.// Malina's Eyes >>
I could feel myself drifting in darkness...and I couldn't even sense the smallest glimmer of light. Everything was empty....and I had that bitter feeling of loneliness. I didn't know what to do. I couldn't do anything at this point, anyways. I kept my eyes shut as I flew through the empty abyss of oblivion. My mind was carefree at that moment, not feeling sadness or worry. No emotions were occuring inside of myself. "Hey...? A-are you okay?" I heard a a stranger's voice calling my name. From what I could logically determine, it was a young boy....about my age. His voice was warm, yet mysterious. I wasn't able to open my eyes...the darkness was overwhelming me. "Wake up..." The kind voice spoke to me once more, and I could see a large ray of light gleaming through all of the nothingness.
That was it, I was awake. I slowly opened my grey-sapphire eyes, and looked up at the young boy. He had a mass of messy light-blonde hair, which spiked up slightly to the side. His pure, light-cyan eyes were drawn to mine as I lay on the ground, and he knelt down beside me. "Ah, you're awake..." He spoke a bit quietly, but a short smile grew to his face. "Are....you alright?" I was lost for words. I though I would've ended up dead, or something of that sort. Obviously, I wasn't. Or....if heaven looked like a city full with small shops and mid-sized skyscrapers. I first nodded my head, then cleared my throat. "Mmm...where.....where am I...?" I spoke to him, rubbing that throbbing spot in the back of my head. It was a weird bee-sting -or chilling- pain.
"Oh, this is Twilight Town." He informed me, and extended his hand towards me. I first admired the black and white rings around his fingers, then softly gripped onto his hand. And in return, he gently lifted me up to my feet. "So....how did you end up in a place like this...?" He questioned me curiously as we stood face-to-face. "Well, I...." Suprisingly, the boy cut me off, and pointed over the a large Clocktower, not too far from where we stood. "I can tell that this will be a long story, hehe....so, let's go sit up there." He pointed, and walked off infront of me. Before walking after him, I thought back to what had happened before I had arrived here. Images of Meru, Edward, and myself sitting together by the shore of our home island flashed through my mind. Then, I could see Edward standing a few feet away from me as the two of us were engulfed by eternal darkness. Although, the inccident with Meru stuck in my thoughts. Blood flew through the darkened air, and the peircing yellow eyes of the black beasts tortured my mind. It was all a bad nightmare I wanted to awaken from. And, my wish came true. "Are you coming?" The blonde joked to me as I completely snapped from my trance.
"S-sorry!" I raced over to him, a tear dribbling down my right cheek. "Hey.....are you okay..?" He asked me sincerely, but I quickly nodded my head. "Yeah! O-of course, why wouldn't I be? I....just got a little dust in my eye. That's all." I lied to him, wiping away the crystal liquid from my pale face. He merely shrugged, and we continued over towards the sun-lit clocktower. I could tell that it was morning here by the beautiful rising sun, so that ment that I had gotten there sometime overnight. Slightly, the sun had reminded me of home. Where the boys and I would always gaze out into the sky as the sun rose and set. I was nostalgic as I had ever been in my life at that exact moment. Even though only one day had passed, I thought that I would never see Destiny Islands again.
After about fourty minutes had passed, the mysterious boy and I had reached the top of the clocktower. I spoke to him about the weird dream I had a few days ago, involving those yellow-eyed monsters. He nodded his head after I finished speaking a few sentences, and he had a look of shock in his eyes. After I had told him about the large creature that originated from my shadow, I stopped talking. His chin was facing down, and all I could see was the side of his lush face. "Hey, you alright...? Is something wr-?" I cut off my sentence, and he lifted his head up over to me. The expression on his face told me he had something important to say. So, I refrained from speaking any further. "I....had the same dream." He had a strange look of guilt in his eyes after he had spoken. We were silent for a few moments, because were were both thinking, trying to match the pieces to this deluded puzzle up. In order to break the quiet barrier between us, I decided to ask...
"Do....you know what this is?" I asked him, slowly taking out the silver keychain that I had obtained from that strange dream only a day ago from my right pocket. He examined it for a few seconds, then gently tossed his head from left-to-right. "Sorry, i've never seen anything like that before." He had a reassuring smile on his face as he looked over at me, telling that I was a bit upset. "Hey, are you hungry..?" He said to me kindly, trying to ease my sad feeling. "I know a great place down the street...." My chin was leveled lower, and he leaned his head over towards my face, trying to get my attention. Truely, I was pretty hungry, but I was yet again....speechless. Weirdly, he read my mind, and slowly got up to his feet. "C'mon." I tucked away the silver keychain slowly into my right pocket, and stood up, following the blonde haired boy with yet another tear rolling down my face.

I slowly opened my eyes, only to see myself in a completely different place than I had expected. I imagined that I was going to wake up insde a realm of darkness, but it seemed that I was transported into a entirely different world! Then....what we hoped for was true....but we weren't together. Meru.....Malina. They were seperated from me. There was a slim chance that they were even alright. But, I would first have to figure out where I was.....then I would start my journey to search for them. I slowly pushed myself up from the ground, a throbbing pain in my back starting to emerge. I winced, and looked at my surroundings.
I was in a small alleyway, stray boxes and wedges of wood scattered about. "Hey, is anybody here?" I spoke into the nothingness of the air, my words almost silent, for no one was in sight. My words then started to echo, and a chilling feeling ran down my spine. I shrugged it off, and walked into the heart of the town, and saw a small building at my side. Placed above it, was a brightly colored sign. The letters were glimmering with the essence of neon, nailed down onto a wooden plank. I read the sign, and the slightest hint of a smile spred across my face. "The...'Acessory Shop', eh..?"
I placed my gloved hands onto the handlebars of the double-doors, and walked into the shop. I saw a middle-aged man behind the counter -obviously the owner- with a slight look of disatisfaction on his face. "Just a kid..." He mumbled rudely to himself. In his mouth was a dull toothpick, and it bobbed from side-to-side everytime a syllable came from his mouth. Frankly, it was pretty annoying. "Hey, gramps.....where are we?" I questioned him, my arms stubbornly crossed. "Hmph. 'Where are we'? What kinda looney are you?" He joked, but I wasn't laughing. "Look, my name's Ed. All I want to know is what this place is called." I loosened up my posture, getting my point across. "Okay, okay, Ed. I suppose yer from another world, right?" Another world? I was right. I had been sent to a whole different place than my home of Destiny Islands. "W-well, yeah....I think....." I said to him, a but confused at what was going on at that point. "Well, it wouldn't hurt for you to go take a look around town." He then chuckled, the toothpick now fidgeting around at the corner of his lips. "By the way, the name's Cid Highwind. Welcome to Traverse Town."

The blonde-haired boy lead me to the center of town; called Market Street. There were three different shops all around us, one that sold some snacks, and two others that provided items for defense and enhancing one's health. We walked up to the shop an elderly woman owned, and three kids, close to our age wre purchasing some ice cream. "Hey, Roxas." A caramel-eyed boy with spikey black hair called out optimistically. "Who's your new friend?" The one that was adressed by Roxas looked over at me, a smile coming to his face. "This is Malina. She's.....from Sunset Hill." He winked at me, keeping the secret about myself coming from a different world just between the two of us. I then knew that I was able to trust this guy. "We haven't been there in a while, no wonder why we haven't seen you before." The dark brown-haired girl spoke to me, taking a few steps in my direction. Looking at the capris and tanktop she was wearing, I could tell it was summer here. I sure was glad that it was warm back at Destiny Islands, too.
"I'm Olette. It's nice to meet you." She shook my hand, and I saw her light-emerald eyes clearly. I nodded my head, and a slightly shy grin came to my face. Usually, I would have been more outspoken, but my past events had made me a bit insecure than usual. The dirty-blonde that had just paid for the ice cream walked over to me, and handed me one of them. ".....Hayner. Just to tell yah, Seifer doesn't like outsiders, you should be careful around 'im." Seifer? Oh well, I knew i'd meet him later. "Uhh...thanks?" I happily licked the ice cream bar, a salty -yet sweet- sensation bursting through my tastebuds. "My name is Pence." The caramel-eyed boy spoke to me, also eating some of the ice cream as well. I could tell that the four of them did this all the time. "Well, it's nice to meet you guys." I grinned at them, not one of those cheesy ones either. That smile was filled with pure heart. "Oh, yeah. I'm sorry. I never told you my name." The blonde spoke to me, giving off a nervous giggle. "It's Roxas. I hope you have a great time here, Malina." I nodded my head, almost forgetting all my troubles. I took a glance around at my new friends, and nodded my head cheerfully, finishing off the last bite of the ice cream bar. "Yeah.....me too."
