[parsehtml]
As more and more Kingdom Hearts games are being made, Disney and Square Enix are working together to think of more Disney-inspired worlds to grace the playable stage of the series. Games like Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep and Kingdom Hearts 3D are actively trying to utilize Disney movies to create new worlds that haven’t already been ruined (coughHerculescough), and that’s a good idea. But with such a wide variety of worlds left to use under the Disney license, what worlds could and should be used? Luckily, I’m here to help them, so without further ado, here are my top 10 Disney franchises that should be made into Kingdom Hearts worlds.

~*~

1. The Jungle Book

I feel like this one is so very obvious. If worlds like The Lion King and The Little Mermaid can exist, transforming Sora into a lion or, worse, a merman, then surely a jungle-themed world where humans are present could work just as well. You could be like Sora in small orange underpants. Imagine running around the dense jungle with Baloo at your side, just tearing everything up. It would be cool. And hey, considering the Jungle Book was almost a world in Birth by Sleep, it’s not all that farfetched that we could see it in a future installment.

2. Lilo & Stitch

“BUT TAYLOR THEY ALREADY HAD LILO AND STITCH IN BBS IT WAS CALLED DEEP SPACE!!!!” NO SHUT UP I DON’T NEED YOUR SASS. Deep Space was not what I wanted out of the Lilo & Stitch franchise. I wanted a Hawaii-inspired level that had both Stitch and Lilo. Remember that very serene-looking background in the Stitch summon from Kingdom Hearts II? I wanted that. It was beautiful, and I want to save an alien-invested Hawaii from the bad guys. And so do you. Just think about it for a second.

3. The Black Cauldron

Okay, this one feels a little iffy to me. I mean, I always enjoyed this movie as a kid, but I now know that it’s actually a pretty mediocre film, was poorly-received at the box office, and was almost solely responsible for a huge lack of faith in the Disney Animation Studios. Okay. That’s not that bad. Considering that Sora may be spending a little too much time with Pooh and Ariel, I think a brief venture to the world of The Black Cauldron might actually be healthy. Darker worlds have always been interesting for the series, and handled well, this piece-of-poop movie could be turned into a fantastically refreshing experience.

4. The Rescuers Down Under

I feel like a world based in the universe of The Rescuers could be very similar to Cinderella’s world in Birth by Sleep: you’d be shrunk down to tiny size to fight alongside the detective rats of the Rescue Aid Society. What if Mickey met Bernard? I dunno, maybe they’d get along. His world has the opportunity to be far more action-oriented, and that could be something that, once again, the series could really use. I’ve always got the impression that The Rescuers franchise is a bit underrated, and maybe it needs some 21st century loving to get back on the right track to recognition.

5. Toy Story

Easy stuff, right? When the Buzz and Woody models were leaked for Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, I think most people got really excited. Finally, a subtle confirmation that Pixar movies, or at least characters, might join the world cast of Kingdom Hearts. And then Kingdom Hearts 3D came and passed without any hint of Pixar. So what happened? I would theorize that Square Enix is waiting for something bigger and better…something like Kingdom Hearts III perchance? Surely Pixar’s biggest and greatest franchise would make an appearance in the next major installment. Imagine fighting besides Woody and Buzz against Sid, Zerg, and that really weird chicken man from the second movie. Also, riding Bullseye. Ball’s in your court, Square.

6. The Incredibles

Alright, alright, I know what you might be thinking: “Taylor, the Incredibles was a comparatively weak movie when stacked up against other Pixar movies.” Okay, first and foremost, no. That movie was fantastic and I’ll gentlemen’s duel you into submission if you disagree. But let’s not get into semantics; let’s both be gentlemen and simply conclude that you’re wrong and I’m right. Moving on. In the colorful cast that we call Pixar movies, The Incredibles is action-packed, vibrant, and has the possibly of offering multiple different areas, like the city, the island, or Syndrome’s secret headquarters. And hey, given the inclusion of real humans, doesn’t The Incredibles just seem much more plausible than something like Finding Nemo?

7. Finding Nemo

Just kidding.

7. Up

I don’t want to have to explain this one because I think it’s very obvious why this should be a world in the next Kingdom Hearts. The scenery is varied and colorful, the characters are gripping and easy to mesh with, and the villains are prevalent and probably really easy to tie into the story. Heck, imagine comparing Carl’s journey to Sora’s original journey. The emotional tension would be unbearable. I might cry. I’m crying right now. Just leave me alone and move on.

8. Tangled

Why ride Bullseye when you can ride Maximus (because Bullseye is a toy and that is awesome)? The world of Tangled is like the world of old Disney princess films, except not in 2D. And that’s really cool. Also, imagine all the stuff they actually do in Tangled: they escape the tower, party at the Snuggly Duckling, collapse a dam, and then invade the same tower and fight to the death (literally) with that creepy not-mom mom witch lady. Now imagine if Sora was there. Also Goofy and Donald. Enough motivation for me.

9. Wreck-It Ralph

Look, I just saw this film and I’m really in love with it right now. I might always be. The in-movie in-game (…what?) environments of Hero’s Duty and Sugar Rush would be fantastic locations for the Kingdom Hearts crew to explore. And, not to spoil, the enemies and main villain would be so easy to incorporate into the mix. Considering the content in Wreck-It Ralph, I’m actually surprised that Kingdom Hearts didn’t grace the screen even once. If Disney and Square can work together to recreate the beautiful world of Wreck-It Ralph for Kingdom Hearts III, I might actually buy it just for that (probably not, but maybe (disregard that)).

10. Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

Yep. Why not? This movie is easily one of the greatest movies to be released for animation. It was simply groundbreaking for its time, it single-handedly jumpstarted the interest in the Golden Age of Animation again, and it is still incredibly impressive even by today's standards. Roger fighting besides you would be amazing. I don’t even care if they couldn’t even persuade the Warner Brothers to let them use Looney Toons characters (yes I do). Every part of this movie is charming, and I think Sora and company would fit in really well to the half-realistic, half-cartoon world present in this movie. The villains could easily be threatening to the entire Kingdom Hearts universe as well, and I think that every bit of this film could tie in to the adventures of Sora. Suddenly, Sora is the new detective trying to prove Roger’s innocence. That’d be interesting. I don’t know why this franchise has remained buried for years (after the failed sequel that never saw the light of day), but I’d like to see a fresh gust of air breathed into this series once more.

~*~

Well, there you have it, gents. I would be more than happy to play a game that brilliantly handled all the above-mentioned worlds. I know that some of you might be wondering where other worlds are, but I tried my best to create a varied, exciting, and colorful mix of different worlds. With all these worlds, there’s no way that Kingdom Hearts III could be anything short of fantastic.

I mean, unless they used the Top 10 WORST Disney franchises….
[/parsehtml]

Fox and the Hound

Though this would probably be a world where Sora & Co. turns into animals similar to Pride Lands.

I'd have to agree that Bolt and Brave would be nice. I'd imagine that 'changing your fate' would fit snugly with KHIII.
Treasure planet would be an interesting world, and a nice place to play around in.

I do plan on making a future "What 10 Worlds Should Never Be in KH", and maybe you'll see some of my reasoning for franchises that didn't make it on this list.

But I do admit, there a lot of franchises that I would have liked to add to this list. Brave was the closest to making it on, for sure.

I could imagine that the "What 10 Worlds Should Never Be in KH" will be equally hard to make... I mean, there'd be so many.

You're missing a few good ones from this list.
- The Sword in the Stone
SwordintheStonePoster.JPG

A world based on this movie would fit perfectly into KH! I mean Merlin has been there from the beginning.

- Robin Hood
Robinhood_1973_poster.png

A Robin Hood world would be very easy to adapt into KH. The animal characters fit well in relation to worlds such as Lion King and The Jungle Book (if they include it).

- Pocahontas
Pocahontasposter.jpg

This basically speaks for itself. I really don't know why it's taken them so long to incorporate this world!

- The Emperor's New Groove

Grooveposter.jpg

This ones a bit of a toss up. I'm sure they could find a way to make it work... And having Sora and Co. turn into various animal versions because of potions would just be amazing!

And last one that I'll just put out there. Continuing with the trend of animals in the KH universe -

- Monsters Inc.
Monsters_Inc.JPG

Although not technically animals - these characters would be very easy to incorporate into KH because of their bright colours and somewhat friendly designs. Also the plot of the movie and it's elements - monsters and doors, fits perfectly in the KH universe.

Just some of the franchises I'd like to see incorporated.

Well, about what worlds I would like to see... I would love to see more original KH worlds and less Disney worlds...

But replying to what Disney worlds I would like to see, I would choose Pocahontas, Toy Stroy and The Emperor's NEw Groove.

Also, I would like to see again Pride Lands, Port Royal and Land of Dragons

So when you say "no homo" are you implying the word homosexual? Do you find homosexuals repugnant? Because I find the use of that phrase "no homo" very offensive.

Meh you'll be okay people say that all the time if they do something that is seen by many others as highly disturbing or of that nature.

As for the topic no lie, but certain movies I don't think would workout I love The Incredibles, but will it work don't think so. Same thing for Fox and the Hound.

They could make certain things work, but it will feel odd.

When you said Finding Nemo, you almost made me have a panic attack.

That's a pretty good list, I would LOVE to see Who Framed Roger Rabbit? because that film is a classic.

I have to say that I agree with most of the worlds you guys are bringing up. Good job:) Some of them may be a little iffy, but who knows? Square-Enix might be able to work them out.

Now, here are some other ones I've thought of, that I don't think have been mentioned yet. However, I think I'm just going to list some of the classic Disney movies, because I'm sure someone else will cover the Pixar, live action movies, things like Meet the Robinsons, and the various Disney sequels. LOL.

Onto the list! And I will admit that some of these I haven't seen in a long time (if at all), so I'm not one-hundred percent on all of them, but whatever.

Brother Bear (I'm not really sure about this one, to be honest.)
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
The Great Mouse Detective (I never actually saw this movie, so it might not work.)
Enchanted (It could possibly be pulled off, but I've heard people say there might be legal problems with doing that one...)
The Tinker Bell movies. (Once again, I've never seen these, but I know a lot of people think they could be done, so...)
Disney's version of The Snow Queen when it comes out.
And for the heck of it, I'll just say something I know some people have been asking for for awhile: the Gargoyles TV show.

So, yeah. Here are some more ideas. I don't know how well they'd do, but they’re something to consider, at least.

It'll be interesting to see just what worlds will end up being used in III…

I would love to see more square enix worlds as well. I can only imagine something like Chrono Trigger, and fighting a massive boss like lavos.

How about no? Square Enix can put their characters in this series, but I do Not want a world based off an SE Game. The Kingdom Hearts series, contrary to SE Fan Boy belief, is a Disney game; its just made by SE.

I would much rather see worlds based off Disney Films rather than other SE Games. SE characters are fine, but SE worlds are just something I would not approve of.

As for what Disney films id like to see in the KH series, I do believe the Black Cauldron would be an epic movie to include. One of the reasons it was so negatively received was due to how dark and sinister it was compared to 'lighthearted' and 'cute' films that came before it. Because of that I think that it could easily fit in with the Kingdom Hearts series dark tone its been developing as the series progresses.

I would love to see a world based off of Lilo and Stitch, would be interesting since he landed in Hawaii in the time frame of BbS, meaning if Sora were to visit a world based off it, it would be in the time period of the Stitch Anime series, when Lilo is an adult, has a child. I would like to see that be incorporated into KH somehow.

Also the Little Mermaid better come back, and incorporate proper battle mechanics this time around. The Little Mermaid has always been my favorite Disney film, even when i was a child. When I found out Ariel was my battle partner in the first KH game, i about squealed so loud with delight, i herd my windows crack slightly. I honestly think it would make sense, since Ursula showed up in KH3D as the first boss of the game. Something Tells me we will see more of her in the future.

I would also love to see a stage based off of Treasure Planet, would love to be able to traverse the ship Jim rides in the beginning, like Sora and crew could come across their ship while its being attacked by Heartless, and then travel with them to Treasure Planet, and that's how it would show up on the world Map. Would love to have Jim as a party member, his weapon could be the usage of Morph, like in the TP Videogames.

Another film I'd love to see would be Brave. The film only recently came out and there is still a lot of hype and excitement for it, I would also love the chance to fight alongside Merida. Also, who doesn't want the chance to fight agents Mor'Du? Would be one of the best fights in the series I think, especially if they gave him magic Heartless based powers, like they did with Scar in KHII.

Another Disney film id love to see included is Gargoyles. It was one of my favorite movies of all times, including the sequel TV Series. It was probably one of the most in-depth and darker series Disney had ever developed, and I think it would fit in perfectly with the KH Series. and since the TV show which takes place after the film is canon, they could continue using Gargoyels as the Kingdom Hearts series continues.

Yes! Little Mermaid 2 all the way! I won't go into why I think Little Mermaid 2 is near perfect (I feel like I've posted that all over these forums in these types of thread and rehashing the same stuff all over again isn't really productive for anyone xP) but I think it would fit every well overall. I'm all for Disney utilizing sequels, regardless if they weren't well-received. With the example of Black Cauldron, just because critics didn't LOVE the movie, doesn't mean the movie can't be well-utilized in the context of Kingdom Hearts.

I don't want to say it, but with the consideration of time travel now in KH (is DDD spoilers still necessary, I forgot what day it went up too. Also, I know time travel was in KH2...but I still put spoiler tags on this anyways, I could see Sora and co. going to worlds like Little Mermaid 3, that took place in the past with Ariel's mother or Peter Pan 2 that takes place in the future. Mulan 2 I can see them trying to protect the 3 princesses (I can't help but see how that wouldn't be an obvious part of the world that would fit), not to mention the Aladdin sequels are still a gold mine of storylines for Agrabah :) Although I don't like it, I can also see them using the Alice in Wonderland by Tim Burton.

I agree with the worlds of:
 • The Emperor's New Groove
 • The Princess and the Frog
 • Tangled
 • Pocahontas
 • Lilo & Stitch
This are special but to me the world that is missing is from Mary Poppins, not like a world, maybe they can use it like they did with Winnie the Pooh and the Little Mermaid (KH II) to visit the Cheery Tree Lane and the Banks Family. But they can mix the film version and the musical version, imagine Sora meeting Mary Poppins, interacting with the family, talking with Bert, and maybe Sora can sing or dance in the Step in Time number this could be a difficult one but who doesn´t love Mary Poppins. Maybe if someone is reading this give me your opinion good or bad I don´t know.
