Is Mars going to be close to Earth tonight?

So i heard a rumor that mars will come reaall close to earth and we can see it without a telescope. Just like moon. Is it true or fake????

Pretty sure it's a lie. Because, last year Mars was supposed to be the closest it has been in 15 yrs. So I doubt that it's true...

I heard that was a hoax. Apparently Mars comes close to Earth every two years or so.
There's no way that Mars would be as big as the moon to the naked eye. You'd have to have a telescope.

Yep, like peeps have said, it's a hoax.
Saw it on the news this morning that it was and won't be as close as it was whenever for the next 200 something years.

Just gonna have to stick to the telescope and poking around at the sky.

He never clarified clearly whether or not he still thought the size would be that large, just agreed that you could see it with the naked eye. You can go ahead and assume that I'm being daft or cocky. =_=;

I've gotten the email before, and it makes it sound like the planet would seem to be the size of the moon. It's not an exaggeration, but a mistake.

Okay, I'm sorry if I came off as ridiculously puffed up.
I couldn't tell if he was actually exaggerating or not. As I've said, the actual hoax made it sound as if Mars would look like the size of the moon. Thus, I couldn't tell if he knew that wasn't true or not.

I'm not going to try to defend myself against you anymore. :/ You're obviously going to stick to the assumption that I'm being a cocky know-it-all.
