Microsoft Office

Anyone know where to download Microsoft Office for free?
Just got my laptop during Black Friday and I was just peeping around the startup menu and I noticed that there was no Microsoft Word. Moreover, Microsoft Office.
So if anyone has any suggestions, do say.

While it's not Microsoft Office, there is OpenOffice, and it can save in more formats are far as I'm aware.

If you have Vista or 7 on your laptop, then Wordpad should work sufficiently for your basic functions, since it's a minimized version of Word 2007. And as Infinity stated, you could always try using OpenOffice.
