Apparently a trailer was shown at Nitendo Direct, it's a new trailer, same footage from the new trailers from last week except maybe Riku talking to Quasi in the cathedral? The trailer is 1:27 long here's the link:

It wasn't new. Everything in that trailer was from the short trailer from JF.
Yeah, unfortunately there wasn't anything new. So i guess the next time we'll get news will be in February/March.
We'll get news in January per the norm (hoping at least). JF was a major event yet we have yet to see Nomura do a follow up interview with Famitsu since the one he did for TGS.
True, maybe we should wait for a similar thing. Also does SE plan to do another event just like last year?
In any case i am content but i'd like more info on the story.

I'm sure they will. They've got a lot of games to show off, and they will want to inspire interest in their games after how dismal XIII-2 sales were in Japan.
They usually would have announced the event by now, right?
Not really. They announce events at random, if I'm not mistaken. This year out of the blue they announced that one conference then renamed it 1stPDP and pushed it a week ahead. I remember SE had some kind of "party" 2010 or 2009...DKΣ3713 was 2008, but none of them were announced at a specific time. They just were.
But didn't we know about DKΣ3713 well ahead of time?

If there will be an event, they'll announce it in due time. Be patient.
Since they said this will be on par with a main length, I'd say they are reaching half or are one third done with world announcements. I feel we'll be getting plenty information in the couple months until release, and since there are ONLY a couple months, I have a good feeling about the next couple showings (whether they be a scan or trailer) giving some juicy stuff. :3 <3
It helps that they're updating the site regularly, just as I thought they would. It looks like we'll be getting new stuff every week from the site, if not elsewhere.
