Operation Beharrlich​

The snow fell lightly from the empty dark sky, already falling for quite some time to create a small blanket of the cold white substance both around the large area and over the stray large pine trees that seemingly dotted the landscape. The sound of something crackling could be heard within the area, as the snow continued to fall, melting immediately as it came close to the radiating heat, brought on from the raging fires that accompanied the remnants of a large building. Laying seemingly lifeless on the slightly melted snow, a small body, various ripped wires and medical tubes could be seen one both the arms, and legs of the obviously female body, while much smaller wires stuck out from the back of her shredded and soaking wet clothes.

Suddenly, the slightest amount of movement was made, as the medium sized girl first moved her right hand, and then her left, pushing herself up off of the ground before standing on her legs a little shakily. Placing her face into her hands, wiping off any of the snow and water that was there, the 5’7 tall girl wiped her eyes as she turned around to look at the new environment she was in.

The look in her eyes was obvious, she had absolutely no idea where she was, nor did she know how she ended up to this moment, outside a large burning building, alone in a cold wasteland, with no one else, but her. The look of shock that appeared on the girls face was one of terror, as she noticed the large hole that was in front of her on the wall of the building,

almost as if it was punched through by some incredibly force. The blood that was present on her fingers, arms and even her face from after she tried to wipe the snow away, was also a mystery, one that along with many other that ran through her mind, would probably never be answered, if she stayed where she was of course.

Taking a few weak and shaky steps forward, the girl collapsed onto her knees in the soft yet freezing snow, not able to take any more as she started to cry into her hands. Suddenly, the sound of a bird crying as it soared through the air above her, caught her attention as she tilted her head and watched the bird fly away far into the distance.

“I...I wish I could be so lucky...” the girl said to herself as she looked back down to the ground as her tears started to come in even more harder, holding her hand up to her eyes in reaction. An intense and excruciating pain suddenly overcame the girl, as more and more tears ran down her face, while she held tightly onto the sides of her clothes.

Pain, pain of skin ripping and bones separating was all the girl could feel with every passing moment, she could have cared less for the large mounds that were trying to force themselves free on her back through her clothes. That was, until the cloth couldn’t take any more and two large white wings, resembling does that would belong to a dove, suddenly burst forth through small holes made by their appearance through her back, spreading and flapping with ease as they began to lift the light girl up from the ground.

Too afraid and scared to say anything as she watched her new wings flap in their new birth, the girl was soon carried away into the air, her strong white wings taking her away into the sky until she was nothing more then a small white spec, so much like the snow, that continued to fall from the sky.


~The Story So Far~

Verband, an organisation the whole world has come to know. Though people have found the items they produce to be quite remarkable, no one dares to ask how this company can make such products, and no one wishes to, unless they want to happen to them like so many others. No one quite knows how long this company has been around, as some even say its been around since the early 20th century.

This is as far as people would go to talk about the Organisation, fearing that this company had eyes and ears, everywhere. In truth, the organisation first began in the year 1953, over 130 years and possibly even older, as no more records go to as far back as this.

Even then, the company produced many items that proved successful to those at the time, and since then they’ve only released products that people want when they need them. No one joins the company of their own free will, people have been known to disappear from time to time, and once taken, those that are of use are told they may choice to work for them, mostly as guards and soldiers to protect the many institutions they control.

Some of the smartest men and woman over the years have been, asked, to take part with the company, in their work for newer and better products for people, However once people are taken and join the company, there has been very few incidents of which people would leave.

The process of people being taken, is not quite easy to point out when it first began, as over the many years the organisation have made sure to take only unimportant people, at first that is. The sudden increase of people disappearing happened however, in the year 2000 in which more then three hundred people went missing all over the country.

This great moment of people going missing was never explained, nor did anyone wish to want any explanation for fear of they too being taken. Though this moment was unimaginable for people, it proved quite useful to the Organisation to keep everyone under control and silence.
and to keep their silence.

No one has ever seen the one person who is in control of Verband, many believe that there is no such person and that the company is in control of more then one person No one is sure, though there has been sightings of a single man, one that has been with the company for so long yet seems to be the same person as he was back then. Such sightings have been normally around Verbands main headquarters, a huge heavily guarded building, almost like a fortress where all products are tested before use by everyone.

The most strangest thing of all about the building, is that while it looks huge on the outside, it is much bigger on the inside, with more then twenty floors buried deep underground where no one but those who have the highest clearance can enter.


Classes​

Below are a list of specialist classes, in which you may have your character be particularly adept at. Every recovery unit has at least on of each of these classes along with a high tech mobile recovery vehicle, equiped with all of the lates in field technolody by Verband.

Classes for field work

Demolition – Speciality of this class, is access to high explosives, as well as information on certain combinations of dangerous chemicals.

Sniper – Speciality of this class, is almost pin point precision with most weapons. However, the sniper rifle is the most preferred of most weapons to them, with its long range.

Medic – Speciality of this class, is extensive knowledge of field medical procedures. When working within the Mobile Vehicle, Medics have access to that of the most advanced technology for treating injuries and aliments.

Defender – One of the most toughest of the classes. Able to survive and take the brunt of most head on attacks, a defender is encased in thick armor, in which helps them survive. This however makes them quite slow.

Forensics – Stays behind in the mobile recovery vehicle and conducts experiments on both evidence found at certain locations, while also on specimens held in captivity.

Grunt – Grunts are the basic of almost all classes, though one thing stands them out over others. While most classes work normally separately, the Grunt works in large teams of fellow soldiers, coordinating their movements and attacks to overwhelm the enemy in both attack and planning.

Mechanic – Like Forensics, Mechanic class stays with the Mobile Vehicle and are in charge of maintaining its continued running and efficiency.

Classes for the development by Verband

Machine Technicians – This class is for those who wish to work within the main headquarters of Verband itself, in which they are specialised with the creation of all mechanical devices and vehicles of any and all sorts. However, all technology must be approved by the head of Verband before any action is taken in their creation.

Surgical and chemical enhancement – The most brilliant and advanced scientists and doctors work in creation to medical products and theories that revolutionise the way in which surgery is done to affect the human body.

Broadcasting technician – A class that is responsible for all broadcasting transmissions between all teams that are out on patrol, as well as radio and other transmitting signals in which are picked up for analysis by Verband and its various companies.

Important Notes on the World in Operation Beharrlich

. The world in which this rp is set in, is that of the near future in the year 2080. Though this isn’t too far into the future, information going further back to the year 2000, is all classified except to those who work in the highest branches of Verbands main headquarters.

. Verband, the company and organisation in which this rp centres alot around, is basically the most important thing in this world for the rp. Everything and anything goes through Verband first, while products are mostly developed and made by them, meaning everything in this rp is almost certainly created by them in some way.

. Though people aren’t incredibly poor in this future, it seems that only a select few are classified as rich in this world, while everyone else is that of a governed military state. They are able to keep living and surviving but without Verband looking out for them, everyone would possibly perish with starvation.


~RULES~

OK heres how this is going to work, basically everyone is going to start on the organisations side and as the story progresses you will gradually find out more about what this company does and from the information you gather you can make a choice you can either assist the organisation to capture the girl or you can choose to help destroy the organisation the choice is totally upto you, however there are a few little rules that i wish to impose

1. no GM'ing PP'ing or the like
2. Sephiroth2 and My word are law in this RP
3. If you need to ask questions please post them here to stop the main story thread from being filled with spam.

Edit: I know 'sniper' is an unusual choice for a guy who uses a shotgun, but that's the best fit.

Name: Maxwell Browning
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Appearance: Max is a fairly lean man with short, black hair, and vibrant green eyes. When off duty, he is typically seen in a collared, dark red shirt, with a black jacket and trousers; he also is seen wearing typical gloves and boots that Verband soldiers wear. The jacket sports a fairly worn logo of the SteelTempest firearms company. On duty, he wears body armor and a helmet with a visor made from bullet-resistant material. There is also a specially built dispenser he will wear that can hold individual shotgun shells, dispensed by pulling on a lever.
Class: Sniper
Weapons: Max is handy with any shotgun-based weapon, but is particularly well-practiced with SteelTempest's designed products. At the moment, he carries an ST-0 Surestrike, a single-barrel break action shotgun, SteelTempest's first ever shotgun. The variety of equipment and ammunition that Maxwell has ranges from nonlethal taser rounds, flexible baton rounds, and rubber bullets, to far more lethal birdshot, buckshot, slugs, even small explosive rounds.
Ability: Ballistics (Able to predict the trajectory of fast-moving projectiles with beyond human accuracy, will be able to actually alter the projectile's path when his ability grows more powerful.)
History: Maxwell Browning was a former competitive shooter, sponsored by the now defunct firearms manufacturer SteelTempest. Max had a notably successful career for a competitive shooter; winning numerous competitions, including a gold medal in the olympic SK125 two years before. His career seemed to be coming to a close, after four years, when the SteelTempest firearms company ran into financial difficulties, and would need to shut down. It was, at this time, that Verband purchased the company, and took in a select few of the company's employees. Max, to his surprise, was taken; he was offered the opportunity to work for Verband, an opportunity he took without any haste.
It is now Max's duty to train other Verband soldiers in shooting technique and marksmanship. He himself also sometimes serves the occasional role as a soldier for Verband. At the moment, Max is quite happy with his new employers, and has utmost faith that they can keep the world on track.

Sniper/demolition was the most appropriate choice as my character is a cross between them both. Medic was chosen as i will be able to heal myself (MAYBE others depending on flexibility) as my powers grow.
Name: Mizzaks
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Appearance: Mizzaks stands at the reletively short height of 5"6. His figure is rather slim for his age and his back is hunched over due to carrying heavy pieces of equipment around in his backpack. He can straighten his back out but he is far too relaxed in an environment where there is no stress to care. His body is of regular/average build. His eyes are an unusual shade of red and his face looks work-worn from the hard hours he worked with his father. His hair is worn in a messy fashion and is of medium length coloured black, worn with his fringe covering one of his eyes. He wears black jeans and shoes for the bottom part of his figure. On his torso he wears a black polo-shirt and a red trench coat over the shirt. He wears typical 'Mad scientist' style goggles. He also has the alchemical circle carved onto the back of each of his hands, and a big one carved into his back. This was one of the pains he had to withstand to truly understand Alchemy.
Class: Sniper/Demolition/Medic
Weapons: Mizzaks carry's a one of a kind two handed broad sword, there is nothing special about the sword apart from its weight. Mizzaks has modified the alchemical properties within the steel to make it light enough for him to carry and swing at his comfort. Mizzaks also sports a 45 calibre sniper rifle which he calls the 'Longsword'. He had this rifle customly made by a highly trained engineer ages ago, you can tell because it is smaller than a regular rifle. He had it customly made due to his unusual size. The last weapons in Mizzaks small aresenal are what he calls his 'Shortswords'. Simply put these are Dessert eagles with altered alchemical properties again to make them lighter so he can carry all of his other equipment around.
Ability: Alteration of alchemical/physical properties within a material object/s. - with higher levels Mizzaks will be able to heal open wounds and sicknesses on organic creatures and people
History:
Mizzaks was originally born in an underground tunnel city system known as Fenlakee (fen lark ee) when he, his mother and father all lived together as a family. Nobody really spoke about the reason behind why they lived there, or why they all had such strange names, but at the time Mizzaks never really cared. At the age of 7 he commenced work under his fathers' rule as an alchemist assistant. So Mizzaks spent a good 13 years carting alchemical equipment and failed projects to his father and to the dump and sometimes back again. At the age of twenty his father thought it was time for him to relise the power that alchemy had and took him to the lab one day. There he was schooled in the history of alchemy and what it could do, of course he wanted to learn more and more so he spent most of his time huddled up in his room reading his fathers' books on the discoveries he has made and the discoveries he has yet to make. So on the day of Mizzaks 25th birthday he had practically mastered alchemy, or so he thought. Under the watchful eye of his father and mother he started to create his first alchemical experiment. this same experiment caused him to be exiled and scoulded by the Fenlakee community. In that lab, he developed the first bullet to be purely made of alchemical units and compounds. His proud father invited the Mayor of Fenlakee around they're home for tea that night. He announced what his son had done. The mayor was furious. War and violence was heavily frowned upon in Fenlakee, and so Mizzaks was tossed out and was exiled from the community. He spent 7 years traveling the world. Searching for some-one to take him on with his unique and powerful understanding of alchemy, and thats where he found Verbrand.

Apperance: Grennan is a young man wearing a jacket with a hood over his head, brown short hair and hazel eyes. Grennan is a man who is usually called a "hot head" but only to those who see him as this way, to his fellow breathren he is a loyal, understanding and gifted soldier. in actual theroy no one seems to know his "true" identity, some say its due to his different attitude to certain people or other claims. When in battle he will often be seen in a close quater combat armor and thermal vision goggle on his right eye.
Class: Grunt/ Defender
Weapons: Grennan is a large fan of close quater shotguns such as his custom made Mossberg 500( known as the fatboy) that he designed at the age of 21, attached with a relex scope ( just for looks), a laser pointer, a grip handle and loaded with imploding shells and coated with a Black Chrome paint, Along with his "Fatboy" he will often use be found weilding his wrist blade (also known as the truthfinder) that is attached to a 50 metre extendable thin rope that makes the "truthfinder" even more deadly at point blank range to the 50 metre point.
History: When Grennan was only an infant his parents where tradgically murdered by an unknown group of Criminals. He was sent to live with his Uncle who was a well respected weapons Deigner who made some of the most deadliest modern weapons from Pistols to Tactical Missiles. Grennan took a Storng interest into Close quater Combat weapons and took his Unlces Teachings to design his most prized and cherished "fatboy" and his deadly "Truthfinder" ( Designed to find your last minute confessions), he also was one of the few people who have the knowledge to create "impolding shells" that can be used in all hand held weapons. On one fatefull day his uncle, many other high ranked empolyes and him where conducting a testing of a new Bomb, but something went wrong, the bomb wasn't fully secure for the detonation, even before they could test it, it blew up, Killing many people and his uncle, But he on the other hand... some how survived. Help soon arrived but seemed to be the hands of Verbrand empolyies. Eager to find a way to cure his everlasting pain from the explosion, But at what cost.

Name: Geneva Feynman
Age: 32
Gender: Female
Appearance: Geneva is a short woman with shoulder-length brown hair and hazel eyes. She is almost always seen in medical garb, even when off-duty. When on-duty, she wears a lightened, hermetically sealed version of Verband-issue body armor, and a helmet she designed herself to minimize the inhalation of nanomachinery.
Class: Medic
Weapons: Geneva's heavily relies on the Panacea Medical System, a series of small nanomachines contained within canisters on her hip. These nanomachines are dispersed either through an explosive distribution system, by aerosol spray, by skin contact, or by direct injection, with the lattermost option being most efficient. These nanomachines are directed by a console on Geneva's wrist, since the nanomachines are not autonomous and rely on constant direction from Geneva to heal injury. Although difficult to do, these nanomachines can also be used offensively; but in the end, a gun is a far more effective weapon.
Ability: Nanotechnokinesis - Ability to manipulate nanomachines without aid from a control device. The more powerful her skill becomes, the more effectively she can control nanomachines.
History: One of several researchers working on medical applications of nanomachinery. Dr. Feynman was one of several who created a prototype version of the Panacea, a medical system that would offer a single answer to any illness or ailment. Unfortunately, the Panacea project was shut down, as many believed it to be prone to dangerous, lethal malfunction, in addition to typical fears of the technology becoming self-aware. One by one, her colleages gave up on the hope of creating the Panacea medical system. Despite this, she continued research alone. It was not long after Geneva was stripped of her status as a doctor, as it was found that Geneva was conducting greatly illegal and immoral experimentation on patients without their consent. She barely avoided a jail sentence for her actions, and fell into a deep bout of depression.
During her depression, Verband approached her, offering her the opportunity to work for them. Seeing no other alternatives, she accepted. Geneva now works in the field, allowed to use her highly controvertial Panacea medical system on fellow soldiers as a medic.

Name: Unknown, simply called Captain

Age: 48

Gender: Male

Appearance: Quite a huge man, Captain is around 6’’, bulky and has short spiky black hair and piercing green eyes. A long scar runs down over from the right corner of his face, over his eye before ending right at his nose. This wound is one of many that accompany the Captain’s body, as without his armor, one can see the man scars from so many battles the man has been in over his time. Captain wears a suit of reinforced steel, specially created by Verband to resist most forms of damage by sacrificing speed, as the suit is both incredibly heavy to withstand on one’s body, let alone move in. However, Captain is quite a strong man, even without this suit, earning his physical condition to years of fighting and training for Verband. The suit comes equipped with its own internal system of nano machines, which regulate his body and heals any wounds to the best of their ability as soon as they occur.

Class: Defender

Weapons (If any, however class will sometimes determine what weapons are allowed): Captain wields only one weapon, that of an overly large electromagnetic railcannon. The huge bulky weapon, is too large for mostly anyone then Captain to wield, as he must use it with both of his hands due to its immense size. The powerful cannon uses strong electromagnetism to launch projectiles inside at amazing speeds, causing it to break through almost any barrier it comes across. Though it can only fire one shot at a time, each firing of the weapon is a clear statement that you do not want to be in the path of this. While not being used to fire, Captain also can use the use bulky weapon physically as well, swinging it around to launch enemies away from him, if however their bodies aren’t crushed from the force of his swing.

Ability: (you will not have this ability from the start it will be awakened)Captains ability is that of a greatly increased and heightened amount of accuracy, allowing him to better perceive obstacles and situations in much better conditions then situations allow. This ability would increase to such a point, that he may never miss a target he fires at, nor would any environment such as those that allow poor vision, prove to effect his sight and accuracy in the least.

History: His true name is unknown, only kept in a file like that of everyone else who works for Verband, though for as long as he has been there, people have come to know him simply as Captain. Not much is known besides this name, except that for most of his life, from the age of 21, he has worked with Verband as one of its most successful soldiers. Training since the day he arrived, Captain has worked quite hard to attain the strong features he now possesses, along with the trust from the leader of Verband himself. It was no more then six years ago however, that Captain was given the powerful suit he now wears which both protects him from harm and increases his already huge amount of strength, which he has learned to better use along with his primary weapon, his cannon. In charge of all field teams that are sent out for patrols, Captain sometimes accompanies teams himself, to better command and lead in some of the more serious situations they may come across.

Age: She looks to be about 20, but her aging might be offset by her bodily structure at this point.

Gender: Female

Appearance:
Boa might come off as beautiful, to others she could come off as a monstrosity. To some she might be considered both, as she is something that when looked upon is not normal by nay means in nature, yet who has the right to define the term "normal" as is?? Boa stands at a height of 5'7 and 3/4 inches. Her body type is on the slim side, yet still toned from what is visible as she seems to be wearing no clothing so to speak, but she is not naked.

Her face is more than average, but based on how you look at it can come off as a bit scary. Her eyes and overall facial expression seem a bit cold, most likely because of the membrane of substance that is covering her face all the way up t the cheeks. Boa has long hair that extends down her back to her waist that is a dark chestnut brown color.

Moving down to her overall body, her frame is well built, and not overly revealing unless you look at it that way. Because she is covered in some substance, Boa's skin in most areas is fused with a grey metallic covering, that is formed over her entire body other than a small space from her neck between her breasts, and spots on her lower back, and legs. Boa's arms seem to have a thicker more focused form of this material than the rest of her body, as the arms have spikes protruding from them, that go to the wrist, and dull on the hand, but her fingers are also all clawed, and these sharp claws can rip through even sharp metal and stone.....

A genius with near perfect competence in fields of various science and computer technology, cybernetic manipulating, computer engineering and such fields of the genre as those, Boa has invented advanced weaponry and has and can reconstruct computerized devices from memory, and just as easily hack into systems like these if her job pertains to it. A skilled mind Magneto is also a master strategist with extensive combat experience capable of surviving or even winning against what would appear to be a superior force.

Weapons: Floral Halliphax- This is the set of dual guns that Boa uses in battle. They are small guns that are actually shaped like a twister of thick flowers. The handle that curves down is three stems; that of a gold Rose in the middle, a green Lilly on the left side, and a black orchid on the right. The intertwined stems are all partially translucent, which allows for the liquid like energy substance that flows through them to be seem as she moves the guns. The buds of the three flowers line up, and when the guns are used, they fire rapid shots of energy source that have a dominant effect of breaking into defenses and causing paralysis. The shots can be charged and fired off as a pulse of multicolored radial energy from all three flower buds at once, but normally the shots cycle from flower to flower. Teal colored light flows from the bottom of her guns. From a distance it doesn't look like much of a weapon and the same goes for up close however when used the mist like metal can cause huge gashes and rips from a tiny cut. The secret is that when looking directly at the blade you can not see the mist covering leaf shaped multitudes of metal and substance that make up the weapon....

Aluruphos Queen-The same as the other weapon, merely the handle that curves down is three different stems; that of a magenta daisy on the right, a white rose in the center and a yellow tulip on the left. The hues of the gun as a whole are opaque on this gun.

Ability: Awakened
Her mind is allowed to function in a way such as a computer networking frame with unlimited capacity for storage, but faster by far., she can perform numerous mental functions and not loose focus., or instantly recall exact information with insane speed and accuracy. Anything that happens to her can be sealed in a photographic memory and retrieved without human thought. The sheer speed of her thoughts lead into augmenting her analytical ability so that she is able to make snap decisions about her surroundings and create complex scenarios at that same speed. As such, Boa is able to track the probability of an event by piecing together stored data and is able to perform multiple tasks at once by allocating a partition of her brain to each task. This is also how she is skilled in hand to hand combat and weaponry.

Unawakened
Boa has an alarming sense of power as such harbors a subjecting control over electromagnetism and can control acts between electrically charged particles. Like the electrostatic force, acting between charges at rest, and the combined effect of electric and magnetic forces acting between charges moving relative to each other with magnetic powers through her own body so as to temporarily increase his strength, stamina, and agility to superhuman levels if need be. For the most part she is not known to be terribly powerful, bat at present there are a few who know just how cataclysmic and dangerous her powers could come to be, given the disablement of her “body”
