Another clue about western civilization and its inferiority is the recognition of the "moe" aspect of Eastern culture. Easterners know, from one Easterner to the next, moe is a tool for evanescent thinking. "Moe" is not just a genre, but something that unites, brings families and enemies together under the same roof, breaking cultural barriers and taboos. This method has been used to many eons but gone also unseen by Eastern history books and remains as one of the most unexplored realms of high class culture, beyond pizza hut delivery and bukkake statuettes.
We can all learn something from "moe." When looked at more closely, it can penetrate the heart and stir up self-meaning and harbor self-esteem. It is a technique of relaxing and envigorating at the same time. Not only is it therapy, it is an irreplacable experience.
There have been instances where moe has shown face outside of Nippon, purveyed in a special, set-aside method known as the form of anime. Anime is the vessel of moe, shown in our Onegai Teacher, Chobits, Ah My Goddess and so on. Most cannot grasp the ignition of revelatory acknowledgement of moe. Subtle it may be, but is a spontaneous fascination, arousal, and acceptance of life and life's pains. There are americanized versions of moe, seen in our Powerpuff Girls and My Life as a Teenage Robot. They failed to replicate moe but traces of it is quite apparent.
