●Cloud’s mother and Tifa’s father weren’t given names in the original FFVII, but how about in REMAKE?
Toriyama: They both had names in the original FFVII character design documents, so we decided to use them in REMAKE. Now Cloud’s mother is officially named Claudia and Tifa’s father is Brian. Tifa’s dad, however, has no dialogue in REMAKE, so during development we referred to him as “dead body.”
Didn’t KH3 also sell that much copies?
KH3 sold over 5 million copies across the PS4 and Xbox One, FF7R sold as many just on the PS4.Didn’t KH3 also sell that much copies?

Where do I start? Although the game was the game was very confusing (especially at the end), I quite enjoyed it. I could feel the influences of titles FFXV, KH (especially towards the end), and FFXIII. Some more than others.
The game also made me pretty emotional, which is something that the other titles I've stated above have also done (which led me to enjoy them even more). I cried when Aerith rescued Marlene from the bar. I cried when Jessie died. I cried when Tifa cried on Cloud's shoulder. I cried as I approached the end of the game. I rewatched some of these scenes on YouTube and cried even more lol I wasn't expecting that when going into the game.
I really liked some of the character development and the shoes we get placed in during the game: from Cloud to Tifa to Jessie. to Wedge. One critique I have is that I wish they didn't commit to the shtick of making fat/overweight people the butt of jokes (as they did with Wedge).
I was also pleased at how long the game was. The gameplay was good and the scenes were amazing (Shinra Virtual Tour is a notable mention).
This definitely feels like a Nomura game, "time travel" and all. I'm still puzzled by it. The misfits defied fate (like FFXIII) and are entering into what I assume is an alternative future. This aspect reminds me a lot of X Men Days of Future Past (for those who don't know, someone goes back and changes the past and completely changes the future). My question is what triggered this "change" from the original game? I know this has something to do with the Whispers. Was someone sent back in time that caused a change? Who? I assume this was change/erase the events of Advent Children, FFVII DoC. I'm very interested to see where the series will go in the future.
If the future is set to change, this would suggest that Aerith has a chance to live in this reality. But at what cost? Events are going to be altered. Just because Aerith is saved doesn't mean that everyone else is saved from death. Like X Men, VII's events going forward can be completely altered which may result in new losses. If this is what Normura has in mind, I can very likely see Tifa dying. I can't rationalize a reason, it's just a feeling. Also a side note, Tifa in this game reminds me a lot of Aqua for some reason.
I remember seeing something somewhere in which someone at SE said that the events of FFVIIR won't be changed drastically but I have some doubts about that. Obviously, Sephiroth, the meteor, and Shinra are likely to play the same major roles going forward.
I've also wondered what the ending means for Zack. Was the past altered too? Does he live? Separate realities? Connected realities? I hate Nomura's time travel so I won't to get into it.
Trust Nomura to deliver an emotional game but also a convoluted one.
This just gave me flashbacks of young Aerith saying “yOu’Re WrOnG, i’M nOt An AcIeNt” lolAnyways, my own personal favorite is dubbed Descendant of the Ancients.
