News ► Kingdom Hearts 3 Toy Box Extended Gameplay Released at TGS 2018

Ever since the Premiere Event in May 2018, Kingdom Hearts fans have been clamoring for more information and footage from the extended demo of Toy Box, a world introduced in Kingdom Hearts III that is based on Pixar's Toy Story film franchise.

At the Tokyo Game Show on September 23rd, Co-Director Tai Yasue shared a look at the extended demo, which features Sora, Donald, and Goofy teaming up with Woody and Buzz to find their missing friends. Watch as Sora navigates air vents and Heartless as he searches through Galaxy Toys in search of Rex, Hamm, and the Army Men.

It's one thing to have the Gigas be controlled by the Heartless, but in this video you can see them possess the toys around the toy shop and that is so freaky and adds an element of surprise as you never know what toy is going to come for you.

This 15 minute video was a real blessing, and thank you Tai Yasue for loosening the reins after telling them to skip the first few cutscenes. That Musical Frogs cutscene is nothing short of spectacular.

Aah, I can't get over how immersive the worlds are! The worlds were always interactive but it somehow feels different this time. It's going to be so much fun exploring everywhere. Boss battle looks great too!

Mysterious Onyx looks so much better than the previous images we've seen. Like a 1000 times better. All of the new footage was great. I find it funny how Woody ran out of breath lol

I love Mysterious Onyx. I always did from the second we saw a weird camera shot of her lol. And then more when all the people trying to say she was waifu got jebaited and she was scary looking lol. Tho she is less scary in blurry pictures tbh.

Yeah I didn't realize the Puppet Heartless spawn first and then possess toys if you let them escape into them. Only thing that bums me out about that is we may not get Journal entries for all those toys and I wanted them lol. But maybe they will, or at least have their possessed models viewable under the default Heartless' page.

Yasue seemed to really want to get to the doll battle and Frozen gameplay, which was why he kept saying they were short on time and urging the guest actor to skip the earlier scenes. Gotta say, it was worth it.
