They are most likely just emblems to signify their rank. thus why Terra has gold because he is the closest to being out of apprenticeship and becoming a Master.

Agreed with Riku Keyblade.
They have a heart in it, thats only thing that makes it look like heartless logo. Turn it around and we have nobody logo. : P

there kind of like badges no?
=D or its a fashion statement, and terra's looks like a cool belt buckle
i wouldn't say there strange though

that may also be true, but why would terras be gold?
and to me it look like Ven's looks smaller than Aquas
so i like the ranking idea R-K has

or it could mean both

the symbol and also the rank
hmm....

well if its for keyblade master, then it wouldn't make sense for Aqua, Ven, and Terra to be apperentices now would it xD

I think it looks like an emblem of some sort.
Don't know too much about it. I was wondering more about
Ven and Aqua's though. I think somebody else holds the answer. lol.
