I've heard pretty good things about this show as a whole, but I haven't actually watched it yet. Figured I'd have to make a thread about this to post something for this.

This supposedly says something about a "Top Secret Announcement" regarding Mushishi. The anime only animated about half of the series from what I hear, so it looks like we may be getting a second season? Gives me a good reason to buy the S.A.V.E. version of the series now I suppose.

For those interested in purchasing the series, it's only about $20 on Amazon currently.

I've never read the manga, but I did watch the entire anime. There's no overarching plot or anything, but it actually works pretty well regardless. It's a very interesting collection of stories and definitely worth the watch.

its an episodic anime with no overaching plot, buts its honestly one of the most well written and beautiful anime i have ever watched

New OVA for this is out, and Season 2 is premiering in April! I really hope it finishes out the second half of the manga (I don't see why it wouldn't unless it is a shorter season).

I'm a little over halfway done with the first. Hope I'm done before April, this series is pretty great. I'm loving the dub of it too!

I'm loving the dub of it too!

I'm actually a fan of the dub myself, so I hope they greenlight the dub over here, as well as the new OVA. I think Ginko's voice actor was the same guy who did Roy Mustang in FMA (or maybe that was just for the first few episodes)

Yep, it is. Travis Willingham. Definitely not a role I've seen him take before, it's much different than his others I've seen.

And yet it worked so well. The rest of the cast was always very decent as well, I don't ever remember being annoyed at a character's voice or finding that it didn't suit them, this anime has just had one of the greatest localisations I have ever seen.

Excellent choice for the first episode. Provides something interesting for people who've seen it from the beginning, and also serves as a good starting point for those just getting into the series.

I actually expected them to keep the original opening, but I feel like the new one definitely suits the tone of the show well and I am not disappointed in the slightest

When I saw Nyan post the video up, I fully expected a new version of Sore Feet Song, not the exact same...just maybe a piano version or something.

Very happy with this one though.

Just when I thought I already hit my threshold of feeling for this series...That new OP theme is beautiful. (aaaand now purchased off of iTunes)
