To the right, above my avatar and under my name, it says "Nobody". I've seen other people put custom names in this spot, so I'm pretty sure its not a forum leveling system. How do I edit this title-thing?

Until you reach 1,000 posts you can't customise it.
On your way up to 1,000 you'll get different titles, such as Heartless, Member, Organization Member and so on.

Yep, so in a way, it is a form of leveling up tied to your post count.

See the colors at some usernames?
Once your name gets red like Bonechills above, you can have your custom title and change it whenever you like.
