First Response to Apathy
I'll need to think on this one more before commenting fully on it. I really liked it because of how well put together it was though. And it makes me think of a leopard being unable to change its spots.
Justice
This ones pretty sad because you can tell the protagonist regrets their actions after what they've done to another human being. You can feel how hopeless they feel, including the weight of what they done hitting them in full force. Yet it shows how strong they are because they don't pretend it didn't happen and owe up to it. This is a stunning poem that makes it easy to visualize what's happen. It's kind of a shame because why should they have to die instead of repenting for it? I know an eye for an eye is one thing, but a life... that's huge, you know?
The Book
This one fills me a bit with positive feelings because there comes a time where the reader is told it can begin again after being told they can't by the bird. Perhaps through trial and error, they have to earn it to begin again and continue forward after feeling like they don't deserve it. Either way, I really like this piece a lot, and I can't really offer much criticism because, I'm not much of a poet but it speaks to me. C: Well done.
