Stephen was sitting in his room, listening to music on his iPhone while reading the newest issue of Game Informer magazine. He didn't really care that the new year was coming around in just one hour. He was just glad that he had another week off from school. Stephen felt as if New Years Day was one of the most overrated holidays the world had ever celebrated. His parents had a different view of the holiday, though. They were busy getting ready to head to their friend's house for a New Years party. Right before they left, his mother knocked on his bedroom door and entered.

"Sweetheart? Your father and I are getting ready to leave. There's a plate of food for you in the microwave if you get hungry." his mother said.

Stephen paused his iPhone and removed the headphones from his ears. He looked up to his mom and replied, "Okay, mom. Have fun. But not too much fun. You remember what happened the last time you guys came home drunk out of your minds."

Stephen and his mother laughed. He was referring to her current pregnancy with Stephen's future brother or sister, an accident that she and her husband made when they both came home drunk one night from a party. His mother and father said goodbye, and they headed out the door. Stephen put his headphones back in his ears and started listening to his music again. He figured the next few hours would be very boring for him, but he was oh so wrong.

He had no idea that on January 1st, 2018 at 12:01 AM EST, his life would change forever.

December 31, 2017. 9:12 PM MST. Salt Lake City, Utah.

Karina Sandoval was sitting at the computer in her room. She was viewing more articles about the Digital World, a place where she hopes to venture to one day. Her parents were throwing a New Years party, and they had no idea that she was still up this late at night. She didn't want to go outside her room; her parents would probably be mad at her for being up so late. But Karina couldn't help it. She wanted to stay up to see how crazy the hype for New Years Day was.

Her golden retriever dog was sitting next to her, whining.

"Aw, are you hungry, Mason? Come on, let's get you some food." she whispered. Karina rose from her computer chair and walked over to her closet, getting a bag of dog food out of it. She poured some of the food into Mason's bowl, and the dog began eating. She quickly went back to her computer, reading more articles about the Digital World. She had know idea that her dream would come sooner rather than later.

December 31, 2017. 11:30 PM EST. Brooklyn, New York City, New York.


Jasmine Williams was excited. She had the house all to herself. Her mother was working an overtime shift, and her father was on a business trip to Germany. Finally, Jasmine could experience New Years Day without the bickering of her parents telling her to go sleep. She was dressed in a white t-shirt, with a yellow short-sleeve top over that. On her head was a yellow fashion beret. Her capri pants were white, and she had on yellow gym shoes. The way she was dressed would make one think that she was going somewhere, but she was really only dressed up so she could feel like she was going to an actual party.

"I wonder what's going on in the world of the internet." she said.

Jasmine went over to her computer and checked her Facebook page. Nothing of major interest was happening on there. Then, something popped in her mind. She decided to check the internet for anything referring to the "Digital World." She couldn't help but find out if her mother's stories were true or not. It didn't matter if she found any articles or not, because she would learn for herself that the Digital World actually exists in a matter of minutes.

Meanwhile, in the Digital World...


Royal Knights Alphamon and Magnamon were leading a squad of Ultimate and Mega-level Digimon to a Digimon village where the forces of the Demon Lords were attacking. As soon as they reached the village, a few of the Ultimate-level Digimon began to evacuate the civilian Digimon out of the village and into a safe location. The rest of the squad began fighting the Demon Lords' forces. Alphamon spotted Dynasmon, a former Royal Knight. He rushed right towards him, engaging his former friend in battle.

"Why did you do it, Dynasmon!? Why did you betray the Harmonious Ones!?!" Alphamon asked in anger.

Dynasmon laughed and replied, "You REALLY think the Sovereigns are so high and mighty, DON'T YOU?" Dynasmon then unleashed his DNA Disintegrator attack, but Alphamon reflected it with his Holy Sword.

"The Harmonious Ones gave you a reason to live! You are supposed to be PROTECTING the Digital World, not DESTROYING it!" Alphamon yelled, throwing a swift swing of his sword at Dynasmon. It impacted on Dynasmon, throwing him back several feet.

"Ha! I side with whoever has power. My new masters have the power now. And soon, their power will spread throughout the entire Digital World." Dynasmon replied.

Alphamon could not stand to hear what his former friend was saying. His grew even angrier, and the Royal Knight began to put more ferociousness into his attacks. Meanwhile, Magnamon was engaged in battle against Crusadermon, Dynasmon's fierce follower and another former member of the Royal Knights. Crusadermon was faster than Magnamon, who couldn't keep up with her attacks. One minute, he was getting hit by her Spiral Masquerade attack, the next minute by her Fist of Athena attack. Alphamon noticed that his fellow comrade was taking quite the beating, so he went over to assist him while a WarGreymon distracted Dynasmon.

"What's the matter, Magnamon? Can't keep up? Where's that great defensive power of yours?" Crusadermon said, intimidating Magnamon.

Mangamon coughed, and then tried to unleash one of his attacks on Crusadermon, "Magna Blast!" But the attack missed Crusadermon, and it hit a SaberLeomon. Crusadermon continued to pound Magnamon, until Alphamon stepped in. He grabbed her by the head and began to speak to her.

"Crusadermon, this ends NOW!" Alphamon proclaimed.

Crusadermon laughed in reply and said, "You're right....it does."

Suddenly, an attack hit Alphamon in the back. The attack was too much for him, and he fell to the ground, releasing Crusadermon. Mangamon looked to see who unleashed this attack on Alphamon, and it was none other than Dynasmon. Dynasmon's Breath of Wyvern finished off Alphamon, who had been hit by too many attacks. Alphamon turned over to Mangamon, realizing that this was the end for him. With his dying breath, he said to Magnamon,

"Magnamon....run. Run..." Alphamon then turned into data, and his data flew into the sky.

Magnamon was in complete shock. The Digimon he looked up to the most was no more, and the forces of the Seven Great Demon Lords had won this battle.

"Retreat! Fall back! Fall back now!" Magnamon yelled.

All of the forces of the Sovereigns retreated, and the Demon Lords' forces did nothing to stop them. They knew there was nothing more the Sovereign forces could do. Dynasmon and Crusadermon let out menacing laughs as they watched their enemies retreat.

This was truly a sad day for the Digimon Sovereigns and their allies.

Hopefully, the arrival of the DigiDestined will keep Alphamon's death from going in vain. But will their arrival be too late?

 

[Nyx Winters]

Roy and a couple of his friends were laying on the top of his house's roof "I wonder if the new year will be any better " he sighed as he drank some more Pepsi from the can "dude stop being so serious loosen up" replied his long time best friend Jace "what are you talking about i'm always loose i was just momentarily reflecting on the past year" replied Roy elbowing Jace guys stop moving i was comfortable whined jace's girlfriend Fraya as she finished talking Roy's girlfriend Alana layed down on his chest her hands rapped around his four-pack "hmm Fraya's right you guys are comfortable" muttered Alana shyly.

"Not that i'm not enjoying this but my dad will be back in half an hour apparently he wants to spend the first moment of the new year with me hmph probably wasted or something but i'll have the help the old man out or whatever" so as the four teens got down from the roof they had to leave for the homes one by one till roy was alone.

Roy glanced over to his clock to see the time 11:30 he sighed as he walked back onto the roof to watch the stars he looked away as he turned on his black and white swirl iphone flipping though the albums till he came to a good song and started listening to his music.

Gabriel sat back in his computer chair while holding his PSP, "Just a few more seconds,"Gabriel had decided to jail-brake his playstation portable, so that it would make it easier to operate his 'hacked' games. Though it was hard for him to do this because of all of the partying next door. His neighbors (along with their kids) had a little too much to drink and he could tell there was going to be some trouble later on between the parents.

Gabriel watched closely as the bar -that stated the download rate- started to fill up, "There! I can't believe that now I can play any game that was ever made right on this PSP," after he said those words the screen started to pixelize. And then it turned black, "Gosh darnit, I still need more memory;" Gabriel had already been storing twenty six computer loads of storage on his memory card. After doing the math Gabriel announced "What? How can I only have 1/100,000,000,000,000th data needed. I knew I should of done the math before, now it's going to take me forever."

 

[Lone]

December 31, 2017. 12:58 PM. St. Maria Academy

Clementine sat on her bed in her room located in the middle school dorm. Students dress in beautiful dresses where hurrying down the hall. Tonight the night of New Years Eve was the annual Fantasy Cake Ball. On the other side of the room her friend Ella was putting on a floral blue dress. "Come on Clem we need to get to the ballroom so we can present our cake we made." said Ella putting on her shoes. The truth was was that Clementine was no where near being ready to go to the ball. She was wearing a pair of blue sweat pants and a white shirt under a green sweat jacket.

She was IMing her parents on a computer sitting on a desk near the window, who where spending New Years with her aunt, uncle and grandparents. All had said hello and asked her how she was doing. Ella gave her an angry look and stepped into the hallway only to be swept away by a group of passing girls. Clementine knew she needed to get down to the ball but she wanted to spend as much time with her parents as she could before making her way down. The room was quiet and rather dark even though there was a lamp on. Clementine opened the window, a cold winter breeze swept into the room. Clementine zipped up her jacket and sat down at a chair infront of the window.

A few acres away from the dorm the ballroom was lite up with brilliant yellow light, the garden around it where decorated with still hanging christmas lights. An IM from her mom came in with a small chime. Clementine answered her back.

 

[Wyvern]

Leon leaned himself against a wall while he secretly watched people screaming in joy for it was only 10 minutes left until 2018. He remembered the time when he was still celebrating it with his parents, just a year before his mother's death. He had looked away for a few seconds before he slowly returned back to his hideout. In his hideout, Leon saw the last stolen thing which he did not have time to check out a few hours ago: a school bag. Unfortunately for him, the other stolen things he had checked out were not enough to buy the drugs he usually consumed. So he opened the bag and threw away all things which he thought to be useless from it such as books, papers, and a pencil box. Finally Leon found a wallet inside the bag and quickly put the money from it in his pocket. However, there was still one more thing inside and it suddenly shone very bright. Leon recognized it to be an IPhone at first even though he had never seen an IPhone shone so bright before. "Ten! Nine!..." The people outside started counting down to New Year. "Eight! Seven!.." The IPhone shone brighter and brighter as the people kept counting down. "Six! Five!..." He began to worry of what was going to happen. "Four! Three!.." The IPhone kept shining, following the countdown. "Two! One!.." When the countdown reached to zero, everything would change.

 

[Lord of Chaos]

Nikolai always wondered why it rained so much in London.

It was the usually stop routine. His father had come to the city to deliver some reports to part of his chain of command, and his mother was off doing ambassador work. He had opted to stay back at their suite instead of going on such an "exciting" adventure with one of his parents. It wasn't that he didn't love them, or that he was angry, Nikolai just rarely saw a point in how it could help him on his endeavors. What really mattered at the moment was trying to figure out the code he had received on his phone.

New Years was about to pass, or so he assumed. His parents celebrated it on American time rather than any other time in the world. He often thought that was because of their allegiance and love of the country. Nikolai had found somethings to be rather enjoyable there, especially Seattle and Boston, but otherwise the country held little importance to him. The only country that really mattered at the moment was the one that peaked his curiosity -- Japan. He wasn't an Otaku or anything, but the culture, it was so amazing and he really wanted to partake in it. For now though, only his phone mattered. He sipped a glass of wine (Nikolai was notorious for sneaking drinks of alcohol and liquors when his parents were not around) as he worked. He was no technophile, but he did know his way around a few devices, mainly what he had picked up from his father.

"How does this damn... er... phone thing... I don't understand!"

He had been trying all sorts of random codes, having the phone hooked up to his father's laptop. The problem was, he couldn't figure out the number to text back to -- there had been no receipt of it or memory in his phone. He knew it probably had something to do with the channel trace that the message was relayed through. His computer was running through codes and numbers like a Marathon Runner at the Olympics. He just sat there and sipped the wine.

"Here we are at Time Square in New York City! The countdown has just begun! Nine... eight... seven..."

Nikolai "hmphed" at the countdown on the television inside of the suite. He was on the balcony, underneath a canopy. It was cool enough to leave the door open and not worry about running up their bill. He looked out to the street for a second, only to be brought back to the laptop -- a green number was blinking on the screen. He sat down the glass quickly and read over it, smiling. It was the number! He had finally found it, or rather, the laptop had. He quickly grabbed his phone while it was still connected and punched in the number.

"Three...Two!..."

Nikolai smiled as he looked at the number. "One."

He pressed enter.

Nikolai always wanted a dog...

Stephen was still listening to music on his iPhone, bored out of his mind. He tried to go to sleep, but something was not letting him. To kill his boredom, he decided to turn on his television and tune into Channel 7, ABC. The channel was live at Times Square, where the annual Times Square Ball was about to begin it's descent to mark the coming of the New Year. Though he hated the holiday, Stephen just loved laughing at the faces of the people who were ecstatic about it. He saw the news reporter, Anne Andrews, talking to the numerous people that were waiting to begin the countdown. And finally, it did. The crowed roared in excitement.

Ten! Nine! Eight! Seven! Six! Five! Four! THREE! TWO!....

"One..." Stephen sarcastically said in unison with the rest of the world. He could hear the screams of his neighbors, as well as the people on the TV. He had a glass of sparkling cider in his hand, his own way of 'celebrating' 2018, "Well, another year gone, anoth-"

Stephen awkwardly stopped. Next to him, he noticed that something was shining greatly. He realized that it was his iPhone. This made him feel immensely weird. Why would his iPhone be shining like this? Somehow, it lifted itself up like magic and stopped once it reached face height with Stephen. The shine of the light grew even greater, and Stephen backed away and shielded his eyes, hoping to not be blinded by this. Seconds later, the shining stopped. He slowly opened his eyes, still not convinced that the light was completely gone. Once his eyes were fully opened, he noticed that his iPhone had changed. It was now stored in a red case and looked more technologically advanced.

Slowly, Stephen walked towards what he still thought was his iPhone. He then slowly moved his hand towards this device, and grabbed it. But as soon as did, he felt a shock move through his body. Then, an apparent hole in the ceiling appeared above him. Through it, he could see a desert. That couldn't be right, though. It was supposed to be three degrees below zero. Suddenly, he felt his body lift off the floor, and move closer to the hole. He struggled and struggled to set his body back on the floor, but it was of no use. Stephen's body then ZIPPED into the hole at fast speeds, and he began to scream at the top of his lungs.

Where was he going?

"Three! TWO! ONE! HAPPY NEW YEAR!" Karina yelled. Her parents could not hear her, because the rest of their guests were just as loud as her. She was so excited. Her first time staying up and ushering in the New Year. But her first time may as well have been her last. As soon as she finished yelling Happy New Year, a great light shined from her computer screen. The light caused something to digitize from her computer. It looked like some sort of...digital device. To Karina, it looked like an iPod Touch with a pink case, only more advanced-looking.

She was deeply frightened, but somehow worked up the courage to grab it. This may have been the best decision she ever made in her life, or the deadliest mistake. As soon as Karine grabbed the device, her body lifted off the ground, and she noticed that a large hole in her ceiling had appeared. She was moving closer and closer towards this hole. Then, her body moved at a very high speed into the hole. She was being transported somewhere. But just where, exactly?

Karina, being terribly frightened, felt as if she was about to die.

Jasmine was in her house's living room, watching the news. The news channel was reporting live from Manhattan, the borough that she wished her family lived in. The bright lights of Time Square and the joyous screams of the New Yorkers amazed her. As soon as the ball dropped, Jasmine yelled, "Happy New Year!" from the top of her lungs with the rest of New York. But unfortunately, for her, this would probably be the last time she would ever say those three words. A deep, immense light shined from the middle of her room. The light was even brighter than the lights from Times Square.

Jasmine nearly fell out of her window due to the light's brightness. But she was able to catch herself and bounce back into her room. By then, the light had stopped shining, and she noticed that her iPod Touch was floating in mid-air. But this wasn't the same iPod she had. This new device had a yellow case on it and looked more polished than her iPod. She moved towards the device and grabbed it. Immediately after grabbing it, her body was no longer on the ground. It was moving closer to a hole in her ceiling. Through the hole, a desert could be seen. This made no sense to her at all.

Suddenly, her body wrapped through the hole at an incredible speed, and she screamed from the top of her lungs. Minutes later, she fell to the ground, and caught a glimpse of two other kids next to her. She couldn't see them clearly, though. The raging sandstorm made it virtually impossible to see anything clearly. But she could see that one kid was a boy, dressed in red and black. The other kid was a girl, and she had on a pink dress. Jasmine was so confused. This was way too much for her to take in. Just what in the world was going on?

All this confusion went to her head, and she passed out, hitting the ground.

 

[Lord of Chaos]

At first, nothing happened.

Of course, that was the response he was expecting. Text messages were never completely instant. He couldn't believe that be generating codes of data using the same structure as those found in the mysterious Digital Events he had finally cracked into it, and sent a response message of binary. Perhaps someone's computer had merely sent him a message somehow, or since it was a prototype phone, maybe it --

Nikolai's attention was broke fast. He noticed the laptop starting to sizzle and pop and the screen was melting away. The phone was glowing brightly, and the intensity was growing quickly. He was in total shock -- had he activated some kind of self destruct system in his father's computer? His parents were going to be so mad at him. He had to do something fast though before the laptop blew up, so he responded to the first thing that came to mind.

He picked up the computer and tossed it over the balcony. It wasn't until it had happened that he realized his phone went with it. He yelped and watched the phone disappear over the side, and before logic could set in, he bolted over the side after it... eight stories up. Nikolai succeeded in grabbing his phone -- that wasn't an issue. However, now he was quickly plummeting to his death. As he screamed, his gaze became enraptured by the phone... Because it was no longer the strange prototype, but a slightly more sleek and unique design. Half of it was black, half of it was white. He closed his eyes wondering what it all meant while he had just seconds left to live. The ground came closer, and closer...

But he never went splat.

Nikolai could feel a sandstorm picking up around him, and he gasped from the heat, after being in the cold and rainy weather for so long. He pulled out a pair of sunglasses that he normally kept with him and put them on, trying to at least come to some visual connection. Was he in the Sahara? Mojave? Wherever he was... he saw three others there with him. One of them was passed out, and he couldn't confirm on the other two. He gripped his weird phone device tightly before tucking it into his coat pocket. He crawled over to the passed out girl to see if she was still breathing, and to try and get some answers.

Someone or something was going on, and he was determined to get to the bottom of it.

 

[Lone]

An IM stating that the New Years ball atop the Eiffel tower was about to the end of its destination, with ten seconds to go. Clementine looked out the window all her teachers and classmates where in the ballroom having a great time. Trough a window in the Ballroom she could see the same image her mother was talking about projected on a huge screen. A bell tower stood far in the distance near the main campus. At exactly twelve o'clock it began to ring. Clementine getting up from her chair went over to the dress she had hanging in front of her closet, began to take it off the hanger. Two chimes left, one.

Suddenly the computer behind her began to glow. At first Clementine thought it was going to the screensaver. Then out of nowhere a device that looked like an IPhone appeared standing on her desk, but it was way more advanced and it had a lite purple case on it. Clementine stopped and looked at the strange device that had materialized from the computer. At first she was surprised then gathering herself she reached over and grabbed the device.

Instantly behind her the door to her dorm room closed with a loud bang. Clementine turned towards the door figuring it was a joke her friends where playing on her. A light could be seen around the doors threshold and what looked like sand was blowing in from under. Suddenly the door flew open to reveal a desert on the other side. Clementine scared now began to slowly move away from the door. But when she tried to move her feet instead of going backward she was going forward. Almost as if someone pushed her she went flying towards the opened door and out into the desert. A sandstorm was whiping the air around her. When she hit the ground she looked around her to see four shadows just barely visible through the sand.


Someone was playing a joke on her, but if this was a joke it was a rather good one.

 

[Nyx Winters]

Roy stared at the starts as he heard the screaming of the next door neighbors "stupid father yeah right come back for new years eve why do i still believe you" shouted Roy knocking over a bottle or 2 of beer yes he had got a bit loose 10..9..8..7..6..5..4..3..2..1..0 as the countdown stopped fireworks went off as his iPhone started glowing then he heard his computer sparking before his whole roof flew up into the sky being pulled into a shimmering circle of light "oh hell no" were the last words he shouted before he was pulled tough the circle into what looked like the outskirts of the savanna.

A big stinking bloody desert as Roy looked around he saw that they were many others around him he was confused about this but worse whatever happened had sobered him up "where the hell are we?" asked Roy curiously as he looked at the others weirdly.

 

[Jozi]

Gabriel typed furiously as he tried to update his programs before his parents visited his room to make him watch the New Year's countdown with the rest of his family. "I'm so close."

"Snookims? Your gonna miss the countdown, hurry up. It's starting!" Said his mother;

"Just one.."

"No! You come down here or your grounded from the computer mister!" Then his mother started to countdown from 10 as the large ball fell,

"And done!" Gabriel was finally able to update his library, "Well, I'd better head down," he went to grab his iPhone. As soon as he touch the device he had then disappeared from the room.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!" Yelled Gabriel as he was launched through what seemed like a wormhole made out of light itself. He had kept going until he had fallen onto the soft earth.

 

[Wyvern]

Leon was standing in a very dark place after the incident that had happened to him. Suddenly he heard a voice calling his name. "Leon... Leon..." He looked around but he did not find anyone in that place besides himself. Then a mysterious figure slowly appeared from a distance. Leon wanted to approach that figure but he could not even move his body. "Leon.. Leon..." He started to recognize that voice, which was none other than his father's. "Dad...?" That figure was also happened to be his father who was dying on his bed. "Do not leave me Leon..." His father said. "I am.. sorry... I.." Leon looked down as he said it. "Do not ever leave me..." His father suddenly transformed into a very huge and demonic creature. Leon was a bit shocked and could not believe what he saw. "Take care of me..." The creature immediately flew towards him and opened his mouth, showing its sharp teeth. Leon closed his eyes while regretting what he had done to his father.

 

[Crimson Jazz]

"Stephen? Oh, Stephen. Wake up, lazy!" a young boy's soft voice spoke out.

The sandstorm had died down. Stephen was slowly regaining consciousness. That fall caused his so much pain to his head. He opened his eyes slowly, and noticed that some weird purple creature was sitting on his chest. His eyes widened greatly at the sight of this creature, and he jumped up in fear. Stephen took several steps back away from the creature, which had a big smile on it's face. And even though Stephen was freaked out by this creature, he couldn't help but notice that it was kind of....cute.

"Wha....what the heck are you!?!" Stephen lashed out.

The creature laughed at Stephen and answered him, "My name is Dorimon! I've been waiting a very long time for you, Stephen."

Confusion grew on Stephen's face. He couldn't believe this creature knew his name. He then proceeded to ask, "Wait a minute, just how in the world do you know my name? And what do you mean you've been waiting for me? Where am I?"

"You're in the Digital World, silly! And I know your name because I'm your Digimon partner!" Dorimon replied.

Stephen then asked, "Y-You're a Digimon? And I'm...in the Digital World?"

Stephen couldn't believe it. The videos he had seen all those years ago were true. The Digital World actually exists. He had almost given up faith in this place. He looked around, but could see nothing but desert. Was this all that there was to the DigiWorld? Sand and dust? Maybe this world wasn't as exciting as he thought it would be. Or maybe he just hadn't seen the entire place. Either way, Stephen hoped he could get some clear answers as to why he was actually there. He could feel another sandstorm brewing up. He put on his goggles, using them to shield his eyes. As he put them on, he looked around again, and say a little girl walking towards him.

"Excuse me, can you help us? We seem to be lost." Karina politely asked. Next to her was some sort of chick. It had no legs, with small wings, red eyebrows, and a long strand of red hair. Stephen had to asked what this creature was.

"Um, little girl? You do know there's a chicken with no legs next to you, right?"

"Uh? Oh, you mean Chicchimon. He's my Digimon partner! My name's Karina, what's yours?"

Stephen remained quite for a moment, but realized he couldn't be rude to the girl, "My name is Stephen. And this is...Dorimon?"

"That's right! Nice to meet you, Karina!" Dorimon said.

Karina let out a giggle and replied, "Nice to meet you, too, Dorimon." She then began to pet Dorimon.

Karina acted as if she knew where she was. She pretty much did. She has known about the existence of the Digital World for a very long time. Meanwhile, a few feet away from the four of them, Jasmine was still unconscious, but she quickly started to wake up. Her body was trembling, and she was in a complete state of shock. As she opened her eyes, she noticed that a blob-like creature was standing over her. She screamed in fear and backed away from it, completely freaked out by the way it looked. Stephen, Karina, Dorimon, and Chicchimon heard her screaming and ran towards her, hoping to help.

"What...is that thing!?!" Jasmine asked, pointing her finger at the creature.

Chicchimon had answered her, "That's Moonmon. She's a bit shy, but that's only because she likes you!"

Moonmon began to cry. She didn't like that Jasmine, her partner, was weirded out by her appearance. Suddenly, Jasmine had a change of heart; she didn't like to see someone shedding tears. Jasmine stood up and walked over to Moonmon and picked her up, holding her in her hands. She looked directly into Moonmon's eyes and said, "There, there, now. Don't cry. I didn't mean to scare you or anything."

"Y-You didn't?" Moonmon muttered.

Giggling, Jasmine replied to Moonmon, "No, of course not! I wouldn't have freaked out if I didn't realize how darn cute you were!"

While Jasmine and Moonmon were having their little conversation, Stephen couldn't help but noticed that there were five other individuals in the desert with them. They, however, were still knocked out. He could see other Digimon waiting for them to wake up. He could also feel the sandstorm working up. They all had to get out of there fast. But again, it couldn't escape Stephen's mind as to WHY all of them were there in the first place.

Maybe someone, or something, would come along and explain all this to them.

 

[Lord of Chaos]

Nikolai groaned a bit.

He had crawled over to the passed out girl to try and wake her up. Immediately afterward he somehow was knocked unconscious, or at least, he now had a vast headache. It didn't feel like he had let go of reality, but then again, maybe someone or something hit him. He didn't know why someone would do such a thing, but like everything else, he planned to get answers really quick. He slowly sat up and rubbed his head, adjusting his headphones so that they were in the proper place. It was only then that he noticed he was no longer alone, and something had crawled into his lap.

"Hi!"

Nikolai looked down at what appeared to be a strange, fluffy, dog-like creature. He wasn't afraid of it but didn't exactly know if he could trust it. He reached out and poked it lightly with a finger and it seemed to giggle a little.

"That tickles! Cut it out, Nikolai!"

He scratched his chin and looked around at the others. They had all received some kind of creature similar to his in general makeup but different in structure. He heard mention of the Digital World and it all slowly fell into place. They were in the Digital World (obviously) and these were Digimon (two for two, aren't you Nikolai?). He had heard a term for people like them... people who were given Digimon Partners. If only he could remember what it was...

"You always wanted a dog, right Nikolai? I'm Xiaomon! Though I may be round and cuddly, I can pop an opponent easily with my Tsumo attack."

Nikolai snorted as he stood up. He looked at the creature in his arms and shook his head. "There's no way you could possibly fight. You look like a ball of cotton with taffy attached to you in random pieces."

Apparently Xiaomon didn't like that comment. He growled and bit Nikolai, who aptly dropped him and Nikolai smiled that "no worries" smile at the dog. "Look... you... wait... I remember!"

He snapped his fingers and looked around. "Digi-Destined! That's what they were called! We're Digi-Destined."

Xiaomon nodded and nuzzled his head against Nikolai's leg. Nikolai sighed and reached down, petting the dog before looking around at the others, his face suddenly serious again. "Alright... which one of you did this, or caused this to happen? I want answers, now."

 

[Nyx Winters]

"Yawn "looking around Roy saw a group of people some awake some not and a big eared purple ball staring at him wait!! What "Your awake yay!" said the purple thing "what the hell are you"shouted Roy backing away form the purple ball "i'm your digimon that stands for digital monster my names pagumon and i'm you partner replied Pagumon smiling "okey this isn't weird at all okey c'mon lets go say to the other randoms people" suggested Roy as Pagumon jumped on to head "hey guys im Roy and this (pointing above his head) is my partner Pagumon" introduced Roy with a smile and "i'd say those big hovering figues coming from the east and west" replied Pagumon pointing his ears at the huge figures coming towards their little circle.

 

[Lone]

"Clementine time to wake up." said a voice above Clementines head.

Clementine could feel a something bouncing on her head. Clementine reached up to see if her friend was trying to wake her up. When her hands wrapped around something soft and warm she stopped. Suddenly she tossed the strange thing onto the ground and bolted upright. Clementine was looking into the eyes of a pink creature. Clementine began to scream but cut it short when she realized people she had never met where only a few yards away from where she was. The little pink creature looked up at her with surprise.

"Whats wrong Clementine you look like you've seen a Bakemon." said the strange creature. "Um I don't mean to be rude, but how do you know my name." asked Clementine looking again surprised.

"I know your name because I have been looking forward to this moment for a long time, my name is Koromon." said Koromon. "Um its nice to meet you Koromon but what exactly are you." asked Clementine looking hard at Koromon. "Im a Digimon and this is the Digital World, Welcome." said Koromon with a smile. Clementine reached down and picked up Koromon. "Thank you Im glad to be here, wherever the Digital World is." said Clementine. She began to walk towards the other people looking hopeful they knew what was going on.

 

[Jozi]

Gabriel slowly came into consciousness, though his eyes were still closed & he was pretty much half-asleep at the very same time. Though it would be impossible for him to fall asleep because of the wait he could feel on his chest, "Settle down Chester, you can have your Kitten Kibbles in a few minutes. Chester, Chester, Chester! Why... are you bouncing on me?"

"Who's Chester? Am I going to meat him soon? I hope he isn't mean, I don't like mean Digimon. Or is he Human? I've never even met a Human before, except for all of you people," said the blob.

"Other people," He looked around to see many more unconscious people laying around him. He then realized that he had no idea what was bouncing on his chest, he looked down and saw a small green blob, with a horn: "Ahhh! Monster," he got up and was about to squish the thing.

"I'm not a monster, I'm Gummymon. Or am I a monster," the being known as Gummymon started to look sad.

Gabriel felt sympathy for the blob, "Oh... No, no, no, your not a monster...... Your-"

"Oh boy that's great! Though I don't even know what a monster is really,"

Then Gummymon had began telling Gabriel who he [the Digimon], was & where is location was also.

 

[Wyvern]

Leon suddenly opened his eyes and he realized that it was just a nightmare. Then he woke up and looked around him. "What the hell..?" He did not know that he was no longer in the world he knew. So he immediately ran away to find a way back to his hideout, unconciously leaving the other DigiDestineds. Meanwhile, someone or something was following him from a distance. It made a weird voice as it kept following Leon.

Alright... which one of you did this, or caused this to happen? I want answers, now.

Hey, guys. I'm Roy, and this is my partner Pagumon.

Stephen saw three people walk over to him, Karina, Jasmine, and their Digimon. He heard the boy with a dog-like Digimon question the three of them, thinking they knew why they were in the Digital World. Stephen could do nothing but shake his head. This made no sense whatsoever. What was their main purpose for being here? Were they just meant to die in the desert they were in? Highly unlikely.

"Look, none of us know why were here. Why don't we ju-"

Before he could finish his sentence, Stephen and the others heard an evil, maniacal laugh. The ground began to shake vigorously, and the kids all fell over to the ground. A shadow began to circle around them, still letting out an evil laugh. After circling around them four times, it revealed itself, and it was none other than a Digimon. A rather evil, wizard-like Digimon.

The evil Digimon spoke to the children, Welcome, children.

"W-Who are you?" Karina asked with a bit of fear in her voice, clutching a frightened Chicchimon.

The evil Digimon moved closer to Karina. He could sense the goodness in her heart shining victoriously. But he could also sense the great fear in her. This evil Digimon tried to touch her with the staff he was wielding, but something stopped him.

Back away from them, Barbamon! said a blue dragon-like Digimon, appearing out of nowhere.

Ah...Azulongmon. You are certainly far away from the safety of your headquarters.

I could not allow you to sway our saviors with your schemes, replied the Digimon named Azulongmon. He then turned to the kids and tried to plead with them, Pelase, children. You MUST come with me. I can take you to a safe place.

Now, why would they go with someone who wishes to bring harm to this world? Barbamon asked.

Azulongmon turned to Barbamon and lashed out, YOU and your fellow Demon Lords are the ones who wish to bring harm to our peaceful planet! And now you are trying corrode it's saviors!?! Is there no low you'll sink to?

Children, children. Don't let this old Digimon's lies corrupt your thinking. My... friends and I are simply trying to better this world. And in order to better it, sacrifices must be made. said Barbamon, still trying to use his cunning manipulation skills on the kids.

Please, don't believe his nonsense.

Why don't we let them decide what they want to do? Barbamon suggested.

Azulongmon, as much as he did not like this, knew that Barbamon was right. The kids had to decide for themselves on what they wanted to do; save the Digital World, or conquer it. He looked at them, hoping they would make the right decision. But he knew there was nothing he could do if they decided to work for evil. Stephen had a face of bravery on him. His sense of justice was strong, and he could tell that Barbamon was only trying to deceive them. The same went for Jasmine. She had a natural talent for sensing the good and evil without someone, and she could sense that Barbamon had no type of good within him.

"My parents raised me to be a man of justice. And there's no justice in you." Stephen said to Barbamon. He stood next to Azulongmon, and Dorimon quickly followed behind him.

Jasmine, with Moonmon in her hands, was the second to stand up to the evil Barbamon, "You're evil. I could tell as soon as you showed up. I could never join forces with someone like you, or your friends."

Karina saw the bravery that Stephen and Jasmine displayed against Barbamon. This impressed her greatly, and she wanted to be like them, "Stephen and Jasmine are right. I'm going with them and Azulongmon."

Azulongmon was happy that some of the kids didn't join Barbamon. He could only hope that the rest of the kids sided with him.

 

[Wyvern]

After Leon had run several miles away, he found out that the place was even weirder and creepier than his previous location. Then he clenched his teeth and punched a decayed tree besides him. Suddenly, a dart pierced through his shoulder from behind. Leon screamed in pain when he attempted to remove the dart from his shoulder. When he looked back, a small bat-like creature floated on the sky while laughing at him.

DigiAnalyzer:

DemiDevimon
A Rookie Level Evil Digimon who resembles a bat. He likes to play spiteful tricks. His special attack is his Demi Dart which posioned his opponent.

"Sorry, but we are very starving now. So I guess you will not mind being our lunch, puny human!" Leon was about to attack that Digimon but he mysteriously got knocked down to the ground. After that, two ghost-like creatures appeared in front of him. One of them wore a witch hat and they both were holding iron chains.

DigiAnalyzer:

Bakemon
A Champion Level Evil Digimon who resembles a ghost. He uses his chains to attack his opponents and he is very violent.

Soulmon
A Champion Level Evil Digimon who is a subspecies of Bakemon. He also uses chains to attack his opponents.

"Be careful Soulmon, I do not want you to destroy our lunch," said Bakemon. "Why? I thought you like a pancake." Those 3 Digimon laughed maniacally after Soulmon had said that.

Enraged by the insults, Leon quickly woke up and smacked both Bakemon and Soulmon to the ground with his arms. DemiDevimon tried to attack Leon with his claws but he caught his legs and slammed him to the ground. Then he crushed DemiDevimon with his foot, instantly killing him. Meanwhile, Soulmon and Bakemon had recovered and tried to hit Leon with their chains. Leon kept dodging their attacks as he ran towards them. However, a huge energy sphere stroke the ground all of the sudden, knocking out Leon and the Ghost Digimon. That attack came from 2 demonic creatures who were floating above them.

DigiAnalyzer:

Devimon
A Champion Level Evil Digimon who resembles a fallen angel. His signature attack is Death Claw" when he uses his claws to attack his opponent.

Vilemon
A Champion Level Evil Digimon who looks like a cross between a monkey and a vampire bat. His signature attack is Final Shocker when he fires a dark energy sphere from his mouth.

"Fools! Why are you taking so long only for capturing a human?!" Vilemon yelled at Bakemon and Soulmon. "We are sorry master, please forgive us..." said Soulmon as he and Bakemon tried to get up. "Calm down, we have already got him anyway," stated Devimon while slowly landing on the ground. Leon began to regain his conciousness and he saw Devimon's feet approaching him. When he tried to wake up again, Bakemon and Soulmon immediately wrapped their chains around his arms and they roughly pulled them up, making him kneeled in front of Devimon. But even with his condition now, Leon still tried to break free and looked angrily at the enemy in front of him. "Do not worry, this will hurt a lot!"

Devimon was about to deliver the final blow to Leon until a crab-like arm impaled his stomach from behind. He screamed painfully as his body slowly reduced to data, and the data were completely absorbed by a creature that had impaled him before: the same creature Leon had seen in his nightmare. Suddenly Leon regained his power back and pulled the chains out of the Ghost Digimon, throwing them away in the process. After that, he used their own chains to whip them many times until they died. "What do you think you are doing, human?!" said Vilemon angrily while firing an energy sphere from his mouth.

Leon managed to avoid Vilemon's attack even though he still received some damages from the explosions. But then he wrapped the chains he was still holding around Vilemon's legs and slammed him down to the ground. While Vilemon was lying facedown, Leon quickly placed his foot on Vilemon's back and started to pull the demon's legs out with the chains until they were terribly detached from his body. Vilemon growled loudly, but the torture was not over yet. Leon wrapped the chains around his own hands, mounted up the creature's back, and finally battered the back of his head repeatedly. When he stood up, Vilemon had become nothing but data.

However, Leon just recognized that the last demonic creature on his sight was absorbing all of the defeated Digimon's data, including Vilemon's. Thinking that the creature would attack him too, he extended the chains around his right arm and swang them. However, he heard his father's voice again in his head. "Take care of me... Leon..." implied the voice. Leon kneeled down for he felt great pain in his head because of the voice.
