Okay, that clears it up a bit, but Ventus met Sora after Vanitas was defeated, right?

Yes. Basically what happened was that when Vanitas and Ventus fused, they created the X-Blade. So the X-Blade was connected to their hearts. When Ventus destroyed the X-Blade it damaged his heart and Vanitas got destroyed. Since Ven's heart was damaged again, it went back to Sora to be healed.

No they met twice. Once in the beginning of the game and once at the end of the game.

Yeah.

Ven went into a coma when MX pulled the darkness out of his heart and created Vanitas. Then MX dumped him on Destiny Islands. There, Sora's baby heart floating to get born met Ven's busted bleeding heart in the station-of-awakening-type world. So the two connected hearts and Ven was able to wake up and live.

Later, he killed Vanitas; but this broke his heart worse, cause now there was no way to fix it. So Ven's heart just went to sleep fully inside Sora, leaving Ven's body in a vegetable state.

Aqua put the vegetable-body inside Castle Oblivion.

I honestly disagree due to the simple fact sora should stay sora. Not to mention little kids play this game as well and that would confuse the living poo out of them.

Seriously, why on earth does Igloo9 think it would've been cooler for Sora to have Vanitas's face... that would nearly kill the series in my opinion.
