Didn't Nomura state that Coaty is the MoM? So it's safe to call him Master Rushu?
Yes, Coaty is the Master of Masters, however, I called him Master Rushu on impulse. I'll wait until official translations have been released.

Didn't Nomura state that Coaty is the MoM? So it's safe to call him Master Rushu?
No, no, I don't think his name is really going to be translated as "rushu", I just couldn't really think of a name that fits the katakana, which reads "rushu" (ルシュ), (maybe "Lucio"? but that sounds too loose.)The way how relaxed the figure is sitting there I would assume it is Apocalypse-Coaty though.
So "Rushu" is indeed the correct Translation of the name?
Definitely not in the theme naming of the seven deadly sins then as the missing names there would be "Luxuria" and "Superbia"...
He's the Sixth. The last scene with Ava and the MoM is titled "Rushu's Mission". She seems to be addressing hooded guy with "rushu", so is he the MoM or the sixth..?
(Loosely: Ava: Finally found [you] at last, Rushu...)
He's the Sixth.
Gula and Chirithy reveal this in the previous scene. Ava went to look for Rushu in order to ask him where the Master is.
Also, Rushu has the Lost Page, and says that it contains the Master's intentions.
My Japanese needs work but I believe the implications are that Rushu's mission was to carry out the prophecy that the Master foretold.
Hmm, I guess that does work in some cases like Xion and Zexion, but that would make his name something like "Rux"/"Rush" or "Lux"/"Lush", which doesn't sound quite right, either..EDIT: Regarding Rushu's name, I'd like to point out that "X" can be pronounced as "sh" in certain contexts...
I'm pretty sure Invi is a typo here, just noticed that you have Skuld saying "Master Ira".Spoiler Show
- Master Aced:
- Master Invi:
- Master Aced:
- Master Invi:
- Master Aced:
- Master Invi:
- Master Aced:
- Master Aced:
- Master Aced:
- Master Aced:
- Master Invi:
- Master Aced:
- Master Aced:
- Master Aced:
- Master Invi:
- Master Invi:
- Master Aced:
- Skuld:
- Master Invi:
- Skuld:
- Master Invi:
- Skuld:
- Skuld:
- Master Invi:
- Master Invi:
- Skuld: [Insert player's name here]!!
Perhaps "Master of Masters" is just a title, and can be passed down, like "Master" in the present era. This is getting confusing... xD So either Nomura lied to us, or something was lost in translation and Back Cover has TWO Coaties: MoM and the Sixth.
"Lux" would fit with the sin names, namely Luxuria.Hmm, I guess that does work in some cases like Xion and Zexion, but that would make his name something like "Rux"/"Rush" or "Lux"/"Lush", which doesn't sound quite right, either..
"Lux" would fit with "Luxuria," at least, though if he has the lion Keyblade that's not the name I'd expect him to have. (Maybe the Keyblade was the MoM's originally?)Hmm, I guess that does work in some cases like Xion and Zexion, but that would make his name something like "Rux"/"Rush" or "Lux"/"Lush", which doesn't sound quite right, either..

I believe the pronunciation is actually different in Latin, but, this is Japanese, so who knows how they say it.
Latin has "lux" said as "loo-k-su", (according to Google Translate), which would have most likely ended up being ルクス like we have for Lux.Perhaps "Master of Masters" is just a title, and can be passed down, like "Master" in the present era."Lux" would fit with the sin names, namely Luxuria.

Yeah, seems like "rushu" really is the 6th..
- Chirithy:
- Skuld:

With what you've just said, the Sixth Apprentice wasn't a Forteller not because he couldn't make the cut, but rather, they were a cut above everyone else? That's a mind-blowing thought to consider...
Not really. It's been tossed around before as a hypothesis that MoM knew that the five would fail so the sixth was either a "back-up plan" or "failsafe system". Although no one actually took it seriously because of the implications. With what you've just said, the Sixth Apprentice wasn't a Forteller not because he couldn't make the cut, but rather, they were a cut above everyone else? Lucio, or rather "Luxu" (as the R is interchangeable with the L in Japanese) would fit for "Luxuria" though and keep the theme naming intact.
I see, so the Sixth purposely stole/removed the page either in order to further his own agenda or to simply deny the others the Master's intentions.
Ahaaa, but the question still remains if the "mission" of the Sixth was one that was assigned by the Master or if he decided to follow this "mission" on his own accord, maybe to spite/one up the other Foretellers or to simply prove his superiority over them.
Yep, pronounce the "sh" like X and the R like L (like I said above, interchangeable in Japanese) and we got "Luxu" as the name which fits "Luxuria", the deadly sin of Lust.
Uh, I wouldn't jump to conclusions here as the reasons for him not being one are still unclear. We don't know yet why the Master vanished and if the Sixth is in league with the Master or working on his own accord. Maybe the Master didn't deem the Sixth "ready" for the role yet but the Sixth felt otherwise and betrayed the Master while keeping the other Foretellers in the Dark, vowing to "carry out" the prophecy himself in order to prove his superiority over both the Master and the other Foretellers.
In that case, the "traitor" would clearly be the Sixth and he would certainly embody the "proto"-Xehanort.
Sorry, I got confused, I changed it. The script is complete now.I'm pretty sure Invi is a typo here, just noticed that you have Skuld saying "Master Ira".
Thanks for the script, Ava's last line in the last scene also catches my attention:Sorry, I got confused, I changed it. The script is complete now.
- Master Ava: ……

I didn't know the word earlier, but Rushu saysAhaaa, but the question still remains if the "mission" of the Sixth was one that was assigned by the Master or if he decided to follow this "mission" on his own accord, maybe to spite/one up the other Foretellers or to simply prove his superiority over them.
I didn't know the word earlier, but Rushu says
His mission is to inherit the secret.
And with him having knowledge of the Master's intent in the Lost Page, I believe that Rushu really is the Master of Masters's star pupil.
His Successor, even.
Glad to know my theory has some merit towards it.
