Hello everybody! We have tons of new awards for the new year that can be requested through our Awards System thanks to Antifa Lockhart! Some are limited-time awards so go claim them before they are gone forever...
So, I just finished playing KH3 today and I’m just really taken aback. Sora fading away like that really took me by surprise. I know that bringing back Kairi apparently had some consequences to it, but I didn’t think it would result in his death or disappearance. On top of that, why is Luxu in Xigbar’s body and how are all the foretellers still alive? And how come Ava didn’t make it?
And that secret ending though: that was like most non-teaser teaser I have ever seen. Kinda felt pointless, honestly.
Judging by the statements of other characters and reading stuff from the texts in the Gummi phone it looks like Sora vanishes because he put too much of a strain on himself by using the Power of Waking too often in quick succession.
It's obvious that a power like this needs to have some limiters in order for it to be not overpowered.
Luxu using Xigbar's body is a typical Nomura twist but it has been foreshadowed indirectly several times.
I doubt that the Foretellers are "still" alive, they are most likely alive "again" since in order to bring them back it was necessary for the second Keyblade War to happen and Kingdom Hearts be opened, hence why Xigbar/Luxu put up with Xehanort and guided his wacky plans to near success from behind the scenes in the first place.
The secret ending is just seeping with TWEWY energy and the Yozora-guy is thrown in as a WTF-Joker.
It's definitely different compared to the others, but I'd say it actually gave us more than the previous secret movies despite not really showing much, simply because of what those things are. Two video game worlds. The World Ends With You and Verum Rex.
Since Sora is in TWEWY, this would very likely mean he'll be playing the Reaper's Game (possibly thanks to Joshua) in order to come back to life. There's also how his entry fee into the game would be what he values most, and that he'll need a partner (the Reaper's Game is a team effort.)
Verum Rex, which Nomura fooled us all in thinking was just a fun reference to Versus XIII/FFXV to have in Toy Box, is the big, salty mystery here. Riku and Yozora looking alike will probably have some significance. And then there's the fact that it's a video game in Toy Box. So is Riku visiting a video game or does VR have a real counterpart?
