Chapter 6: Inferno flew through the empty space on his keyblade glider. He didn’t know if the others had made it so he decided to stop at the first world he saw. “But how am I going to find a world?” Inferno asked himself. Just then, he spotted one. “How convenient,” he thought. He dived down and headed for that world.
Meanwhile, Hydro was following right behind him. She’d seen him go to that world and decided to follow him. She still didn’t exactly know what to do so she figured it was best to stay together. When she entered that world, she found Inferno lying with his face on the ground. His keyblade lay a few feet away from him. “Rough landing, huh?” she asked him. “Yep,” he grumbled, getting to his feet. “Any sign of Ciaran?””No,” Hydro answered, I’m kinda worried.” But just then, something sparkled in the sky and Ciaran on his keyblade appeared. He removed his armour, transformed his Keyblade back and dropped to the ground.”Where are we?” he asked them. “I don’t know,” Inferno said. “Let’s go explore!”
The three were in a jungle and it was very hot. It was daytime and they could hear waves and people. Were they near a beach? Inferno charged ahead and jumped through the leaves. “Guys, come see this!” he exclaimed. When they all emerged, they found themselves on a beach. Palm trees were dotted across the beach. It looked like they were on a tropical island.
“Gah, it’s too damn hot!” Inferno said. The trio walked over to a man who appeared to have just wiped out on his surfboard. “Excuse me, sir,” Hydro asked him. “I know this may seem a silly question, but where are we?” “You’re right,” he replied. “It is a silly question! To answer your question, you are on the faboulous island of Hawaii!” “Thank you, sir,” Hydro said. “So…,” Inferno said,” where do you suppose we go now…” But he didn’t get to finish his question, because suddenly, a few creatures rose up out of the sand. They were completely black, with a humanoid shape, except they had red eyes. “Scourge!” Ciaran exclaimed. All three of them summoned their keyblades as the beach-goers fled, screaming. As the scourge rushed towards the three, a blue blur took out the first one. “What the…,” Hydro said. The blue thing was an animal of some sort, except it had four legs. “Never mind that right now,” Ciaran said. “Let’s just take out these creatures first!”
2 minutes and a lot of dissolved Scourge later, the blue alien thing started to run away. “Wait!” Hydro exclaimed. All of them ran after it into the woods. It was very fast and after 5 minutes of running in the stifling heat, all three of them were panting for breath. “This thing… runs too… fast,” Ciaran wheezed. Thankfully, it ran into a house at the end of the jungle. “Oh…good…” Inferno said. The three rushed over to the house and Ciaran knocked on the door. There was no reply. “Alright, in through the window it is,” he said. “What?!” Hydro asked. “You can’t go into someone’s house without permission!” “The hell I can’t!” he replied and opened up the window. Hydro glanced at Inferno. “What can I say?” Inferno said. “The guy’s crazy!” Then he too followed Ciaran into the house. Hydro sighed before sneaking in too.
“Blue thing!” Inferno whispered. Bluuuueeeee thing!” The three of them crept through the house. Ciaran walked upstairs into one of the rooms. It was pretty messy with stuff lying all over the floor. Ciaran burrowed through the mess of sheets and toys. The room must have belonged to a little girl because there were dolls scattered everywhere. Rummaging through it, he came to a makeshift star toy. Looking at it, Ciaran’s head hurt. The star flickered and changed into a much smoother, black one. Ciaran blinked twice and the image went back to normal. “Anything up there, Ciaran?” Inferno shouted up. Ciaran shook himself out of his daze. “No, “ he replied, “ anything down there?” “Nuh-uh,” he shouted back. Ciaran made his way downstairs, still holding the star. “So what should we do?” Inferno asked. Go to a new world?” “ I don’t know…”Hydro replied. “Maybe we should stay here, ask around…” But she never got to finish, because suddenly, the blue streak was back and it tackled Ciaran. Even though it was small, it took Ciaran by surprise and he came crashing down. The blue thing grabbed the star and ran into the corner.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” Ciaran asked. “What’s your name? Can you talk?” The blue thing looked up. “Me… Stitch.” “You’re stitch? Who gave you this?” Stitch looked around for a second before replying, “Ter…ra.” “Terra? Who…” But the door slammed shut and all three of them looked around.
“Lilo! Lilo!” “Hide!” Hydro hissed. All three of them found a hiding spot, Ciaran behind the sofa, Hydro in a small corner behind the washing machine and Inferno under all the laundry. He had just covered himself as a young woman entered the room. “She mustn’t be home from school yet,” she muttered to herself. “Stitch! Are you here?” Stitch crawled over to her. “Yes?” he asked in his strange voice. “Do you know how made this mess?” Stitch looked over at the sofa where Ciaran was lying. Ciaran quietly shook his head. “No,” Stitch replied. “Hm.” The woman then walked upstairs and that was when they emerged from their hiding places. “Alright, let’s get out of here!”
On the way out, Stitch ran out after them. He beckoned for them to follow him. It looked like it was urgent. “I think he wants us to follow him,” Inferno said. The three of them ran after it into the jungle once again.
Eventually, they all reached a clearing with a huge crashed…”Spaceship!” Inferno exclaimed in awe. “Is this what you wanted to show us?” Stitch ran up to the bottom of the ship, where the platform for getting on was. Stitch motioned with his hand to tell them to follow him inside. “Well, ok…” Ciaran muttered.
Inside the ship, Ciaran, Hydro, Inferno and Stitch snuck in. Inside was a very big alien standing beside an electrical field of some sort. Inside was a girl that looked a lot like the woman in the house. “Let me out!” she screamed. The alien took no notice of her however as he was hunched over a computer. “Stitch is gonna get you, you know!” The alien laughed. “I’d like to see him try. He may have thwarted my plots to capture all the experiments, but your precious stitch isn’t here to save you now. And even if he does come, my little friend here will soon deal with him. After years of experimenting, I finally came up with my own experiment. I call him the Blizzard Dragon.
“The Blizzard Dragon? But where is it?” Inferno asked. “We’ll soon find out,” Ciaran asked,” Because we’re gonna get that girl!” With this, Ciaran ran up out of the hiding place and summoned his Keyblade. “Hey you!” he shouted. “Let her go!” The alien turned. “Well, now I’ll have the chance to try the Blizzard Dragon after all!” He grabbed a beaker of water and dropped a small blue ball into it. When it touched the water, it immediately started fizzing and there was a flash of light. Ciaran and the others shielded their eyes from the dazzling light. When it had died down, The ship’s roof was destroyed. It looked like something had grown too big for the ship. “Outside!” Hydro shouted.
When they ran outside, they discovered a huge white and silver dragon in the jungle. It roared loudly when it saw them and sprayed ice at them. The three of them backflipped away from it and the ground were they were standing immediately froze. The temperature around the dragon dropped from the normal temperature. The dragons head then radiated with darkness. Ciaran ran at the dragon and jumped up to it’s head. It grabbed a hold of its horn and stabbed it through the eye. The dragon screeched and shook it’s head, knocking Ciaran to the ground. Fortunately, it was now blind in one eye. Hydro and Inferno ran over to where Ciaran landed. “You ok, man?” Inferno asked. “Yeah,” he replied. That thing on its back. The crystal thingy. I think we need to destroy that.”
Inferno ran at the dragon to distract it, slashing at it’s legs. Stitch grabbed on to Ciaran’s Keyblade and suddenly Ciaran understood. He swung his Keyblade towards the dragon and Stitch let go, flying towards it with a gleeful “Yahooooooooo!!!!!” It grabbed onto it’s horn and scratched at it’s one good eye. The dragon screeched in rage and shook itself again. Unfortunately, it’s leg almost stamped on Inferno. “Watch out, Inferno!” Hydro shouted. Inferno looked up in horror just as the leg came crashing down. Inferno closed his eyes…
And opened them again as Ciaran tackled him out of the way. “Thanks, man,” Inferno said. Ciaran simply turned back to the dragon. It had started to shoot miniature spears of ice from it’s mouth. Ciaran dodged and weaved while blocking simultaneously. Meanwhile, Hydro was climbing the monsters back. It was quite tall and it’s legs weren’t exactly the best things for climbing. She used her Keyblade as one of the climbing hooks. When she reached the crystal, she raised her Keyblade and stabbed down with all her strength. The crystal shattered into a million pieces. Hydro fell off the dragon and rolled on the ground to dodge the rain of ice shards. “Vicious little bugger, aren’t you?” Ciaran muttered to himself. Just then, the dragon dug it’s claws into the ground. The ground at Ciaran’s feet got very cold. Instinctively, he jumped backwards just as a spire of ice streaked out of the ground. Inferno had seen the spire and thought,” I’ve got to get off the ground.” He ran, dodging through the spires of ice, and jumped on to the dragon’s knees. At the same time, Hydro and Ciaran started grabbing on too. Stitch was still on the dragon’s head, keeping one of it’s arms occupied as it tries to get him off. The dragon knelt down slightly and spread it’s wings. “Get off it, everyone!” Ciaran shouted. But for Inferno, it was too late. The dragon had flown off with him still on his back. “Inferno!” Hydro shouted. But the dragon had flown over to a huge mountain. “Hydro, get that girl. I’ll go get Inferno.” Then he ran after the dragon.
Ciaran chased through the jungle, cutting through the vines and bushes with his Keyblade. The Blizzard Dragon was still in his view and seemed to be slowing down. It was weakened from the blows they had already dealt to it. After arriving at the bottom of the mountain, Ciaran began his slow descent upwards.
Meanwhile, Hydro was in the spaceship again. She had waited until the Alien had left and then decided to go in and rescue the little girl. She rushed over to the computer she seen the alien at. Hydro started hammering random buttons, hoping that the field would shut itself down. “Don’t worry little girl, I’ll get you out.” Hydro got very frustrated and slammed her fist against the control panel. Suddenly, the energy field went down. “Yes!” Hydro said, holding out her hand. The little girl took it. “My name’s Lilo.” She said. “My name’s Hydro. Let’s go!” They made for the exit, but the big alien suddenly walked in. “How did you escape?” it asked. Suddenly swung down with it’s giant fist and Hydro jumped over it and landed on it. She and Lilo then ran up his arm and through the hole in the roof to freedom.
Ciaran had just finished climbing the mountain. He had a view over the whole island. But more importantly, Inferno was on the other side of the crater. The Dragon was hovering over the crater. Taking all this in, Ciaran formed an idea. He threw his Keyblade at the dragon. Sure enough, it went lower to dodge it. Big mistake. For the mountain they were standing on happened to be a volcano and as soon as the dragon lowered itself, it melted, screeching as it went. “Inferno!” Ciaran shouted across. “Where’s Stitch?!” Inferno shrugged with his shoulders, indicating that he didn’t know. Ciaran sighed. “I’ll meet you down at the ship!”
A few minutes later, running through the jungle, they bumped into Hydro and the little girl, who explained that they were running from the big alien. “Where’s Stitch?” Lilo asked. Inferno shrugged. Suddenly, there was a rustling over in some trees, and the alien came out, holding a gun. “Gantu!” Lilo exclaimed,” Where’s Stitch?” “I don’t know where he is,” the alien replied,” but I do know that he isn’t here to save you now!” With this, he charged up the gun, ready to fire. But just then, Stitch came out of nowhere and grabbed Gantu’s face. The arm holding the gun went back and the green blast hit a tree beside them. “Go!” Ciaran told them and grabbed a big leaf from the wreckage of the tree. Stitch jumped off Gantu’s head and Ciaran swung the leaf at Gantu’s face, dragging it along the ground before. The built up dust hit Gantu and temporarily blinded him. Then he too ran in the same direction, leaving Gantu rubbing his eyes and cursing in fury.
Panting, the group stopped once they had reached the beach again. “Thank you,” Lilo said. “You were really good when you fought that Blizzard Dragon. “No problem, kid,” Inferno replied. “So, what do we do now?” he asked the other two. “Open a portal to a new world?” Hydro asked. “Yeah maybe… Ciaran, I almost forgot,” Inferno said,” you threw your Keyblade into the lava. How are you gonna get it back.” In response, Ciaran closed his eyes. After a few seconds, the Keyblade formed in his hand along with another small object that fell into the sand. “Hm…” Ciaran thought. “What was that?” He bent over and picked it up. It was a small keychain that looked like it could be attached to the Keyblade. “Hey Hydro,” he said,” Catch!” and threw the keychain over to her. Hydro caught it and took off here current keychain. The Keyblade downsized itself into a normal wooden blade with the hook for the keychain. Hydro then attached the new keychain on. The Keyblade glowed in her hand and dazzled the five of them. When the glow died down, Hydro’s Keyblade had transformed into an icy Keyblade with jagged spikes of ice and a blue crystal embedded in the handle. It radiated coldness. “Wow,” Inferno said. “that was unexpected......”
On the beach, the three of them were ready to say there goodbyes. Ciaran had opened up a portal to the lanes between. He was already in armour. “Thank you for saving me, once again!” Lilo said. Hydro smiled. “No problem! Goodbye!” Then she and Inferno hit their shoulder pauldrons and change into their armour. They all threw their Keyblades into the air and then left that world, to journey to another….
