Ugh, this is some tough shit. And knowing Joe for years makes the suck factor that much worse. While I got major respect for you, thats pretty busted (Light Skin V2 got hijacked like a bike on the curb).

i got so many viruses from this
like, i haven't had one trace of a virus until my computer detected viruses, but i didn't know they came from the site, didn't think someone in the KH community would do this
i thought they were just random little viruses at first, but once people started complaining about it and now this, it just made this whole thing suck so bad

how does the virus work? is it like, you go to the page that has the pic on it and you get the virus? or is it something else or not known?
Well it would appear that it used to be specifically on the picture, and whoever entered the page with the picture on it ended up getting the virus, but so many people got it that it started throughout the forums. As you may or may not know, some skins even have it now.
So far, we don't really know how to combat it, since we don't know how to stop the spreading. We'd like to get rid of the source as soon as possible, but thanks to the recent reset of the cache, it's looking to be a bit hard.

i don't think i've seen this evil/horrendous/chaotic picture, but i still got the virus
What was this guys motive? Im sorry but boredom doesnt cut it.
this has entirely fucked up my one computer, and the other one is infected as well. Has anyone had any success in completely wiping it?

um, i think i got all of the components in quarantine
i did a full scan on my system and nothing came up so i guess i got them all unless some are hiding(hopefully not)
they won't clean though, they could get into quarantine but i can't clean them for some reason
I got a message that the virus was blocked after an attempt to intrude on my computer. I wanted to make sure this hadn't happened before, so I did a full scan on my computer, but it didn't find anything. So, I don't think it even effected my computer...
Same with me. Even if something happened though, I dont have any important codes or documents on this computer.
Right now, because we have banned him, there is no way to properly interrogate him.
So I'm afraid we may never know.

And if you IP ban him, what will that do? Wouldnt that make it so you would NEVER be able to talk to him about it? Im sure he wouldnt do it again...

i did that, but i continue to get viruses. and i have only been back on this site with my PSP, so i haven't re-exposed my computer
In the current depressed state he's in, I don't know how open he'd be to do a live chat.
It would be easier if all the staff could actually converse with him at once, so that we all get a general understanding.
He might not do it again, but we can't take that chance. This is a serious offense. Next time, it could be something worse!
this has also happened to me. nothing odd happened after I got the message and a scan I ran showed nothing of concern. Thats the only thing I've experienced so far in regards to a virus on my computer.
considering the instability of the virus, it's best if you don't use your computer at all until the problem is fixed.
that goes for all of you who are still being constantly attacked. we'd prefer to get this all sorted out before we put any of you at further risk.

I dont get it... I never got attacked, or warned for that matter. Am I safe? I never saw the thread, and I am using the SimpleClean skin.
