How can you not like Brian?

Brian, Stewie, and Lois are the only funny ones of the show.

Meg, Chris, and Peter are just the butt of every joke.

ie

"ma'am, you're not allowed to park your minivan on the diving board"
Quagmire's another good one.
Everyone else is the butt of every joke, though.
Meg especially.

Yes, but because South Park had been stale for so long, it's now matured like fine wine.

we'll see in the fall if the episodes are as shitty as they were after episode 1 of the season

I haven't watched much of either, but South Park got stale fast.

I'm going to have to say Family Guy, mostly due to Stewie and Brian.

I prefered Stewie as a homicidal, yet always humorously failing baby, rather than a tiny bumbling homorsexual.

yup, Stewie stopped trying to kill Lois
and became a flat out homosexual.

I like both honestly, there jokes are here and
there, and when it comes to watching most shows
on T.V i find myself trying to catch a good Family
Guy, or South Park episode.

Very true. Meg gets dissed so much in that show. It's kinda funny actually. =P

Anyways, Family Guy is a lot funnier than South Park and it's like one of my favorite shows. xD It's flashbacks and relations to others things are hilarious. Just overall the show is awesome. =P

I mean who doesn't know the whole "cool hwhip" incident? xD

I prefer South Park over Family Guy. I feel like South Park is actually intellectual at times rather than trying to prove itself with random pokes at politics or "the classics" and makes sense. Family Guy tries to mask itself as a sitcom when it is slowly becoming entirely the clip/variety-show type "flashbacks" that are completely unrelated to the story or anything that's going on. (This is mostly in reference to the five-minute "Chicken Fight" parts and the complete music video made for the song "Everything I Do (I Do It for You)," but there are plenty more examples throughout the series...) I actually enjoy American Dad much more than I enjoy (at least newer episodes of) Family Guy because it sticks mostly to a story and doesn't try to be something it's not. (Translation: I feel like Family Guy is more like Robot Chicken than any sitcom because of its reliance on the cutaway gags but tries to pose as an actual sitcom.)

I feel like South Park has gotten to the point where it recognizes that it's not edgy anymore and strives to be entertaining and somewhat educational (ok, I guess it just preaches sometimes but at least it's done in an entertaining way), but Family Guy still tries to be "edgy" and just ends up being insulting. At least to me.

I also think that "Margaritaville" totally trumps anything from this season of Family Guy.
