xehanort could definetly well be an old keyblade weilder cause if you think about it he had a strong enough heart to not turn into a heartless (well at least the heartless form) which is a pretty big feat and the keyblade picks people with the strongest hearts doesnt it? so i came up with theis theory that xehanort was a keyblade master but lost his memories somehow and went to ansems castles and u guys know the rest

any thoughts?

Yes he probably left that Dark Keyblade that is now Mickey's in the realm of darkness after he opened that door with the Keyhole. Remeber in Kingdom Hearts in one of the Ansem reports, he states that he saw a strange door with a Keyhole and then he opened it. He must of used that Keyblade. There was no other way he could of opened it. After he opened the door, he found no more use for the Keyblade so he left it in the realm of darkness. Then sometime later Mickey and Riku came in that realm then Mickey took the Keyblade and that is where the ending of Kingdom Hearts come in.

time to maprove this thread wrong

xehanort not turning into a normal heartless had nothing to do with his heart, it was becuase he willingly gave himself to the darkness.

in the report, it said that the door did not seem to be locked, and remember that aheartless was with him when he found the door, the heartless might have opened the door, not ansem. yes thats rght, ansem, since report 9, and all reports before that were written by the real ansem.

people, why do you always forget that while a keyhole can lock or open a world door, a heartless can also open it

Yeah I forgot about that one. I almost forgot that heartless can get into Keyholes to worlds and destroy the core. So I guess they can open Keyholes. You are right on this one. That is why the Keyblade master needs to seal the Keyhole so heartless don't mess with the core so the world won't go boom!!!

true and maybe becasue he opened the door to darkness he lost his memory in the process...or maybe not but it is possible

violent_anger that is laso a good point but maybe just maybe he opened the door to darkness with his keyblade the heartless just showed him the way there

Time to prove you wrong.

They carried my name, but the only one that I wrote was Number 0.
Number 1 through Number 8 were written by that man of his own volition.

Ansem wrote only one, the rest were written by that man(xehanort).

Also, Nomura included this for some reason:

One mystery remains.
How did Xehanort open the door that appeared below my castle...?

He included that as a forshadowing of the next game.

Also, Xehanort claims that he opened the door. Get your facts straight.

you fool, you ansem quotes are translations, of which i have my own versions

At the top, my name was recorded beside the number 0. Following it were the numbers 1-8, accompanied by the names of eight selfish men.
as you can see, mine says ansem wrote 1-9, and the others simply took credit for the reports.

now then, looky here
It was a visitor from another world who mended my broken heart. "Mickey" is what the small king called himself, and in his hand he held the legendary key of worlds. It was said that both prosperity and chaos were once brought to the world with this "Keyblade". He brought with him much interesting knowledge and through pleasent discussion, our friendship deepened.
now, what does this mean? mickey had the keyblade when he met ansem. and mickey met ansem a day or two after the door was broken, so for your theories about xehanort opening the door with the keyblade to be correct, mickey would have to go to the world of darkness, find the keyblade, go back to his own world, then go to hollow bastion, all in a two day period of time

Hmm...that makes sense.....there are still some mysteries in Kingdom Hearts that haven't been solved like the story of the keyblade (Keyblade War), Xehanort's memories, Zexion's weapon and possibly the other origins of the six members of the Organization XIII, perhaps?

-Ansem's Report 5-
To study the Heartless behavior, I picked one out for observation. It
wiggled its antennae and, as if sensing a target, headed deep into the
castle.

In the deepest part of the castle, its antennae began vibrating, as if
searching for something. Suddenly, a strange door appeared. I'd never
known of its existence.

I had a large keyhole, but didn't seem to be locked. SO I opened the
door.

What I saw on the other side mystified me.

What was that powerful mass of energy. That night I observed a great
meteor shower in the sky.

Could it be related to the door that I have opened?

-Ansem's Report 6-
A massive core of energy lay beyond the door sought by the Heartless.
It may be the ultimate goal of the Heartless. But what is that energy?
I have devised a hypothesis, based upon my observations of the
Heartless.
The Heartless feed on other's hearts, and they yearn for that energy
core. That thing beyond the door must be a heart, too--the heart of
this world. There is no proof, but, having felt that immense energy, I
am certain. That was the heart of the world.
The Heartless are trying to take hearts not only from all living
creatures, but from the planet itself. But what do they mean to do with
the heart of the world?

-Ansem's Report 7-
I am studying material from the meteors that rained down that fateful
night. What a find! The material is foreign to our world. It is elastic
to the touch, and when two pieces are combined, they bond easily.
None of the records even mention such a substance. Was it introduced
to this world when I opened the door? I wonder how many other such
materials drift through the atmosphere of this tiny world... I wish I
could soar off and find out!
Could there be uncharted worlds up there? My curiosity never ceases to
grow. But I should stop speaking of such unrealistic dreams. For now,
there is no way to venture outside this world. My people and I are all
but prisoners of this tiny place.

-Ansem's Report 8-
There is no doubt that the Heartless are deeply connected to the
people's hearts. Further study may unravel both their motivations and
the mysteries shrouding the heart. As a start, I have built a device
that artificially creates Heartless.
By recreating the conditions that spawn the Heartless naturally, I
should be able to produce them artificially. This device is the
culmination of all my research thus far. The machine's test run
successfully created a Heartless. This may be a step toward creating a
heart from nothing.
The artificially and naturally created Heartless showed nearly
identical traits. But the two types remain distinct for the purpose of
the experiment. So, I will mark the ones that are created artificially.

-Ansem's Report 9-
Simple astonishing! Today I had a guest from another world. He is a
king, and his vessel is built of the material that composed the
meteors. He called the pieces "gummi blocks." It seemed that my opening
the door has opened a path to interworld travel.
We talked for countless hours, but one story in particular caught my
interest: that of a key called the "Keyblade." The Keyblade is said to
hold phenomenal power. One legend says its wielder saved the world,
while another says that he wrought chaos and ruin upon it.
I must know what this Keyblade is. A key opens doors. It must be
connected to the door I have opened.

*sigh*

Again...

They carried my name, but the only one that I wrote was Number 0.
Number 1 through Number 8 were written by that man of his own volition.

Also, Xehanort DID meet Mickey. If you remember on the flashback where Mickey was talking to Ansem, Xehanort appeared there. So even though it wasnt shown, he and Mickey had to have talked sometime.

You just contradicted your previous statement that said the reports before 9 were made by the real Ansem.

And how do you know Mickey and Xehanort didnt talk? Are you Nomura that you know the story? Im not claiming that I know for sure they talked, but think about it. How did Xehanort know about the Keyblade and everything else? He had to have talked to Mickey some day.

Both state that numbers 1-8 were NOT written by Ansem.

i must be really sleepy then, how does this one not say ansem wrote 1-9? all this one says is that report 2-9 had different names next to them.

note, this one does not mention ansem reports, simply report, so this may very well simply be the results of their darkness of the heart testing
