^What was strategic about KH1? I button mashed through KH1. Every boss in the main story had the same strategy. Bash to death.

it doesn't really matter... if you can't get enough from the gameplay. there are ways to make it even harder or play it differently. playing at low levels, no accessories, no items, playing as a magician, etc.

i tried beating kingdom hearts ii at the lowest level possible and i got to about level 38. i also play sora as a magician after when i beat the game because i needed to know more about the upgrades, what can increase my magic, and such.

thought kh1 was a lot harder. possibly because everything literally had to be done manually by YOU and not by reaction commands or abilities.

i died hell of a lot more in kh1 than i did in kh2...i mean, in my first time playing through kh2, i pwned xaldin without dying once (no mickey, no restart, etc)..i thought he was a bit of a joke actually. whereas in kh1, riku/xehanort pissed me off so much every time i died (i'd come REALLLY close to killing him, then i'd die. then i'd have to sit through about 10 minutes of cutscenes until i could fight him again).

uhh there is no castle oblivion in either kh1 or kh2...

that's the kh: com (or its remake)...

well sephiroth is harder in kh1. couse you can't ariel doge to him when he is doing his "heartless angel" attack.it hits every time. and when he comes down he hits me directly!

uhh u have superglide or dodge roll in kh1...and he doesn't fly in kh1, he just stands still while he casts Sin Harvest.

he only floats in air in kh2...

Kh1 is about 100 times harder on hardest difficulty than kh2 on its hardest. I beat kh2 hardest difficulty without even really trying and in kh1 It was really difficult and as other people have said sephiroth is a ton harder in kh1. Kh1 is actually a really hard game if you play it on hard while kh2, my lil 6 year old cuz could beat it on the hardest difficulty.

Muffin Man explained it perfectly. What is it about KH2 do you find that's harder than Kingdom Hearts 1? With the Drive Forms, the new abilities, and with Reflect Magic, it defeats the purpose of having Party Members except for the Organization Boss Battles. KH1 was at least challenging.

Sephiroth is different in Kingdom Hears 2 because you need to max out your forms to beat certain forms of his. Let's not forget that the battle field you fought Sephiroth in KH1 was smaller than KH2's Battle Field.

Expert Mode was a challenge(and damn sure hard) whereas Proud Mode barely gave me a run for my money.

Not really, evasion and use of abilities was needed alot more in KH1 than 2

That's nice. I personally used the chaotic bashing method. Any game can get technical if you want it to be. And it sounds like you got incredibly technical with KH1.

I still can't beat Sephiroth on proud mode. I really hate that silver haired b******.

Uhh, I don't think the consensus is that KH1 is 'uber hard', I think it's that KH2 is 'ridiculously easy'

Agreed. KH2 was much easier 4 me. It may have partially been due to the fact that I was more of an experienced gamer by the time I played KH2 and I actually knew wat I was doing...but KH1 proved more of a challenge. And even if I were at the same experience level 4 both games, they would have to be equally matched, b/c there is no way in heck I believe that KH2 was harder (no offense 2 ne1)

Uh, this thread has been dead for a while. There was no reason to revive it. Anyway, Muffin said what I thought. Three months ago.

KH: Was hard, I couldn't live w/o the strategy guide. and I didn't even bother to fight sephiroth [finished at level 64

KH2: Was ridiculously easy, and you needed was the triangle, x, and R1 button and that's it.
