Sea Salt Ice cream

This may be the wrong forum for this or it may be an incredibly dumb question. But does anyone have a recipe for sea salt ice cream or any inkling of how it is made?

It actually sounds quite tasty, salty and sweet seems like a wierd combination, but so did peanut butter and jelly...look how that turned out!

I'll try it on the weekend, tell you how it goes

OMG, ALL of you have to make it some day. MUST. It's THEE best ice cream you will EVER eat, I guarantee you that.

At one point that's all I was eating; it ended up being a sort of crack for me. xD;

There was recipe posted somewhere on KHI, I made it and turned out pretty cool. Though, I didn't have sea salt, so I just used table salt. But it was great.

not by itself, you'd have to add blue food coloring/dye.

I didn't either, I used the ice-bag method.

But your ice cream mixture into a small bag(don't know what size).
In a larger bag, but alot of ice + rock salt.
Put your smaller bag into the big one, seal it and shake it around a whole lot.
The ice will get really cold and freeze/chill your ice-cream.

I then put some of it into a rinsed 1pint ice cream container.
The rest went into those plastic juice pop makers.

this stuff is really good, I've made it a few times. but just as a suggestion, go easy on the salt. the first time I made it I put WAY to much salt in and it was really gross. but after that I learned my lesson and I made it again but with less salt and it was so so good.

Okay, I was wondering if that stuff would be too salty, but it sounds fine as long as you limit the salt.

just go to the sea, take some water from there and freeze it later
