I have a question. What about using Source Film Maker for the opening and closing videos? I don't know much about it, but I imagine it'd be similar to G-Mod, where you can import your own models and stuff.
Unity doesn't support videos. There's an alternate method for videos that involves a specific script that creates the illusion of a video being played.
There's no point in using G-Mod or Source Film Maker or any of that stuff. That stuff is meant for people who don't actually 3D model.
Every single 3D modeling program is also a video editing program. There's no point in rendering videos in some other program when the video can just be made in Blender, 3DS Max, Maya, Cheetah, etc.
I made three tutorial videos going over modeling, texturing, rigging, and animating. I used the Batsting model as an example. Though the videos are too large to upload so I need to mess around with them for a little bit.
The videos are silent so I need to add annotations.
I figured since the model was already made, I'd upload it.
Batsting.
Here's the texture.
You can make it smaller in Unity once you export it. So you don't really need to model them to a certain height, but Arkrend told me he just prefers to because it's one of those things that just bugs him I guess lol
Well technically, the armature needs to be the exact same size as the mesh. I know that if my armature is scaled to 1, but my mesh is scaled to 10, the incorrect scale will make the mesh look very odd.
I've never tested it in Unity, but I'll check to see if there are any issues.
