Ticking Clock Bed
I can definitely agree about the smell in a hospital. It isn't the most pleasant smell to smell. At first I thought perhaps this individual was maybe a hoarder. I mostly say this because, he/she mentions longing for their dirty apartment versus the sterilized hospital and its clean surfaces. Then I thought maybe he/she had depression because, they felt tired. And next I thought perhaps they had been a smoker, or simply weak lungs from some other unknown issue that required transplanting. Anyways my point being is that it hooked me in and made me want to know what was wrong with them. xD Furthermore, I felt some of what this person was feeling because, knowing your chances are slim but, having a parent hoping you get better can certainly be overwhelming. And then the end was a shocker. I had to read it twice to make sure my eyes were correct because, he/she waking up surrounded by floras made me think he/she died. ouo Although, I like the brief moment of peace for them until the reality of death set in. Overall, I greatly enjoyed this piece. <3

Yo Cinder! Does each entry have to be posted separately? Or can we do them all and put them into one post? I'm pretty big about writing myself and wouldn't mind trying any of these challenges!

It can be done both ways.
Just use a spoiler box if you're putting all of the entries into one huge post, cause it'll make it easier to load and not lose your work. (Although, I recommend copying your stories beforehand, cause KHI has a tendency to lose someone's work when submitting new posts/threads/ect.) You're also allowed to double post in your own thread as well.Otherwise, I'm super excited to see a new face joining in the contest. I look forward to reading your challenges, Lingering Will!

Well then, my first competitive writing contest! This is gonna be entertaining... How should I go about writing about one of the challenges if I may ask? Got any suggestions?
I kind of just look for one of the topics that sounds interesting or like inspires an idea already in my head of what I could write about. I tend to write more non-fiction with these myself and use it as time to reflect, but I've written one or two things that were just "well now I have an excuse to ACTUALLY write it."
Just do what you want and stretch the rules as you need them to.

I usually just read through the challenges and choose one that I feel like I have muse for rn personally.
