keychains meaning

Okay this is probably been asked before. Anyway I'm confused how come TAV have keyblades with keychains now but, not before. There is probably a simple answer to this but, I don't know it. I bet I'm going to get flame but, who cares I still want a answer lol. Does it have to do that they are apprentices keybladers or that there keyblades are fake.

most likely it was a design flaw or change that Nomura decided to make them have keychains since their keyblades can change.

Nomura wanted to make a big deal about why TAV don't have keychains but decided it was to much trouble so he slapped a couple of keychains on 'em.
