So I was just curious....how does everyone pronounce 'Xion'?
I always said it as "Zaye-on" but the new traier has Namine pronounce it as "Zee-on" (I'm pretty sure)
...
So does anyone say it one of those 2 ways? Or anything diffrent?

(Oh and...this is the right section...right??)

It was pronounced She-On In the Trailer, but since its almort never the exact same in the US I expect it to be pronounced Zi-On.

But thats just me.

Well the roomaji pronounciation would of course be Xee-Own, however I like to say Xee-Ahn for English.

~ it's pronounced "shi-on". but, it'll probably be pronounced a little differently when it hits state side. the whole "shi" thing is only there because of the way the japanese language is built.

I pronounec it ZI-on, and most people seem to be pronouncing it the same way, so I'm guessing thats how the translated version will be.

I heard Namine say Shion.

Well, Japanese pronunciation isn't exactly the same as English; haven't you noticed that all throughout Re:COM, the other characters pronounce "Marluxia" as "Marooshia"?
So, it makes sense that the "X" in "Xion" would be pronounced "Sh", like in "Marooshia".

^ Yeah, you're wrong...
Xigbar - [ zig - bar ]

Okay, the way that the Japanese had written Zexion in katakana [ one of the different writing languages ] is like this,
則区市で, and we say that as [ zek - zee - on ], Xion is 市に, which, if you look, is also in Zexion. [ 則区市で ]
So, from logic, you'd say that since
則区市で = ze ku shi on [ zek - zee - on ], that
市で = shi on [ zee - on ]
I rest my case.

I always thought it was pronounced the way it was spelled---zi-on---just with an x in place of the z.

After watching the trailer, however, it sounds like it was more along the lines of "she-on" or something like that.

You're talking about the pronunciation of Shion.
They wanted to know how to say Xion.

That's the Japanese pronunciation.
You were right the first time.
