"Our place. . . you should learn to not ask questions when luck is not to your benefit." The man Gabriel had responded as they reached the end of the staircase. "It is a temple if you must know. One just as ancient or possibly older than the one we just left."

Entering a large room she saw torches lining the walls providing the light within the dark room. The stone was of a dark brown, a completely different feel than the blue grey of the temple on the island of Delphi. This was not a place in which one would want to be, one could tell from the sight of it all. "May we all get out of this with our lives. . . " She wispered to herself.

Zeke just stayed quiet the whole time. He was fuming on the inside, and he was afraid, that if he opened his mouth, he might get them all killed from being angry and a smartass. It was his fault though! His fault they were in trouble! His fault they got captured! The angered welled inside of him. He just stared at the floor in heated silence.

As they landed, and they were all forced out, he stopped for a moment as he turned to face Gabriel. A look was in his eyes, a look like no one had ever experienced before, because it wasn't the normal Zeke. It was the angry, god empowered, Zeke. He just said, one thing, the whole time.

"If you harm us, not even the Gods will watch over you. We are the Gods, and if you harm any of us, in that millisecond that you do, I will use every ounce of energy within me to destroy this whole damn place. If you think I am kidding, try me. " He was being dead serious, too. He had no idea why, but he was.

Fay could feel energy swirling inside her, power rushing through her veins, feeding her fury that was threatening to take over. But she checked herself. One wrong move, and her friends could be die....

She felt as though she had let them all down. Something, there had to have been something she could have done. Eyes burning, she glared at the guards, feeling her fists clench in their rough bounds.

"And make no mistake in thinking that I won't help Zeke as well," she snarled at them. "I will make sure you pay, now and ever afterwards."

Strife's head turned from the ruins of the temple to do helicopter. His anger flushed through his vains as he glared anxiously at Gabriel. He tried to restrain from lunging himself towards Gabriel as he listened distinctively to the threats Fay and Zeke had made. At that moment, an idea sprang into his mind, as he slowly sat up. Blinking twice, Strife's facial expression turned blank as a mischievous grin formed onto his face.

Inside the temple Gabriel along with twenty other armed men in various uniforms or even plain street cloths escorted the godlings to a small stone room. Seven chairs sat waiting in the otherwise bare room. At a nod from Gabriel the escorts sat down each of the young gods and bound their hands to the chairs. Once the guards were finished they took a step back placing their backs against the cold stone wall and aiming their automatic weapons at the prisoners.

Moving a chair for himself Gabriel took a seat infront of all of them. He sat there for several long minutes thinking how to approach these...Children, for lack of a better word. The most direct route would probably be the best, if they truly were the reincarnations of the Sanctus it would be an insult to play games with them.

"Why did you disturb the temple at Delphi? At this very moment events are now set in motion that could destroy this country, my people, my wife and two daughters. All because you destroyed the temple and slain Python the great protector. Not to mention the stupidity of awakening the oracle, an event I have personally spent my entire life trying to prevent. I am told that you have inherited six of the spirits of the Sanctus, I would think that gives you the wisdom to understand what you have done, but from the hosility you have expressed and the destruction of the holy temple all I can think of you is adolescent morons," Gabriel said in disgust. "What can any of you say for yourselves that would stay my hand in killing you?"

I will tell no one.
Ryan had woken to the sound of a helicopter with a throbbing headache and a beautiful young woman bending over him. His first thought had been Am I in Heaven? but upon noticing his friends - all except Rick - sitting close to him. All of them seemed to have been bound and captured, which didn't bode well for him.
You have... impressed me, Ryan. Apollo's voice suddenly drowned out all other sounds. The God was dragging him back into his own mind so they could have a conversation. Most likely, his physical body would look unconscious while this was happening. That was just as well. The longer he had that beautiful young woman over him, the better.
I just did what I had to do. Ryan would have shrugged his shoulders if he had any inside his own head. This wasn't right. After a fight like that, Ryan would have bragged about it until they nailed shut his coffin. He had a feeling that beating that Python beast hadn't been such a great achievement after all.

Don't you dare think that! Apollo snapped. You have done something that only a God has done before you, with less than the powers of a God! This should be a moment of celebration! That was puzzling. I... I thought you said I had your powers now. That I had the powers of a God... Had Apollo lied to him? You would have, Apollo leaned heavily on the word 'would', but you did not want to combine both of us into another being. If we did that, you would have the true powers of a God. That is why I am so impressed. You defeated a monster powerful enough to kill a God, without the true powers of a God. I will admit that when my... my beautiful Swans... when they fell, I began to have my doubts, but then you jumped off the chariot and grabbed onto the Python itself! I have rarely seen such bravery!

Ryan knew what he had done was quite an achievement, but he didn't think it was all that big of a deal... after all, there would be worse to come. There had to be.
"Why did you disturb the temple at Delphi?" Ryan immediately snapped out of his trance-like state to rejoin the living, only to find that he had been strapped to a chair next to his friends and was being forced to face some nutcase staring at them all individually. Listening to the mans sob story, Ryan couldn't help but feel confused. Hadn't they beaten the big, bad monster? Actually, scratch that. Hadn't he beaten the big, bad monster? Why te hell were they being punished for this?
"If ye wouldn't mind," Ryan began, "could ye tell us what tha hell it is we've done?"

Meilin, who still remained a small white fox, growled and bit at her bindings. She didn't really enjoy being hogtied like some common dog. She was a god, dammit!

She stopped for a moment and blinked. God? She never considered herself a god.... And come to think of it, she hadn't heard that annoying voice in the back of her head for a while either.

She winced, sharp teeth gleaming. First things first, she wanted OUT of these ropes so she could be human again!

She growled at their captors. They obviously wern't stupid, but they didn't look like Loki's goons either. ZEKE! Hey Zeke! Tell them to let me out of here, I have a few well-minded words I'd like to say to these fools!

Miles away at the now ruined temple of Delphi something began to stir deep beneath the remains of the temple. Bits of rock began to fall rolling away knocking loose more wreckage until a small rock slide started. The rock slide last momentum and the rubbling stopped. Silence fell on the ruins once more.

Stone exploded outward in a cloud of dust as a tore and bloody human hand tore through the fallen temple into open air. Rick's head and shoulder followed as he pulled his right arm free, lifting several tons of stone as he did.

Using his arms to push off with he swung his legs free and rolled onto his kness and elbows panting with fatigue. Dust, blood, and sweat were caked over his entire body along with the remanants of his clothes. Rising to his feet Rick looked around for the others, stars appeared before his eyes and he fell back to his knees from dizyness.

"Zeke..." he tried to shout, but his voice came out in a horse whisper. Clearing his throat sent Rick into a fit of coughs. Dry heaves began to rack his body until he coughed up a large amount of stone dust and blood. "Strife, Meilin!"

He began shouting the second breath returned to his lungs. "Fay! Rose!"
Anger and frustration began kick in as he stumbled in vain search for his friends. "WHERE IS EVERYONE?!"

"Dear brother, so easily brought to frustration. That does not help your friends," said a smooth mocking voice.

Rick knew without turning to look who had spoken. Summoning Mjonir to his hand and spinning around with surprising speed, considering how he'd stumbled about seconds before, he raised the hammer high preparing to strike.

"Stay your hand, impetuous fool. I am here to treat with you, not to defeat a weakened opponent," Loki said in a neutral tone. He spread his hands palm outward in a gesture of peace.

Rick held his position ready to strike with all the strength he had left. Blood still poured down open wounds in his back, and the sweat running down his body made the burns from Python tingle. He ignored all of it focused only of the bastard god before him. "Where are they, Loki? What did you do to them?"

A cunning smile spread over Loki's handsome face. The trickster steepled his fingers in a thoughtful manner. "It feels better than I thought to have something over you, brother. But that is not important," Loki said in a sly voice. "Your friends are safe for the moment, but that can change quickly."

Rick gripped Mjonir tighter his knuckles going white. Lightning began to crackle along his pupils and anger brewed deep within him. "You're a son of a bitch! What do you want from me?"

Loki shook with barely contained glee. Laughter resounded over the forested hills of Delphi. After a few seconds Loki contained himself and shook his head mockingly at Rick."The most wonderful aspect of that question, is that you would give me anything I wanted at this moment. You can barely stand, every moment you maintain that threatening facade taxes your strength, and all you can think about is preserving their lives. If it means so much to you, journey to London. The Sotech's production labs is where I will be waiting. Until then, brother."

Loki faded away as he burst into laughter once more. Rick gritted his teeth in anger.

"God damn it!"

His voice changed with these words. Each word was laced with the roar of thunder and carried such power that the island shook. Rick swung Mjonir into the earth, delivering a blow so powerful that what remained of the temple collasped. Falling to his knees Rick began to cry silently. Tears ran down his cheeks adding to the grime already covering his face. Cupping his face with both hands Rick let out a low sorrowful moan.

After a few minutes Rick wiped his face with the back of his hands and let out a long sigh. Rising to his feet he began the long journey to London, all the while saying a few short words to himself.

Wait for me, guys, I'm coming

Strife continued to stay quiet as his mind was focused on another matter. As he sat handcuffed onto his seat, his concentration on Gabriel was very little.

Come on..god..person..thing..

Strife's body felt weak, yet strong at the same time. Kinda like the feeling you get from drinking too much coffee.

Where the fu-..heck..are you??

He just slowly watched as he looked over to Meilin and blinked. "Dude, why do you have our dog chained up? It's not like she's gonna bite you. You guys are way too paranoid. As for why you shouldn't kill us. Think of it like this. My family would basically come looking for me, and seeing me missing on the news, well I will put it this way. "

He sat back as he looked at Gabriel. "Right now, I have a satellite locked in on my position, I hacked it to do so. If this satellite loses my position, life signs, what have you, then it sets off an alarm. It instantly pinpoints my last location and sends the nearset US and United Nation Forces to come looking for me. When they find a dead body, persay, then all hell will break lose. Not only that, but, just by being in the same room with me, it already has all of your Identifications. "

He shrugged. Whether he was bluffing or telling the truth was hard to discern. Zeke was reknowned as one of the best Hacker/Crackers in the world, and for his age, it made him that much more deadly. "Choice is yours. "

OOC: nice one.

IC: Meilin growled at Zeke. DOG!? If I wasn't chained up, you would be cathing hell right now you smooth-tounged jerk!

She sighed inwardly. Oh well. Zeke called her a pet, may as well try and act the part. She acted as though she'd hurt her paw struggling, and whined pitiously. She tried to move her snout closer to Zeke. "Kyuu....."

Gabriel stared at the small two tailed dog. It was a lovely animal, like none he had ever seen. But two tails was a clear indicator of divinity. The beast was either a familiar or a godling in disguise. Cruelty was not his way though, he motioned to one of his guards.

"Bring some wine for them and whatever is in the crockery for them to eat. A pitcher of milk and a saucer for their lovely 'pet,' and be quick," Gabriel said.

Turning to face Zeke and the others Gabriel motioned for them to be untied. Sliding one shoulder free of his camoflaged armor he pulled the grey under shirt up to reveal a tatoo across his left pectoral.

Hecate_symbol.jpg

"This is the symbol of the Followers of Sanctus. The word sanctus is loosely translated into english as righteous. The goods that used their power in protection of the all innocent beings were given this name by the goddess Hectate. She was one of their foremost gods amoung the Sanctus and offered much of her wisdom to man. It was she that founded the followers, bringing together the brightest men and women of the age and endowing them with the knowledge of how to protect the world in the absence of the gods."

Gabriel's eyes were filled with emotion as he spoke. His belief in the Santus had been steadfast for thirty one years, and today was quite possibly the cumilation of all that he had devoted himself too. "Do any of you remember this symbol?"

Meilin, barely controlling the urge to bite this mans ankle as hard as she could, glanced up at the marking in shock and mewed pitifully, hiding behind Zeke's legs and licking her paws where the bindings cut into them. I don't like this..... That symbol's disturbing.

As Rose's eyes set on the man's tattoo images began to flash through her head as she shut her eyes trying to block them out. Images of a council of God. . . men and women standing before one of them each bearing the symbol upon their arms. Their deeds throughout the centuries flashed through her head, not deeds of harm or destruction. As she opened her eyes she nodded slightly to Gabriel’s question.

“I know of the symbol. . . I think I have seen it before today.” Not in person though, only in my mind. It would be impossible for me to have seen the symbol, I haven’t been alive for that long. "I can not say where though for that bit of information is a mystery to me, but you are a peaceful organization are you not? You fight to keep the balance here on earth, for the will of the God's who can have no influence on much that happens. We awakened no oracle while at the temple having found no one but ourselves within its walls. It would do you no good and do injustice to the name of your people to kill us now. The loss of the temple is terrible but was inevitable. The course that was taken and set in stone for all of us can not be changed. . . "

Rose knew this above most things. Her visions had showed her how much of your life was a determined path in which you would follow. All choices would be made on your accord, but all would lead you down the path that was set for you. Some visions had shown her that no mater how hard you may try, you could do nothing to stop the fate in which someone would reach. I don't understand why I have had those visions today though. I can't even remember the last time in which they had occurred. Hope that they had left me for good had replaced them, but I guess that power still lies within me.

Fay looked at the symbol through Nyx's eyes, seeing through the years to open distant memories.

"Well do I know that sign," she said quietly. "Hekate and I, though we differed greatly, share the same knowledge of the secrets darkness harbours." she lowered her head, sighing quietly. "She is right. The strand of Fate is woven in an unbreakable bond, far before time began. What happened was meant to be, and we can only accept. That is the way mortals were meant to live, as the higher powers created. But we share this in common still."

Gabriel smiled inspite of himself. They did indeed possess the wisdom of the gods, if only in some small ways. Though it would not do to have them walking in ignorance of themselves. His smile slowly left his face as he cupped the young girl Rose's chin. "My dear you are the Oracle of Delphi," he said in a low voice. His eyes burned into hers in his effort to impart the truth of his words to her. "Do you not realize that it is you who posesses a sight great than even mighty Apollo? You've seen things child, I know you have. It is in those beautiful eyes, a pain buried away and almost forgotten. But you can not surpress what is inside you any longer. Ignorance will lead to the death of us all. Even now the Black Council is aware of your awakening. They will scorch the Earth itself to lay their hands upon you. With your power in their grasp, not even the Sanctus could resist them."

Gently releasing her chin Gabriel motioned to his guards. Loweing their weapons the guards left the room without a word. Turning his back on the others Gabriel picked up the small white fox and gently scratched her ears. "Follow me please. I've heard enough from all of you. The decision has been made to prepare a small mealfor you. You will come to my home. There you may clean yourselves and take rest, but I can not have you here for long. You have your duties and I have mine," he said in a cold tone and with that he turned and motioned for them to follow him.

Meanwhile Rick sat in the baggage car of a train bound for London, England. It hadn't taken long to find a train headed London, but getting aboard was another story. His clothes were gone along with his wallet, not that he would know what to do with American money in Europe. It came down to sneaking aboard, which was actually easier than he'd thought it would be. Clothes lay strewn all over the floor of the baggage. Rick hadn't found much that fit him, a pair of pant, two t-shirts, and a pair of boots one size too small. He'd jammed his feet in them anyway ignoring the throbbing pains of protest his feet gave him.

Waiting for the train to make it to London was more difficult the anything else he'd done since all this began. With no watch to keep track of time with the minutes seemed to stretch on for hours and the hours seemed to move into eternity. After the first two hours Rick slipped into an uneasy sleep, the faces of his friends flashed through his mind and silent tears ran down his cheeks.

He blinked. That symbol, it held some meaning to him, but for now, he decided to keep it to himself. He just followed as he was released. He smirked up to the fox and winked at her when Gabriel wasn't looking. He managed to send her a message telepathically.

~Tell ya what sexy, I will make it up to you with a date, or money, or something, alright?~

He listened to the man, and each tone in his voice. It was as if he feared for their protection, but at the same time, was angry at them. Such mixed emotions would lead to many a mistake. However, for now, he decided it would be wisest to play along...

Meilin growled. You know dam well I don't need money. She grumbled. I'll get you for this later, you sweet-talking, overly-tall..... she seriously was glad no one else oculd hear her right now. More glad that she had fur, since she was finding out first hand just how deeply a fox could blush.
