I don't think that Namine really lives on the island.
She was just twisting Sora's memories around to make him think that she did.
She was basically taking the place and Kairi

I think that Namine is really pretty but I find it weird how after everything Namine did,
Sora still trusted her with his memories. Sora is actually just too nice of a guy.

Namine is a good person though. I don't see how she can be bad. She did turn again the Organization XIII

Namine was supposidly a "special" nobody that could manipulate memories. She wasn't part of the Organization, she was only there for their disposal. Remember that when Kairi "lost" her heart, she then created a Nobody, as did Sora when he became a Heartless. And since she wasn't really in the Organization,...okay, I'm giving myself a headache. Kinda get the picture?

Namine CAN ONLY ALTER THE MEMORIES OF THOSE RELATED TO SORA.
Organization XIII had no relation to him at all, and they never got to KNOW him like Donald, Goofy, Kairi, and Riku did.

Namine's not bad and guess she CAN'T (see, she was the you-know-what of Kairi)

Now a few questions (spoiler?)...
-If Namine was born when Kairi lost her heart, how come Kairi's body was still exist until her heart came back into her body?
-How did the Organization know Namine and her powers(or how did they meet her, but guess this on was the same as Roxas)
-Do you think Roxas EVER met Namine when he was still an Organization member?

Namine wasn't very.....nice sounding in the beginning, but as the story progressed, she got nicer. I think she was really lonely while she was in COM.

Namine is the hell better than Kairi, she know what she wants and Kairi is too naive. Namien doesn't want to be a shadow, but she don't run away, thats georgious I think. And she is the best female chara in Kingdom Hearts 2 and Chain of Memories.
