San Fransokyo’s plot, about the original Baymax being brought back, corrupted by darkness, is a fine story. But I believe “Dark Baymax†should have been completely destroyed. Having old Baymax back by the end not only took away the emotional punch of the movie, but the way Hiro treats both Baymax’s as if they’re two distinct entities just makes Baymax as a character feel less special. In the movie, Baymax’s “conciousness†was inside his memory chip, which Hiro put into a new body. It wasn’t a case of one Baymax dying with a copy taking his place, it was basically a brain transplant. And I wish KH3 stuck to that idea.
