Accepted.
Just don't go using that Magic too much, there is a limit.
Spoiler ShowName: Marquis de Requiescat
Age: "Oh, I'm older than most. Difference is, I'm at the top of this chandelier of molting candles, and my flame's never truly gone out."
Title(s): The Conductor; Zhar'tiern'nor;
Gender: Male
Personality: A congenial figure, he is kind when allowed, yet keeps no reserve for what others would consider 'madness.' One such incident occurred on a battlefield where a soldier of his command noticed Marquis playing the violin while men died in sobbing screams around him; another dictates that, at one point, 'in order to show our military respect to the enemy,' the order was issued that Marquis' regiment was to bury, and then provide funeral service for each and every woodland creature the soldiers caught for food - they were later named 'the silent vigils, as no one dared say of a word against the procession of Cottontail's bones, delicious though he was . .'
However, one must consider the obvious factor - Marquis may be mad in some possible sense, but he also retains his sanity, as portrayed by the various political schemes he devised, all of which succeeded, one way or another.
Appearance: Hole-riddled parchments indicate de Requiescat was of an average height, around five-foot and nine inches, weighing little more than one-hundred and eighty pounds. He dressed in nominally a dark green or blue coat which hung to the knees with divided coattails, the buttons of the coat either gold or silver, usually weighed with metals, always on the left side of the coat.
Underneath was worn a white tunic, tucked into dark brown leggings, and the latter stuffed into black leather boots. A belt wrapped around his waist, the normal being a plain leather belt with a buckle made of an obsidian metal, though no study has come to conclusion on the subject, or if the buckle itself has any use in combat.
His face was said to be free of wrinkles, with well-kept, sin-black hair, streaked with gray atop, and a small beard encompassing his upper lip, running thinly around his mouth, towards a goatee chin. His eyes were rumored to be 'as terrifying as the Long Night itself.'
Keyblade: Deathly Waltz ~ an elaborately detailed Keyblade, formed from what seems to be a dark, twisted metal - similar to obsidian, yet strong enough to parry the fiercest blows. On the side opposite the prongs, the edge is razor-sharp. The hilt is wrapped in velvet, with etched runes encircling the grip, and glow a muted blue. The keychain is two miniature obsidian blades clashing together.
Physical and Magic Skills: Unlike the others who were later known as 'the Walkers Amongst the Void,' Marquis displayed no extensive use of Magic. Later reports show his proficiency with politics in the early Era of Construction, possibly bringing revelations to light that he was skilled at manipulating the minds of others (Mind-Bending), and possessed a great capacity of Telekinetic prowess, to say nothing of his proficiency at blade work.
The various battles Marquis oversaw during this Era mark his skill as a strategist and leader towards his troops - even when his lines were overrun, the enemy managing to raid his entire supply cache, it all seemed to be part of larger plans. Accounts of victorious raiders ended in sublime tragedy, as they later discovered to have devoured poisoned food. In one instance, being the Siege of Mon'thal - the entire city itself surrounded by the enemy, with Marquis heading the defense - the main gates to Mon'thal were opened at dawn, and the soldiers that entered found the city completely barren. Moments later, the defenders of the city from the night before appeared on the besieging army's eastern flank - seemingly out of nowhere, with their blades already doused in blood.
Later in life, he worked in conjunction with Kulen Thell Neraen in the design of various artifacts, namely the Orbs of Sight (possible Clairvoyant abilities, or was de Requiescat simply fascinated by shiny globes?), a sort of protection device crafted to nullify elemental forces, cantrips or natural ones (Nullification of Evocative Magics) and a single spell was placed in the Master's Text at the Tower of Light, later found to push any sort of physical objects or devices away from the user.
Since the razing of the Tower of Light, and the glassing of Serlan'tolun, all knowledge of this person is deemed unreliable unless otherwise proven with documentable evidence.
Biography: “You would question me, you sniveling little runt of the litter? Very well:
“From the time we awoke in that bloody darkness, it was clear Quel’loyen’s plan had gone awry, and the Void had been unleashed upon the World. Of the thousands that had lived in the capital of the Realm, only us five lived – we found later that the outlying towns and such had managed to survive, losing four out of every five from the after-effects of the Opening.
Eventually, it became clear our World was under siege from Those of the Void – so we eradicated everything that moved, until one day, we came across a particular orb. Young Kulen, being the one who knew most of bloody orbs and their powers, was the first to inspect it, and found nothing.
Quel’loyen started his holier-than-thou dribble, so I grabbed the orb – and then what appeared to be the Light picked me up, and planted me here, on these godforsaken isles, for some deranged purpose. Not to mention this Blade of Keys I was given during my unwanted travel to here.
Bugger your precious Light – it took Clicker from me and gave me this Keyblade."
Home World: Erga’esir
