I think if they base it off of Andalasia it would be okay. I wouldn't mind something a bit more modern in KH, though...I mean China was a real place, and so is Notre Dame in Paris, France.

I guess I meant by how modern it is. It would have to be just in Andalasia if they did decide to put it in there, because I'm not sure how they would pull off NYC in KH with the minimal amount of NPCs they put. xD

Am I the only one sort of okay with a sky high world?

... am I the only one to have seen Sky High? Yeah, it got childish and cheesy at a lot of points, but it was still fun.

Why would you say that? :\

Just, sometimes things are rejected out of hand.

Like how my Medfield comments are usually ignored.

I haven't seen Sky High in yonks, so I can't really comment. I think I liked it, but I can't really see it in KH. As far as I can remember, the majority of the film is set in a high school, and I can't really imagine Sora bashing Heartless in the hallways. I dunno.

As for Enchanted, I think the only way they could pull it off would be to have only Andalasia, as many have said before. But is there really enough plot there? Yes, the world would certainly look gorgeous, but the all the story takes place in New York. There wouldn't really be any point to having an Enchanted world in KH if the characters don't grow or show any signs of development by the end. Giselle only finds her 'prince' and goes through general character development when she goes to New York on her grand adventure. Without that, the plot can't move.

Then there's the whole issue of paying Amy Adams for her likeness... But if they could have Johnny Depp's likeness for Captain Jack Sparrow, then surely that's pretty much the same thing? Sorry, typing as I think again...

It'd be a unique setting, though. I am dead set against there being a Sky High world but it isn't like it would work.

They can easily make a new, unique plot like they did in KH1 with a lot of worlds.

The problem with her likeness was that Disney wanted to make Giselle a Disney Princess but because they would have had to pay Amy Adams royalties for using her likeness, they decided not to. I don't think they'd have a problem with her likeness being used in KH, though, because they wouldn't have to pay her hardly as much as they would have if they had made her a part of the Disney Princess line.

Yeah, I guess. Could work, but extremely doubtful. Plus I don't know if it's popular enough to get into KH.

Yeeeaaaahhh, but... Even when making up completely new plots for worlds in KH, the characters still go through the same development and junk, as in they end up as more or less the same person at the end of the world that they were at the end of the film. It would make any Enchanted plot seem very unfinished at the end if Giselle was still the same daydreaming princess as she was at the beginning of the world. I can't see how they can develop her character like they did in the film if they didn't throw her down a mystical hole and make her face the mean streets of New York. There's no point in going to a world if you're not going to have an impact on the main cast in any significant way, which would happen if they couldn't get their oh-so-necessary development through the course of the plot.

...imo.

The problem with her likeness was that Disney wanted to make Giselle a Disney Princess but because they would have had to pay Amy Adams royalties for using her likeness, they decided not to. Ah, right. Shouldn't be too mych issue with that, then. Hopefully.

They can easily make a new, unique plot like they did in KH1 with a lot of worlds.
Sora arrives in Andalasia in the middle of the woods next to a stream. He comments on the beauty of the world. He then hears a yell coming from a near-by clearing. He rushes over there and finds Edward fighting some Dream Eaters, Nathaniel cowering behind a tree, and Sora joins in with the fight. Fight's over and Edward thanks Sora for his help but claims he had it all under control. Edward starts to walk about but then one of Sora's Dream Eater companions hopples around and Nathaniel yelps. Sora then says he'll stay with the Prince and his servant.

Go through a couple of areas where you can fling off trees and at one point you have to swing your keyblade around some branches so you can get to the top(Nathaniel stays at ground level). Edward then looks for his destination up there and tells Sora about his journey and stuff. They then talk about the Keyblade(as everybody Sora comes into contact with talks about).
Edward then spots the house. You do some more flips and spins to get down.

A few more areas where you fight Dream Eaters and you hear some trees crashing. Sora and Edward turn around and see the Troll running towards them. Nathaniel runs off again.
You fight the Troll yadda yadda yadda.
Then you reach the house. Sora thinks he spotted something back in the woods and he leaves without Edward noticing. Edward sings about true loves kiss and Giselle pops out of the window.

Sora walks through the forest and the Witch and Nathaniel are watching him from their tower(he's in one of those things where you watch people though water or something). Nathaniel talks about how he almost had Edward stopped but the boy interfered. The Queen gets furious.

Now, I know that sucks but that's my idea of how they might make a world out of the first level. Of course, it's really short (I'm not a writer) so professionally done they'd have been able to expand it plus Riku would take the palace so there is more there.

Sorry...but this storyline could be used for Sleeping Beauty jsut as much as it could be for Enchanted. I just feel like Enchanted was Sleeping Beauty if it was only kept in Andalasia. What made Enchanted so different was the fact that they all got lost in NYC, which made for a comical scene considering they were ill prepared for the world. However, I'm with you guys on wanting an Enchanted world because I love the movie and I think Amy Adams is great :D

As for Sky High...that is an absolute no for me. Might as well just put in some Marvel characters instead.

I thought the joke about Enchanted's beginning is that it was a mashup of every classic animated princess story trope ever made.

So the world would basically be based on a ten minute satire segment?

Giselle learned what it was like to feel negative human emotions and what it is like not to live a happy life after living in a world of "happily ever after"s. She also learned what lust is xD

I feel like that made it different. xD

Yeah, we should totally have Spider-Man. When I say Spider-Man I mean the new one in Ultimate Spider-Man. When I say this, I honestly mean no Marvel ever.

Shy High is an absolute no for me and I actually watched the movie twice so that's my final verdict! An Enchanted world COULD work, but I just can't see it that much. Andalasia and the movie's character's were only just fusions of settings and characters from Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella, (Seriously, the producers said so themselves!) Not to mention that I can't see Sora walking in a place like New York, or the entire US for that matter. But if Square can make a New York setting work, than I wouldn't really mind that much though.

All of Enchanted is a satire of Disney movies.Heck, she goes the way of Snow White while Maleficent is outside.*

*Not literally.

The Bayou would like to have a word with you. And besides, I meant something modern, not a setting from the early 1900's. I'm open to the idea of a modern setting, I've just never seen one yet to actually gain an understanding of if it would fit KH, that's all.

TWTNW was rather modern in design. So was Twilight Town.

Well, you have a point there. Eh, I guess I just don't want to see anymore live-action Disney worlds besides sequels to Tron and Pirates due to not really liking live-action Disney movies. Not to mention that every character and setting from Andalasia is a fusion of Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella, which really doesn't interest me in the originality component compared to other Disney movies. Great, now I feel like a complete hypocrite. :(
