Barig=DS Theory

Yeah, I went there. While most of you probably doubt this, there are a number of reasons that Barig can be(and is) the DS. Most of this (and if not all of this) can be explained through Xigbar’s actions, appearance, and knowledge.

First, let comment on Xigbar’s Appearance. Xigbar has yellow eyes .Yellow eyes is symbolic to show that the person is closer to darkness. Barig is younger than Xigbar in BBS. Xigbar having a scar is not just a mere coincidence. It could have been from Ven slicing of his helmet in KH2FM’s secret ending (I know the secret ending isn’t completely cannon, but something similar is supposed to happen in the game as stated by Nomura). Although Xigbar is only half of Barig, Nobodies only have slightly different physical appearance, not changing it completely. Xigbar also has guns that look similar to Keyblades.

Next, let’s take a look at Xigbar’s knowledge. Xigbar mentions how Sora was ten years too early for wielding the keyblade. Xigbar also talks about how years ago, people with blade of keys fought great battles. Xigbar also talk about this as if this did not happen that long ago.

Last has to do with Xigbar’s Actions. Xigbar doesn’t seem too friendly with Roxas, just as the DS doesn’t seem to get along with Ven.

MX also said that DS is infused with darkness. I can see a lot of darkness in Xigbar’s attacks.

The only backfire we have is that Xigbar has no Keyblade. He obviously summit to darkness, so he is no longer qualified.

I believe the DS could be a nobody of MX... although the Secret Ending is Non Canon, DS reverted out of MX...

True, that is possible. But then again, you'd think AtW would notice if Braig was missing for very long periods of time while he's masquerading as DS.

And then, we can always bring up DS' height into this. DS is about the same height as Ven, so we can assume that he'd be at least the same height as Roxas, considering they'd be around the same age, yes?

Xigbar is at least a foot taller than Roxas in this picture. And even though BBS was ten years ago, somehow I doubt that Braig was a teenager when it all happened, so there's no explanation as to why he'd grow a foot. :v

Just because Xigbar happened to be AtW apprentice and probably recollects seeing Ven during that time does not mean that Xigbar is related to DS in anyway. Yes yellow eyes does signify darkness but this is just out there. There's the height differences and not to mention the fact that he doesn't wield a keyblade.
