Everyone is pairing up into 1v1 fights, though we all know that's not how it would work.
They'd work in teams to fight each other.
Roxas, Axel and Xion have a LONG history of teamwork to back up their fighting, so those three are not going to be taken down easily. Marluxia and Larxene were masterminds behind a plot to overthrow the organization, so they'd have good teamwork as well, not to mention Marly's final nobody monstrocity has not been outlawed from this bloodfest.
Team 1
Roxas with his two Keyblades
Axel (who beat Xion on multiple occasions)
Xion in her any of her final forms
Marluxia with his final Nobody form
Larxene to bitch them out
Demyx with water clone support
Luxord who locks people into a game when he fights them
against
Team 2
Xemnas with his lightsabers (hardly scary in his normal form at Memory's Skyscraper; only took Sora to win here, Sacred~)
Xigbar with his guns - pretty strong
Xaldin with his six lances and that nobody dragon thing x___x
Vexen with his shield and... Anti-opponents? Eh, weaker than the original = useless
Zexion and a book. AHHH.
Lexaeus and his brute strength (easily toppled by the combined strategies of RAX)
Saix with his uncontrollable Berserk powers which could easily backfire, injuring his teammates (hence why he fights alone)
The difference is that on the newbie side, you have teams of people while on the founders' side you have a team of individuals with large egos. The teamwork and tactics of Team 1 would easily outclass the sheer power level of Team 2.
Nomura says Xemnas is strongest, followed by Roxas, then Xaldin and Lex. Note the word "strong." Obviously, Demyx isn't as strong as those guys. Is he a good combatant? When he wants to fight, yes, he is. Doesn't mean he's strong. You don't need to be "strong" to be "good" and "powerful."
My vote goes for the newbies, Roxas' team.
