I've had sleeping problems since elementary, but it's getting rather annoying as I can't really get up on mornings to school anymore. When I was home about three years ago, it wasn't a problem since my parents were always waking me up and taking care of that I would go to school every day.

But now, as I live on my own (since I had to move away from home because my school's in other city), I have problems getting up every morning even if I would try to go to sleep earlier than usual... sometimes when I try that it ends up only in that I wake up during the night and can't sleep, and if I happen to get sleep after that I sleep so that I miss school.

I have tried placing my phone to somewhere where I can't get it easily when the alarm clock starts ringing, but usually when I then wake up I don't even remember that I have taken off the alarm. I have other alarm in my computer but usually it doesn't help either.

Help?

Sometimes auditory stimulus is insufficient to wake you. If you have a mobile, set it to vibrate and ring, and put the phone somewhere near your pillow. Not directly under it, but at least so that it makes contact with the mattress, and, by extension, you.

Generally, the vibration of the phone on the mattress creates stronger auditory and tactile stimuli than just the sound from a speaker and should be sufficient to wake you from sleep.

I hope this works!
