Yeesh. It's good, but it's not that good. Hikari was better in my opinion. (refuses to call it "Simple and Clean", lousy americanization <_<)
Which brings up a question. The English lyrics to Simple and Clean were completely butchered when compared to Hikari's Japanese lyrics. You think they'll do the same to Passion?

Usually when Japanese songs have English versions, they are very butchered and completely different than the original. -remembers various BoA songs that have English versions and are completely insane in a bad way- It's because you can't keep the meaning, put it in a different language and expect it to have the original beat. Something's got to change, and it sure isn't the beat. But maybe Passion will be okay. -pipe dream-

I believe Hikki rewrote S&C cause she said when she translated Hikari, it couldn't keep up with the fast beat so she rewrote it or something like that.

'Think I'll wait until March to pass judgement/do my voting in the polls. Part of the reason S&C caught my eye was because it went so well with the animation (in the opening). 'Feel it's only right to wait and see if "Passion" does the same thing before cementing my opinion on it.
Just from listening to it, however, it makes me feel like there should be something going on while it's playing, like it was almost meant to be a BG song. S&C was one of those songs you could listen to by itself, but Passion has that kind of long-and-winding tones to it; there's less going on. Depending on the opening/closing animation it's paired with though, I think it has the potential to be really good.
